I understand that people get to a state where they’re overwhelmed by the chaos of junk and subsequently lose control over the cleanliness of their home. The process of deep cleaning and declutterring that takes place on this show gives the participants a fantastic chance to ‘reset’ and start again with a clean slate. What I fail to understand is the huge percentage of people who promptly revert to their previous habits and then appear to find it hugely entertaining that the very people who helped them get out of their mess are disappointed when they return a couple of weeks later. Very few even bother to thank the team. I suppose it could be staged for ‘entertainment’ purposes but can’t help thinking of the hundreds of people out there who would give their eye teeth for the opportunity to have their lives improved.

What a shame she didn’t take this seriously. The bacteria she’s happy to live in could quite easily kill her if her immune system gets compromised. 🙄

Im so beyond grateful that my mum brought me up cleaning, doing chores, helping out etc. I cant stand even dust let alone squalor. My god🤢😬

Una casa no se abandona asi de esa manera en 2 dias. Esta gente son sucias por naturaleza. Hay casas mucho mas pequeña limpia y ordenada. La persona que es limpia, lo es siempre, excepto que llegues a una edad en que no puedas tener la casa como puedes, pero buscan a alguien que le haga el trabajo.

Well, I will give Annie credit for at least being honest - no stories about trauma, depression, being overwhelmed, other excuses, whatever, that we usually hear. The truth in a lot of these places is that people just don't care - it's not always about mental illness or some traumatic event. I feel bad for the cats having to live in that, more than anything.

On a serous note am really surprised the social services district take the children into care after it was aired to the national. Shame on them those poor kids having to grow up in that shithole.

OMG absolutely shocking. How human can leave at this house. Having so many kids is not excuse. Putting some bleach at toilet and giving a hoover once a week is not a big job

Honestly these British cleaning shows have made me clean up more and i think its really made positive effect on me. Im from the other side of the world and I've only come across these British cleaning shows last year and only through TH-cam.. I've gone through the Filth channel and seen Obsessive compulsive cleaners and grime fighters and now this show. I like all of it and id love to wach more. Can anyonehere from Uk share other similar cleaning shows? Thanks to the uploader.

My Gosh so lazy

Honestly these videos gave me the motivation to clean my room. I had a decades worth of junk piled up in a tiny room - I'd have to take huge steps to get from my door to my bed. My parents are away and i have a week off work so decided to finally do something. When throwing stuff out, i was brutal - unless it's something i use or wear now - it goes. 10 rubbish bags, a lot of hoovering, wiping, dusting and spraying and my bedroom is the tidiest I've seen it in years. For the past year since i started my first long time job i had a system where i just threw my clothes on the floor, then every Sunday picked them up, washed them and put them in the drawers. Now I've made sure to place a washing up basket and bin in my room so the mess doesn't build up again. Also looking at getting a book case as i have nowhere to put my books now, will probably have to rearrange furniture to fit that in though. Honestly, the difference is night and day and I'm still not done - been able to get to the wardrobe for the first time in years and there's a lot of childhood toys in there that I'm struggling to let go of for stupid sentimental reasons but I'll have to because i need the wardrobe for more clothes storage

The mom is trying the dad just dosnt care and wants the mom to clean everything and take care of 7 kids insane so sad 😢

Dare I say that this is considered neglect?

This lady must have been a beauty in the past, ger house is gorgeous and I love the organic animal farm. Sadly, she's mentally unwell. I have a close relative with the same issue (doesn't want to clean so not to put any chemicals in the nature; believes it's all natural and good for your immune system - their place is apalling, and they are hoarding; sadly I don't know what the issue is).

Why do they keep touching this filth with their bare hands?! I don't get it!
