How to change a broken iPad screen
How to change a broken iPad screen. How to Replace & Fix a Broken iPad Screen.
In today's video, we'll show you how to change the iPad screen step-by-step.
The tutorial is recorded replacing the broken screen of an iPad2, but it can also be used as a guide to replace the broken glass of other iPad models such as iPad 1, iPad 4, iPad Air, iPad Mini, iPad Pro, etc.
The steps are as follows:
1- Remove the broken touch screen (digitizer)
2- Remove screws
3- Separate the screen with a suction cup
4- Disconnect cables from the touch screen and LCD/display
5- Cleaning
6- Putting up adhesive strips
7- Connect new digitizer/touch
8- Connect LCD and screw on
9- Sticking adhesive strips to the touch screen
When you buy a new screen, it usually comes with a kit that includes everything you need to replace the broken screen.
The first step is to remove the broken screen. The adhesive they use is very strong so it costs a lot to remove the broken screen and leave it completely clean of glass.
At this point you have to be careful, especially with the ipad camera.
The next step is to unscrew all the electronics from the chassis to access the cables at the back.
Once the fastening screws are removed, we separate the screen with a suction cup that is normally included in the kit. This way we access the back where the flat cable that connects the touch screen and the LCD Display is.
We carefully disconnect the cables using one of the plastic tools.
Then we clean the whole edge to leave it completely clean from the glue of the old adhesive. Here we can use cotton with alcohol or acetone.
And when it is completely clean and dry we put the adhesive strips for the new display.
Then we connect the cables of the new screen from the back and screw them on.
Once it is fixed we remove the adhesive strips from the screen and stick them carefully.

    Thats got to be one the most cowboy jobs I have seen on youtube 😮 Using plastic terminal blocks for the connection is shocking and unsafe, should be hard wired into a 45amp outlet that would offer shielding from any spillage from the oven of work surface with the plastic cover... fixing it in with silicone is just "Yeeeehawwww !"..... awful advice for any DIYers and no surprise there's only 278 subscribers to this dangerous channel.. get an electrician in rather than risk this kind of workmanship

    Hi! is it possible to connect a 3 phase hob to a single phase outlet? is there any risk of overheating or short circuits later on? Sorry I can´t really tell from the video

    • @evgenshkaruba4166
      @evgenshkaruba4166 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. This is a very big risk because if you will turned on maximum and installed energy avtomat at 32A and using cables at 2,5mm² (like this video 😢) - this will be fire. Because, you'll using avtomat at 27A (but then you will not using maximum) or upper your cable cross-section to 4mm² or using 3 lines (if you can) You will need using power like can or not turn on hob maximum (why 😊). Instruction for better!

Tried clean the outer glass but didn't help. Could I just pop out the cover and get to clean it myself? Only could see two screws on the hinge side. Tq.

    In the UK that wiring would be considered illegal, it is also dangerous. If you cannot do it yourself get a qualified electrician experienced in this type of installation, check their registration and references.

    • @LK25278
      @LK25278 ปีที่แล้ว

      illegal why? common wiring here in Croatia. Among other things, all chandeliers / light fixtures are connect this way - phase + neutral + ground (not always) directly to the wiring in the walls via these clamps shown in the video (not sure how they're called in english exactly)...

    • @esoxlucius5222
      @esoxlucius5222 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LK25278 The connector block is not insulated and it is exposed, presenting the risk of electrocution. UK regulations would not permit that as an acceptable installation. The hob cable would have to connect to the power cable via a purpose made box. Also, the video does not explain how the cable rating/diversity calculations are made. I guess the regulations are less strict in Croatia.

    • @LK25278
      @LK25278 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@esoxlucius5222 No no, im not an electrician or anything like that, so i dont know for sure, and yes obviously i understand that this is all exposed but i didn't realize the video meant to leave it like that, i suppose it did now that i look at it. I thought to myself this would be okay if it was placed in the hole and covered with a plastic cap with a hole in it for the cables to go through (again im not sure how its called in english. How would you go about insulating it?

    • @esoxlucius5222
      @esoxlucius5222 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LK25278 Ok induction hobs are made with various current requirements, cheap versions plug into mains sockets. Those requirement more power require a more specialist installation. You need to determine the current the hob will draw and fit an appropriate breaker to the power distribution unit, you then need to fit the correct size cable and fit a dual pole isolation switch, this requires a cable going to a box, usually sunk in the wall behind the hob. A face plate connector is used to connect the hob cable to the power cable. All safe with no bare conductors. The isolation switch must be sited for easy access but must be a certain distance from the hob (I can't recall right now) Full detail on UK electrician and regulation sites. It may be different in Croatia. A lot of the online TH-cam videos only tell part of the story. Talk with a skilled electrician to get it right. Take look at this, it is for an oven connection but shows the key components - a hob install would be very similar: th-cam.com/video/-ymmgBKdWjE/w-d-xo.html
