A Starlink Satellite Passes in Front of the Moon (Starlink Transit). Not a Bird or Bat, Right?
I’m pretty sure this is a Starlink satellite passing in front of the moon, but man, it looks like a bird. I think it’s just the horrible atmospheric conditions that are making it look like it’s more than just a black dot. It passed in front of the Moon at the exact angle and exact place on the Moon where the Starlink satellite was predicted. It was off by 20 seconds, but I’ve seen that before with some of these predictions. I don’t think there are too many birds out at at night, and this bird (or bat) would have to be thousands of feet in the air to be that small. Also, if it was a bird/bat it should be a clearer silhouette, but it's being impacted by the atmospheric disturbance, so it's got to be miles in the air. I’m going with Starlink but you can vote in the comments. 🙂

Dew Heater Ring Installation on a Celestron Nexstar 6SE
มุมมอง 46หลายเดือนก่อน
This is a super-easy install of the dew heater ring for the Celestron 6SE telescope. These instructions are shorter than Celestron's video version and specific to the 6SE so you don't have to waste your time watching instructions that only apply to the 8" and above.
My 3-Month Journey to Getting the Perfect Picture of the International Space Station
มุมมอง 100หลายเดือนก่อน
Follow along from when I first hatched the idea of trying to take a picture of the International Space Station, to building a custom mount for my telescope to attempting the capture, and through several trials and learning experiences. It was worth the pain though in the end! The telescope is a Celestron 6SE and the astrophotography camera I used is the ZWO 678MC. Everything else is custom, as ...

Stranded Boeing Starliner on the International Space Station Through my Telescope!!!
มุมมอง 1713 หลายเดือนก่อน
Every once in a while the International Space Station flies over and you see it as a bright "star" moving across the sky. Welcome to my recent obsession... trying to take a picture of it through my telescope. After many way-too-early mornings I finally got the technique down and captured this shot from my front yard. The lighting on the station was just perfect so that you can see the Boeing St...
200,000 Pictures of Saturn from Night into Day (5-Hour Time Lapse)
มุมมอง 734 หลายเดือนก่อน
There's only a short period of time during the year when you can shoot something like this, where Saturn is at its high point during the day, but far enough away from the Sun (close enough to Earth) to take meaningful shots with a small telescope like mine. Saturn isn't particularly close during this time but I was still able to tease out some details as I shot it from pure darkness to full day...

Photographing Jupiter in the Day - Hike, Kicked Out, Starlink Photobomb, Jupiter Photos!

This is my afternoon journey of finding and photographing Jupiter in broad daylight near Denver, Colorado. SOLVED - Roomba Not Fully Docking and Dust Bin Not Emptying Well
มุมมอง 4.7Kปีที่แล้ว
My Roomba i3 wasn't fully docking so it was coming up short and the self-emptying function wasn't very effective. It was often taking several emptying sequences to empty the bin or it would try to empty the bin and give an error that it was unable to empty. Bush Removal by Brute Force - No Power Tools - Just a Pruner, Axe, and Saw
มุมมอง 853ปีที่แล้ว
How I took out 3 overgrown evergreen bushes in the front of my house. I'm not sure if these are junipers, false cyprus, or round arborvitae, but they needed to come out. I simply used hand pruners to remove all of the branches down to the stumps, then used a tree saw to get the stumps down as much as possible, then hacked away with an axe until everything was gone.

Trying to fix mine. Done everything I can think off. But right when the main two wheels hit the start of the docking station, it sorta gets stuck for half a sec and gives up, reversing immediately and reverses like 3 meters, spins a bit and does error 14. Makes no sense

EASIEST FIX FOR EMPTY BIN PROMT NOT WORKING!!! We suffered the empty bin mode not working. It would disappear from the app dashboard when you pressed it and not reappear until later.we spoke to customer service and I did everything suggested for the j6. Rebooting, blowing out the dust behind the bumper, removing the vac tube under the tower, making sure there were no blockages, blah blah blah blah . . . Nothing worked until i did a factory reset from the app and saved the map option. The empty bin worked perfectly. It will also force update the software. They never suggested it. Dumb asses.

Also heard that there is a sensor in the front bumper area that also causes this issue, and that you need to clean it. The post I saw said to take off the front bumper to clean but used a can of compressed air and that did the job.

One of my neighbors has a much easier method - he uses a big power washer and just blasts the dirt off all the roots, then snips them all with pruners and rolls the stump out of the hole. He's removed some pretty big stumps this way in our neighborhood and it's very low effort.

Great question. When I'm drinking coffee, I would say 90% of the time it is off the base and drains all the way down to no heat as I sip the coffee over an hour. After finishing my coffee, the cup immediately goes back on the base until the next day's coffee, or maybe an afternoon tea.

Thanks for watching! I used PIPP to find the frames with the station in it and center them. It has an ISS setting for it that works really well. I also experimented with stacking some of the images in Registax but it was never more than 3 or 4 that "qualified" (need to be good shots all taken within a few seconds of each other) and it didn't improve the shots much.

I found to have the same problem. I did the same hack prior to finding your video. iRobot tech support keeps blaming it on other components like the dust bin, now the wheels being worn. I've throughly cleaned everything on my Roomba with the same result. I forward a link to iRobot tech support since your video describes exactly why it's failing to self empty.

Your way of doing it as good as any . The surest way to get views for a TH-cam vid is to include the word “easy “ in the title regardless of what the topic is . I have seen it used so many times . People about to undertake an unfamiliar task will understandably have a bit of self doubt in their minds and look for some kind of short cut and because of lack of experience will fall for all kinds of crap .

Looks like a lot of hard work. Which was only overcome at the expense of your good shape and young age. Instead of an axe, you used a pickaxe... a very inappropriate tool. And instead of chopping or cutting the remains of the tree with a hacksaw, you chopped it as if you had an engine and a big mechanical shredder instead of your hands. It is inefficient and difficult. I think it was better to cut off the roots and pull out the stump completely as usual instead of chopping it into pieces.
