Contractor Van Transit 250 Organization
My Transit 250 Organization
My van setup is constantly changing. I would love to add more drawer systems (Milwaukee? The new tough built?) so I could stuff more awesome tools in there.
What do you think of the setup? What should I add/remove?

Milwaukee Packout Rolling Chest Painters Toolbox Endgame
มุมมอง 67K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Ultimate painters toolbox. Many years of just throwing brushes and tools in a 5 Gal pale finally over. I was surprised when the tool chest arrived at my doorstep. It was massive! When everything was set and done, it was just right. The footprint wasn't too bad when storing it upright in your van.
Milwaukee Packout Diy Dolly
มุมมอง 38K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Saw the prices for a Packout dolly here in Canada and I couldn't justify paying $120 for one. Built my own with some wood laying around. Milwaukee Tool PACKOUT Wall and Floor Mounting Plate and Casters costed about $75. Was it worth it? let me know, thanks.

Would you still buy this or go for the Purdy system now?
Sweet.. hell yeah
Merci amigo :) 🎉
Very nice
Gotta make sure you bang into the customes doors and trims 😂 Love it, you left nothing out.
Sorry I have one question where you buy clip for brushes can you send a link ❤❤❤
Great work! You should be designing these boxes.
Very good work my guy
Where did you buy those clips from for the brushes?
very good work.. just lacks the explanation of what your doing.. measurements etc
U sell any custom tool boxes like the one but different kind of tool box?
sweet
Router left to right, counter clockwise when on side away from you and router won't jump
What’s that tool below the m18 orbital sander?
this is cool going to have to make me a set up kind of like this
Curious to know if those screw. Come loose after awhile frim riding around in your vehicle and vibrating . ? Also could riv nuts work or theu bolta wirh lock tight
This is really good. Well done. This should have 10000+ views!
Well done. You have great videos on organization of tools. Keep it up!
It's probably just me but i think it's ridiculous that we buy something at that price and they don't even include any of the dividers.
It the router bit manual it says not to seat the bit all the way in the collet
Excellent mate , i'm always trying to fine my storage for my painting kit so will be trying a couple of these things out , cheers from the UK👍
okay okay, i like it.
How do you stop it from sliding away when you add your box on top? You need to have someone hold it? Or put it against a wall. I wanted to do toss originally, then learned the Milwaukee don’t had a foot break built in ABs the wheels can lock.
Add wheels that lock. It’ll still Move a little on you, but locking wheels would keep it from completely rolling away.
What is that yellow tool at 4:36?
👍🏽😊
Wow your van is so neat😮 Thanks for sharing!
What kind of wood and thickness did you use for the lid and the sections inside?
Looked high and low for a foot locker style trunk to store my daughter's dress up clothes. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxRkkpE1_3gMEZ2mPhAt6b2moNCUXyH8tG I had one growing up that I stored my Barbies in and wanted something sturdy like that for her costumes. This arrived really, really quickly and is exactly what I've been looking for. Perfect size, color (pink) and has stood up for nearly a year so far against my kids using it as a chair, stage, and barricade (😬) to keep each other out of their rooms. I'm probably going to order another one for my daughter's Barbies.
If your routing against the left, push forward. Vice versa. That’s why it jolted back on you
Why didn’t you just buy the rolling packout cart? I know those are cheaper but your time is worth money as well. Just seem like a big waste of time. Sorry.
I could think of reasons it’s not a “waste of time”. Crate is on bottom on the cheaper one, so it sucks - the dolly version is better, can put drawers on bottom, but it’s way overpriced for functionality. Not that hard to work out. If you’re making $10/h; it took 20 hours to afford that $200 monstrosity. Welders make their own carts, heavy as hell but functional, they make good money, they just wasting time too? P.S. How you going to be on a TH-cam comment section about wasting time? That’s wild. You do understand he made something he’ll use - you sat on your ass and watched. Who’s wasting time? P.P.S. Yes other than me wasting time on dumbasses on the internet - not understanding the talent it takes, and use of doing things yourselves and not being an incompetent moron who can’t do his own work.
Thanks for sharing,I use 3/4 shelf plywood to flush trim and cut a small plywood nail it on the edge making a handle in order to carry it easily
Smart! Thank you for the ideas! I’m a painter and I always want to be more organized thank you.
Please do a step by stelntutorial
Great videoh and method you showed to trace the outline of the plate. I was originally going to purchase the Milwaukee packout dolly until I noticed a lot of owners mentioning that the castor stems wear away at the plastic plate and begin to fail after a couple of months. I'm going you build my dolly based on your video with a few changes like bigger wheels and maybe a slightly bigger footprint to keep from tipping. Really appreciate your thoughtful design. Blessings sir and great job!
Electrician here..... What was the thing you used to cut out the edges of plywood? Is that a milwaukee planer? You used it before the sander. It worked almost like a jigsaw
M18 router
Thank you
What clips did you use for your extension poles and your tray handle? that's an amazing setup and nice to see some fellow Canadians on TH-cam!
Nothing impresses me anymore, but these modifications are next level GREAT JOB
Id really like this set up, if can calculate all the material, packout box and your labor. Can i have you make one for me and i will pay you in advance to get the material?
Hi, is it possible for me to pay to make two of these carts but have the wood to be water resistant?
That’s awesome, nice work
Yes, ordered two montage plates after watching your video presentation. I’m on the other hand an noob in such but I do my best to following the steps seen on the video. Somehow confused: the Milwaukee Montage plate doesn’t come with screws. Read in the Manual M6 x 16mm threaded inserts such as screw to install rivet nuts (Jack nuts) OR 6mm x 32mm lag screws. Pity that this is not seen in your presentation. Ok I will searching for, it would help the get in answer an for example Amazon direct link. Then it most be understandable how the screws looking. The dolly is very good making but is it strong enough for heavy machines? Perhaps most for heavy weights used thicker wood.
How much so you can make me one and send it to me? Serious question 🧐
I like the idea, for a minute I was thinking (not noticing the title) that it was gonna be a template to make other mounts, which is what I need to do. Using the router gave the idea of how to make it easier. Thanks! Good job!
Nice job, I’m definitely getting this packout and setting it up custom for my tools.
Fine and creative if you have nothing else to do with your time, and assuming you have the right components and tools at hand, yadda-yadda. But time is money. I can admire your outcome, but it still doesn't have the large locking wheels of the PACKOUT dolly, it's based on plywood that won't last in my coastal environment the way my PACKOUT dolly will, and I could have delivered half a dozen meals to local shut-ins while you were building this thing. Thanks for sharing, but have you stepped back to consider how you're spending your time? Sorry, but I just ain't buying your ROI. Call it a hobby and it's fine with me. But please don't pitch it as a money saver. Pitch this concept to any professional investor and you'll quickly get the metrics to prove my point.
Outstanding sir thank you
Better off with purty paint box.
lol yeah a one trick poney 3 box system or PACKOUT with hundreds of options/ modifications and a cult following of custom mods or um… Purdy’s 3 boxes where their big idea is to hang 6 brushes 😂🤦🏻♂️
thanks for sharing the build, spent a ton on packout this week and can't justify spending $99usd on the dolly either. Since I don't have a work bench, it'll do double duty when I connect 3 of them together and have a seat, I'd totally do this as well th-cam.com/video/t-VDrO4CcNQ/w-d-xo.html
