Excelente!!! Gracias por tanta enseñanza!!
Come si chiama quell'attrezzo tipo penna che usi per bucare le perline? Dove mi consigli di comprarlo?😊 Grazie
Very clear video. What temp to you fire with the final glaze? Clay body and cone? Thanks
Thank you for the video :) beautiful work! I have just received my home kiln and would like to create earthenware jewelry beads. I would like to put into practice a single/raw glaze firing. I have read on internet that this firing can take from 8 to 12 hours. Basically, on my kiln safety instructions says to don’t heat the kiln continuously for more than 8 hours. I am not sure if I bought the right kiln for my work?Does this firing depends on the dimension of the pieces? Is 8 hours enough for a raw glaze firing? I am confused. I will appreciate any help 🙂
y dont need to use any metal wire ...My system is i make 100/300 conelike spikes or nails with clay! ok ? dry and cook and just impale your beads on top. They have to be very sharp like a needle at the end and very straight AND y have to erase a little the inside of the hole of the beads so that it is conic and no enamel will block the hole and like that the spike is reusable. Also the string of the necklace will be safe with that.
Please turn sound up .great information
Pipe cleaners Ive seen have wire in them? Are they what you use?
What tool clamps the bead to dip into glaze?
Thank you so very much for sharing tips in glazing beads. Pipe cleaners - brilliant. I thought glazing beads were impossible, but now realise its possible.
Excellent tuition. Thank you😊
Pretty! Thanks!
Do you use some wax to keep the glaze away from the holes when putting them on wires in the kiln?
Pipe cleaners as said in tools
Could I fire beads on an enamelling kiln? I think it goes to 920 degrees. Your work is beautiful, Thanks for the videos.
My condolence's to Rupert 😇
Muy bonito y también me gustó ese horno pequeño. Me podría decir qué características tiene por favor? es que quid comprar un horno así para crear pequeñas piezas de porcelana 🌸🌸🌷🌸🌷🧚♂️
Good Morning! When do you put the hole in your cylinder bead?
Thank You so much for your straight forward way of teaching! I learned a lot from you! What type of porcelain clay do you use.
Hi Could you tell me what kind of clay you use ? Thank you
It says in the video
Beautiful
Hi, I'm new to beads and was wondering if you could list all the tools you used through this video including the pin for beads and the rolling pin?? I'd really appreciate the help! Also the oil won't affect the clay?
Hi I m from CostaRica, i would like to make ceramic but i dont have ceramic oven, do you know how to make ceramic oven home? Gracias.
thank you so much for the information
Good job! Very clear explanation, great didactic and way of passing on knowledge! I don't know if it helps but maybe if you bend the ends of the kanthal wire around the corners of the blocks (c shape) prevent the wire from flexing so much. I hope to help. thanks
Ohhhh Nooooo!!! To Funny!
How many day's before the clay becomes leathery???
Hi Laurie, most clays will be leather hard within a couple of hours after forming (if left uncovered), especially for smaller forms like jewelry. You can prolong the drying process by using plastic bags to cover your work.
@@earthnocturne7141 Thank you! I really like your videos. I am hoping to start some bead making this coming weekend. Thanks again.
I’m just now getting started with making my own pendants. Thanks for making this video ❤️very helpful
Thank you so much for your vids! Hopefully I get to use the kiln of my college after covid

Beautiful beads! I had no idea all the work that goes into it. Thanks for sharing!
Love those! So beautiful! What kind of wire did you use?
Kanthal wire
Cool ideas!
Hi thanks. it answered some questions. i am trying to make spacer beads and square center piece beads to hide my knot. i am using a microwave Kiln. what can i use to keep my holes open inside the kiln??
what is that tool called that you are using to punch out the shape of the bead? :D it is fantastic!
Hope someone responds. Or is it a trade secret?🤣
Thank you for your video, it's been really helpful! If possible, Can I have more information in the buffing process for the beads? I couldn't find any información in that part. Thank you so much 😊
Hi! Great idea!! The points where the kanthal wire comes in contact within the holes in the beads...will the wire cause those spots to NOT come out glazed after firing? I am making a piece that needs to be 100% glazed all around, even within the hole, so it can be 100% food safe (as the piece will be submerged completely in food)
The wire will stick to the glaze. Try using low fire non toxic/food safe glazes cones 05 or 06have a large assortment of non toxic glazes, and DON'T glaze inside the wholes as the wires will stick, and also, the clay will be hard enough that it will not absorb your food or be toxic to it, so don't worry about that.
i would like to see a video of how you attach your wire and string. I have made jewelry, but i can not figure out how to go the step further and add wire and string. thanks :)
Thanks for your great videos. Really appreciate them.
Many thanks for your videos. I work with metal clay at the moment, and have been wanting to try out ceramic clay for beads and pendants, but haven't really known where to begin. So I'm really happy to have stumbled across your videos; they are very clear and simple to understand for beginners like me!
Really hard to find anyone showing how to glaze fire and put in the k8ln small pendants. Thanks
Thank you for sharing your invaluable information! I am currently using a microwave kiln to fire my Raku beads but because I have no way to anchor them properly, one side sticks to the kiln paper. Can I use Kanthall Wire in the kinl that goes inside the microwave? I hope to get a reply and would appreciate any type of information regarding this question. Thank you very much .
Hi Madelyn, just noticed your comment sorry for the delay. I don't have experience with the microwave kiln that you're using, but I wouldn't recommend using any type of metal wire in the microwave. Maybe you could prick some holes where the wire will go, fire the piece, and then glue the wire into the holes after firing? Glue on bails also work, I use a lot of wire wrapped bails too (need a threading hole). There are many options, I hope you'll find one that works for you!
y dont need to use any metal wire ...My system is i make 100/300 conelike spikes or nails with clay! ok ? dry and cook and just impale your beads on top. Also the string of the necklace will be safe with that. Yes i use microwave chinise kiln whit that. Y can do up to 25 beads of d12mm in such a tiny kiln in a matter of 20 min with this system !!! but up to 1000C not cone 6 or 1250C. I drive this mini kiln wth a pid controller rex c100 ( 15€ at our socalled friend Ali) to have correct temperature! IT WORKS !! The system with tungten bars takes too much room and bend anyway and is troublesome to extract the beads. Just do clay nail swith a big basis...some will break , just do more!!!
What type of clay are you using?
Where did you get the wood spout maker? Love you beads 🤗
I love your videos thank you for making them!!!!
Thanks cecil, I'm looking forward to uploading much more in 2019, hope to see you there!
