I had my first job down at the bottom of the market Percy Ingle bakeries April 1985 at the age of 16 my then boyfriends family had market stalls down there for many years. It was full of stall holders and I felt very safe walking down the market at 6am in the morning everyone knew everyone. I still visit Walthamstow and the market sometimes.

I spent the my first eleven years living with my grandparents in Stamford Hill. It was such a safe place to live. I used to go off with my friends to fish for tiddlers at the pond on Clapton Common and take my brother to Clissold Park. All this without my parents being concerned. The Hassidim were already there but there was also a private catholic school. I also wanted to go to Skinners Grammar School but we moved and I had to go to a different school. I am no longer young but I remember so many happy times .
