I do have TH-cam premium, because every time I try to find a mobile ad blocker, something breaks. Whether it’s I get ads anyway, or no content because the ads don’t play, it makes it impossible to watch on my phone. Should I stop watching TH-cam all together? (the answer is yes, I have better things I should be doing, but I don’t wanna). If I was on PC for TH-cam exclusively, there would be no point to premium.

regarding 17:10 the demographic split between male and female in gaming was massive back in the day, and still is the demographic split cited here is only looking for people playing videogames, it does not actually break down which video games they are playing. i am not interested in starting an argument about whether "mobile gaming is real gaming", but the type of gaming he is talking about in this part of the video is VERY CLEARLY about PC and console gaming online, which less than 10% of female players mention as being part of their library of games they play. the framing of this point is clearly to make it seem like women were always part of these genre specific gaming environments online and that they just didn't speak up, but the data shows that this is not the case and the entire point that is being made here falls flat because of it, which is completely unnecessary, as there are plenty of positive things that can be cited regarding the policing of hatespeech in gaming without making up something randomly. also: using chess as an example of online strategy gaming is like putting a tomato in a fruit salad.
