Hi. I'm your new subscriber here. I've always wanted to work outside my country since I was a kid. Currently, I'm working on becoming a cloud engineer. Do you think it's possible to get a tech job in Thailand? I don't have any previous work experiences. I need your opinion.
Of course it possible 😊 you can do job search on LinkedIn and build a very cool portfolio 👍 best of lucks!!
@@Miguel_Watt Thank you so much☺
I love all of your videos, waiting for the new ones❤❤❤
Can you share how much is rent please? I'm looking to move as well.

How to get a tech job in Thailand?❤
I would suggest try LinkedIn 😊
Greetings from Türkiye! I am a computer engineering student in Türkiye and I am thinking of living in Thailand in the future(because I love sunny and warm weather). Your videos give me inspiration and motivation. Good luck with your new job! heheh :)
Thank you so much for your kind words ❤️
Mam do you earn 500k Thai baht per month as a software engineer in Thailand? Plz reply. Thanks a lot.

Mam do you earn 50k thai baht per month as a software engineer in Thailand? Plz reply. Thanks a lot.
I would say you can easily in 1-2 yrs exp
Nice apartment and good location, too! When I wroked in Honolulu, my apartment was across the street from a big grocery store, and walking distance to both Walmart and Ala Moana Shopping Center - very convenient. I rode my bicycle to work - which was a bit hazardous, due to traffic (not quite as bad as Bangkok, though). Your new office workplace reminds me of the offices & facilities for motion picture & television studio production in the Los Angeles area. Lots of perks for the employees & visitors, including free meals & snacks prepared by private chefs. Some pretty good parties, too. Ah, yes, my life as a software engineer was also so very hard... lol :) I hope that you enjoy both your new apartment & your new job! And, thanks yet again for sharing a peek into your life with us!
Wow thank you so much! your comment is really made my day. yes living near supermarket is so convenient as you said haha, and even myself keep using motorbike taxi but I would never recommend anyone. Its too dangerous in bkk!. thank you for sharing story in your life too. Its wider my eyes a lot 😃
Love the chill vibe and happy luxury :)

Haha always do
I'm from Myanmar I have 1 yr of Exp as FE. My tech stacks are.React, Typescript and Nextjs. I want to come and work at thailand after i get some exp may be after 2yrs with total 3yrs of work exp😁
Hope the vid can help you get the idea of how life is in Thailand and hope you enjoyed watching :)
Ooh...that wipe board is awesome. Wish I had one when I was a programmer. Now they call them software engineers. Now my job is an applications analyst. Way more meetings and I don't need a wipe board anymore. 😭😭 I used to use mirrors in my house as a wipe board. Used to drive my family crazy. When the idea hits...you have to write it down. 🤣
Oh that sounds like really nice idea, I shud start using them instead of post-it now. Thanks so much haha. and WOW applications analyst sounds very interesting.
@@Miguel_Watt Actually, I miss writing code. I do lots of meetings talking about how we should integrate applications into meaningful use in the company. I work for the research department of a medical company that owns many hospitals and clinics all up and down the west coast of US. We spend a lot of time meeting vendors and work on agendas for the company. I really miss coding. Give me a project...please. HA HA
@@ragebyte Wow, thank you for sharing. I never knew about this job before. Now, I've been coding all day, barely speaking to ppl. Starting to miss human conversation now haha.
@@Miguel_Watt Yes. That's why I thought a job change would be good. It is, I do like the discussions and passing the job to the people who do the work. But I miss the ability to just sit and focus on one thing. Besides my cat. HA HA
Minimalist apartment Miguel. I was surprised to see there is not much crowd in neighborhood.
Thank you for watching:) and YES! So far I love this neighborhood a lot 😇
Hi Miguel, i love your name, im Maria Jose, so i also have what is considered a man´s name :D. Loved your vlog, the duration its perfect. this is my first time seeing one of your vlogs but i think your channel its going to keep growing cuz you are so fresh and your comments are really funny, the only different thing to me was your selection of music lol sometimes it felt so many styles in a short amount of time, but i mean its just a matter of preferences, i will be watching more of your of vlogs since you tube its my trait for unwinding :D
Oh, that's a very useful comment. Thank you for your sincere feedback 😊, and also thank you so much for watching!
nice video. is that near MBK Mall on 5:57 ? i ever stay accross there. a lot of street food under bts station
It's Asoke intersection :) but it did look similar to MBK area 😄
@@Miguel_Watt ic.. my mistake. thank you
Siuuuuuu videos más largos, es genial, saludos desde México 🇲🇽
I’ve been looking forward to your new video for a while now. Love that it’s a longer vlog, keep it up! I only missed your storytelling voice, hehe. Hope you’re enjoying your new work and apartment!❤
Ahh will soon try talking to camera💕 and thank you so much for watching ❤️❤️
tbh... Scrum ceremonies are useless. Specially dailies and retros. What a waste of time. Any moron can read a Jira board and know who is working with what. And retros... omg... No one remembers anything from the previous one and no action is ever taken really. W a s t e of precious time.
Understood the pain 😅
I like the longer vlog, keep doing it❤
Thank you ❤️
Looks like a nice neighbourhood. Is it in Bangkok or outside the city?
It's super in Bangkok this time 😊

