Yknow at the end of the day they were young when dave discoverd them. We dont know much of what went on behind the scenes, but im sure it wasnt a good enviorment for the chipmunks. I can see why alvin turned to drugs and i wish someone had cared enough to intervene. We may say we do or did, but we didnt. We kept listening and enouraging this unheathly life they had been coursed into.

Midway through their set, he began tuning his bass to frequencies that seemed to resonate with the very fabric of reality. The strings vibrated in a hypnotic dance, and the crowd was entranced. As the night wore on, Theodore's behavior grew increasingly odd. He swapped his usual bass pick for a mysterious, glowing plectrum he claimed to have found in a heroin nosedive. With each note he played, the room's temperature dropped, and the air filled with the scent of ozone. The climax of the evening came when Theodore, in a moment of madness or genius, hooked his bass up to a series of effects pedals that didn't just alter the sound but seemed to warp the space around him. The audience watched in awe as spectral hands appeared, plucking the strings alongside him, creating a chorus of otherworldly overtones. The gig ended with Theodore smashing his bass into an amplifier, which didn't shatter but instead swallowed the instrument whole, leaving behind a pulsating black hole on stage. The crowd erupted into cheers, not sure if they had witnessed a breakdown or a breakthrough. From that day on, Theodore was known as the Bassist de Cósmico, a title he wore with pride. His performances became legendary, each one more unpredictable than the last. Some say he's still out there, tuning his bass to the dark matter that binds the stars, forever searching for the ultimate riff that will unravel the mysteries of the universe.

I met Theodore once in the lobby of some hotel in Chatanooga, I didn’t want to say anything in an effort to not seem like a pest but before I knew it we were in an elevator together, He looked like he just got through a long night, But I mustered up the courage to ask for an autograph, he was alot nicer than I was expecting, but I could tell he was mentally drained, after learning about the kind of things the band did during there peak I knew that he didn’t want to live that life anymore, I heard he’s now a Pastor down south and him and Simon got together for a small reunion show in a park in Denver a few months back. After what happened with Alvin those years ago I can see that what happened to him changed Theodore and opened his eyes to the mistakes he made in his youth

I remember it vividly, the day I got the opportunity to witness these dudes back in San Francisco. It was on their '89 tour, after a radically fascinating show, a buddy of mine managed to get me free backstage access to the back rooms of the venue. what I got to see brought out an array of emotions, starting off with Theo (my muse at the time), right at the time he was grabbing his weathered green sweater, I got to introduce myself, and he was very welcoming and placid. I thanked him for all he's achieved in the underground music scene, and that I was lucky enough to see the guys rocking. He thanked me for the compliment, but had to leave because he was tired (they were crashing at an old-timey motel in Sacramento). I only got to share waves with Alvin, until I eventually stopped to catch a glimpse of Simons room; it was the most dingy, trashed, and overall destructed space. Keep in mind, this was around the time Simon was the drug abuser in the circle, there were scattered hypodermic needles, spoons, and a pvc leather belt on the chair. it was saddening, Theo hates it, Alvin was naive, the chippettes (their occasional guest vocalists) were under frequent trepidation just by standing near him. years later, I''m still recollecting the time I learned about Theodore's disappearance, Alvin's suicide, and Simons 40 year sentence. I still have sleepless nights bearing that truth in mind. R.I.P Theo.

Dave Seville deserves prison time for what he did to these boys. Absolutely shameful. God but the music goes hard though.

Nothing will ever be safe on these centralised networks where the controlling entity can do as they please (and be instructed to do the will of others). Decentralisation is the key (defy them such opportunity). Now, back to flicking through your awesome videos here... :)
