Some cruise lines do not allow them but others dont. You cannot fly them from the ship but you can do so in certain ports as long as you follow the countries guidelines and registration procedure. In many countries I have had to register the drone with the aviation authority of that country and in some cases even purchase €1 million Insurance policy. Hope that helps!

This is deck 10 but the layout of all of the balcony rooms is exactly the same!

Had to prearrange transport as availability is extremely limited.

So I did not stay there long enough but I scoped it out a little bit and found there were several restaurants I was able to go in. Some of them had little steps that I was able to jump in my power chair like the café. There are plenty of places with outdoor dining and I even had one restaurant offered to take out a ramp so I can dine inside. I used a Foley so I did not have to use the bathrooms because that is a complete mess although one of my clients that went said they found an accessible bathroom on the main street near the cathedral but I would have to find out the specific name. I definitely would like to go back and spend several days. Hopefully 2026!

With the scooter you should be able to tackle most of those locations even without the van rental, just make sure your battery is fully charged!

@@MaryC-j6x yeah no worries! Definitely make sure everyone fills out the mobility questionnaire form. Depending on the room they may have the pulldown bed from above instead of the sofa bed so it may be necessary to bring an air mattress. I didnt want to risk it with a layover so I did the non-stop from Atlanta. I feel like all the airlines have their good days and bad days so it's best to wrap your chair up as best you can! @@WheelieAwesomeAdventures Budapest is beautiful but you will have to plan well in advance, because accessibility is spotty at best. If you come to one of the Eastern European capitals, I suggest that you transfer at FRA. Their assistance is very professional and well organised. (They’re Germans after all). I would love to retire in NYC. I hope we can fistbump there in the future!

Wow, what a harrowing set of experiences! Losing your custom wheelchair mid-journey and having to fight for its return is beyond stressful-and being stuck in a their lousy chair!? That's the kind of "adventure" no one signs up for. I'm so sorry you went through that. Your friend's situation is equally heartbreaking and shows just how critical proper training and care during transfers is. It’s stories like these that underline why accessible air travel needs to improve, and fast. These incidents are exactly why I focus so much on educating travelers and advocating for better accessibility. Hopefully, more awareness and advocacy will lead to some real change in the industry.

The square footage is probably under 300sf but its comparable to NCL standard balcony cabins. The large NCL balconies are usually the aft facing which are great!

@@MatthiasHamilton oh yeah my aft facing club balcony suite on Norwegian is one of my favorites I'm hoping to be able to get one of the loft suites on Royal Caribbean one of these days!

@@WheelieAwesomeAdventures I went on my first cruise this past july on NCL and while the cabin was fabulous i wasnt really impressed with much else on the boat.. I'm hoping to try Celebrity Next and get the same-size cabin. I think the cabin on NCL i had was a modified handicap classification!

@WheelieAwesomeAdventures that's how our last cruise was. Have a 10 year old daughter that loves the slides but it's getting harder to get her up the stairs. Know of an cruises that would be better for that?

That actually brings up a voice prompt that verbally says every floor and you push the button again when it says the floor you would like. Not very useful for me I feel like it's more for people with visual impairments but I don't know how they would find the button to begin with

@@jimandkarishma7626 the beds have enough clearance for a lift and for your suitcase to be stored underneath. As far as bringing a Hoyer lift in the bathroom I'd say it depends. If you have one on wheels where the legs can go narrower you can get through the doorway but many variables for the maneuverability.