I want to ask if a foreigner is good at thai(learned for 3yrs) is there higher chance of me getting in IT companies
Sure u will, there also so many software house companies that international that welcome expat swe.
Assistindo do Brasil 👍🟢🟡
Those old train lines have incredibly noisy trains late at night. I couldn't sleep when I stayed close to them
It's funny, but it's the matter of agile work, nobody knows what you do so always keep asking these three questions.
*Promo SM* ❤️
I hope you will enjoy your new job & new home! Good luck! Bangkok is a very large city. In your opinion, which suburbs or neighborhoods are best for a quiet, peaceful life?
Hmm this a bit tough question, I dont see bkk as a quite & peaceful area tbh 😅
lol... true enough. Mabye I should have asked for "slightly less noisy & marginally less chaotic"? 555 I know that it gets a bit better, as you move futher away from city center, without moving all the way to Isan. Are there any districts or subdistricts which you think are more attractive, but still within a reasonable distance to the BTS or MRT?
555? Wow u know how to laugh like thai ppl 😄 maybe try bts dark green line. It's less crowded than light green line also near by the river and close to many beautiful attractions.
Yes, I found out about 555 recently, while I was learning how to count numbers in Thai. Very funny! I am trying to learn some basic Thai, for my next visit to Bangkok, after I retire, in about 2-5 years. Learning a new language is also good for the brain, for older people like me. :) I will keep your suggestion in my future travel plan - thank you! I had planned to spend a couple of days riding around on the various BTS and MRT lines, as well as on the river buses, to find good neighborhoods, with convenient access to public transport. Note: No taxis or cars for me; I really, really did not like getting stuck in Bangkok street traffic! And, motorbikes are just too dangerous, imo.
Probably Ari.
Hey thanks for the video. Would you mind how much is your current home? I really love your home. It doesn't look a like it's condo. I will be in Bankok in 30 days... Looking for condo or home like yours.
Its a house but its not in bangkok, its the province near by rent was ~$800 😊
I am fourth viewer and first commenter 😊 Your current home is really nice, anyway congratulations on your new job 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Hope you will find the nice house in area you wish .. best luck.
Thank you so much! You're so nice as always 💕
New subscriber here,I really enjoyed watching your videos. Keep vlogging💗
Thanks for subbing 💗
I was watching day in a life a lot from other country , Just found the Thai one, I really enjoy watching 😊 เป็น SWE เหมือนกันคร้าบบ 😅😅
Khob khun ka 🙇♀️
SWE work is really hectic, I can imagine. This video shows a lot of the real life of SWE. Enjoy your vlog. Cheers. Take a good break on the weekends to rejuvenate yourself...
Thanks, you too! 😊
I visited your TH-cam channel and I saw, that your content is so good. But there are lots of workspaces, which means need to update your video optimization. Like SEO-friendly video title selection, writing an attractive SEO-related description, and researching high-rank targeted keywords according to your niche to rank your video.
Now I am to date with your videos 👏👏 🙂 Looking for the next one. As always, very relaxing and nice to watch. I am curious about one thing...I have seen in other Bangkok videos as well that "thing" in the shower your turn on before having a shower. What is it?? Defintely not here in Spain.
It's a "water heater", No matter how hot the weather is here, Thai ppl still love this 'thing' 😅
@@Miguel_Watt Aaahh! That makes sense, thanks 😄 We use to have it in the kitchen
What tech stack do you use for for work daily code ?
Next/Nest/React Native 😊
amazing.
Glad you like the vid 🙇♀️
Really cool video! Good to see SWE content from other countries
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Love to see those hidden areas and how you navigate them. Your videos are peaceful and relaxing. Great way to end my work day! ☺
Thank you :)
Wow, even one of my friend who work in Apple doesn’t own such a big house in USA
I would definitely move to Bangkok if I can have a house like that. P.S I am a software engineer.
I was really waiting for your video … it’s been so long .. please upload frequently … Can you please try to film a week in your life .. also one suggestion please do not keep laptop on your lap heat it produces is not good for health, it causes serious issues regarding fertility in women. It happened to one of my relative so just giving a suggestion , please do not mind.
Oh, I never knew about it. I will be more careful in the future for sure. Thank you so much; you have always been so nice to me :). I will make sure to film a week in my life 💕
Your channel is the first one I came across from Thailand while watching a day in the life of software. It was nice. hoping to see more videos in the future.
Thank you so much :)
I have seen so far a couple of your videos. Keep it up!! Just came back from BKK trip. Love the country and its people.
Im glad you like Thailand and thank you so much for watching :)
can u help me to become a software developer?
Hi :) Sorry, I don't think I can be your person, but I find bootcamps really work for me. Maybe you can consider them. Whatever you want to achieve, you surely can do it :)
@@Miguel_Watt yaa please tell me?
@@Miguel_Watt ya please tell me ?
@@Miguel_Watt but i also need reference, so please help me if u can?
Your house is very nice! I’ve never seen such a house before. Looks like a combination of a loft and a townhouse or a loft and a detached house. May I know what is the name of this type of house? Saw in another video that rent is $850/month. It is in USD, right? Could I know how large (floor size) the house is too? (I’m from Singapore where most stay in high-rise apartment buildings. Been to Thailand thrice and loved it. I’m exploring the option of working in Bangkok in the future.)
Its call "duplex" here, you will find it a lot in thailand especially for condo. Thank you so much for watching :)
It’s pretty cool to see your lifestyle. I’m 21 years old and literally fell in love with Bangkok Thailand last month. I’m actually visiting in May which is crazy and I already know I’m gonna fall in love with the place, but my ticket out of the US is to go over there on a work visa, my steps on doing that is to graduate school first which I start this year ( major computer science )……. I know it’s going to be a grind but it’s definitely possible plus the company I work with is Amazon I literally went to resources and searched up Thailand, and there it was. not to sound weird, but when I saw your video, I saw myself in a couple short years because I know I can live there lol so I was wondering have you ever heard anything at all about Amazon and how it’s like or just news in general. 😂
First of all, thank you sm for watching and commenting. I'm glad that you like Bangkok. If you have time to explore thailand more, please try the country-side either the valley area or the beach area; I promise you will love it even more:). Oh, I just found out that Amazon also has an office base in Bangkok?
