The host is great!

"Lighting should not be changed to make a material look right" = 100%!
There have always been "remote" field offices where it hard to be notices, yet some people pull it off
You guys suck 😊
Great segment! This information is so on target for worker productivity in today's world! Private work pods that could be scheduled would be amazing, especially for those of us who are introverts. It is very hard to focus sometimes in an open work environment because of the noise levels (that's what introverts call open collaboration). LOL! We speak so much about physical diversity, however, neurodiversity is just as important. Imagine the increase in productivity! Thanks so much!
Absolutely outstanding Rae'Van. 👏🏾 👏🏾👏🏾 Great interview from both designers. This was very informative & I learned a lot!❤❤❤
epic
Speaking as a practitioner - "human-centered design" and "design thinking" are used interchangeably in all but the most academic circles. Kate Canales is right, according to IDEO's definition. IDEO says HCD is a problem-solving method, and DT is an application of HCD to innovation. But the difference is so semantic I don't think it's useful. Most of the young people and entrepreneurs I work with haven't heard of either, and all the jargon just gets in the way. The thing that sticks with them is that A) everything is designed, whether you had a say in it or not, and B) that you can design and un-design the world around you to make it better.
thank you for the explanation, it s more clear than the video
not really, in this case, human-center design is the square, design thinking is the rectangle. It could be iterated much more easily with the idea of subset.
Fun episode!
Great episode! Nice job Caroline!
She used to be my principal at Quail run Elementary
It's like an arranged marriage - solid analogy Harper! Really appreciate this conversation 👍🏽
I loved this behind the scene / blooper reel episode! I look forward to what this year will bring!
This is a great video introducing Corgan! I was inspired! (Cheryl Bates)
Thanks Cheryl!!
Enjoyed the conversation! Thanks for bringing it to us.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great conversation! Our workplaces will continue to evolve as we evolve with the human experience. The way we use "fluid" workspaces is not a new concept, but one that we can use as a foundation to address changes in the human condition. It was great to hear that the use of quantitative and qualitative data is at the forefront of human centered design at Corgan. Very interesting!
Well !! I am here because i started a research for logo designs on architectural companies and it led me here..And i liked to listen to them in a wierd way.. GL Corgan VP Emily
Great chat! Awesome work by Jason! Bravo!
Glad you enjoyed it!
It is an insightful idea that 'heat control' would be a key element for unique solution of future data center design. Maybe we can go underwater to cool down the servers efficiently without generating any additional power/heat for cooling systems?
news.microsoft.com/features/under-the-sea-microsoft-tests-a-datacenter-thats-quick-to-deploy-could-provide-internet-connectivity-for-years/
Believe it or not, you’re not far off! LADC looked into underwater cooling as part of our Data Center in Space initiative. And as Femi noted already, Microsoft has be exploring this topic in-depth (no pun intended) since 2018 with their deployment of a 40-foot long underwater data center of the coast of Scotland. It was designed to be maintenance free for up to five years. Another data center company, Nautilus Data Technologies, has been developing a data center on a barge that utilizes sea water to cool their servers. They claim to be up to 80% more energy efficient with 30% lower operating costs.
I truly appreciate that Corgan creatively supports young talents during this precarious time and entire industry in a long term period. Great job and thank you so much!
Thank you!
I was so impressed with both subjects ,but Nino came shining through , I wish I knew him ,he seems so interesting and super smart! .
We were lucky to have them both onboard this summer!
I loved the episode. What a duo of wonderful interns. I am happy they enjoyed their time at Corgan as much as we enjoyed having them. Another great episode.
Agreed! They (and all the great interns we had this summer) were such a treat and demonstrated great professionalism and talent!
Looking forward to seeing more videos!!! I think that you deserve way more views. Do you know about smzeus . c o m!? I think it would really help you grow your channel!
Thank you!
Great interview, Grabriel and Justin!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I've listened to this episode twice and was so excited to see two of my favorite Corganites and the passion and purpose of how their work effects how employees experience their workplace is such an imperative aspect of getting the best from people, especially in this new normal that we're living in. By the way, I agree with Eric in that we need a "coffee shop" at Corgan! Great idea...LOL
Yes! Their passion really does come through in this episode, doesn't it?! So glad you enjoyed it!
So good to see Red Raiders doing great things!
We have quite a few great Red Raiders here!
Thank you Femi for sharing your story and transparency about failure. It is my belief and and experience that the failures we encounter build the resilience and confidence for us to keep pressing forward.
So true!
Thanks, Femi for sharing your life and experiences as an architect and what led you to architecture. I can't wait to see your photography! Great interview!
So glad you enjoyed it!
Yay, Carina!!! Great episode!!
Thank you!
Loved the interview and Corgan’s commitment to future architects and interior designers! Agility lives at Corgan!
Absolutely! Week one is almost complete and it's going great! #CorganMakesItWork
great video and good info! My internship at Corgan was awesome
Thank you Alex! So glad to hear you had such a good experience and are still part of the team!
Bravo dear Unmesh Kelkar, It's really very new & original concept on urbanisation architect.. Looking forward to see the responses from the cities mentioned by you ,also would like to see same sort of concepts to our Mumbai city from you in coming days in future.. All the best for your new avenue.. Excellent job.. 💐💐🌹🌹👍👍
Thanks a lot for your kind words! Mumbai is definitely one of the cities I would love to study through this lens.
Couldn't agree more! We're looking forward to learning more from Unmesh as well.
Great chat!
Thanks! We're looking forward to welcoming the 2020 class next week!
Policy perception methodology is very interesting and thought provoking. Looking forward to your research.
Thank you!!
We can't wait either!
Enjoyed the information and variety of thoughts and perspectives. COVID-19 has been a catalyst for shaking us up and driving us to idéate, adapt and change quickly. While I hate these times, I believe much good will come from it. It is time to shake things up. Thanks to the panel ~ Cheryl
Appreciate your perspective and agree - let's take these lemons and make lemonade!
Appreciate the diversity of topics that you all have been presenting and showcasing a well-rounded perspective relative to the fundamental needs of employees aka the WHOLE HUMAN ;) I enjoy tuning in each week and expanding my knowledge base. I always walk away with new learnings. Keep up the good work!
Much appreciated!
Enjoyed the topic. It's timely to be speaking about trust and how the workplace either negates trust or helps to build it. So much of how we acclimate into a job's culture is physical - furniture, breakrooms, etc. I'm amazed at how subtle the messaging is conveyed that builds culture.
Absolutely! Check out our blog post on the subject for additional content - www.corgan.com/story/psychology-of-trust-how-can-we-feel-confident-returning-to-the-workplace Thanks for listening/viewing!
Great topic!
Thank you! Check out our blog on the topic as well - www.corgan.com/story/psychology-of-trust-how-can-we-feel-confident-returning-to-the-workplace

Thanks!
Really enjoyed this one!
Glad you enjoyed it! We had a great time making it!

The Quantum Data Center reminds me of the Hulu show Devs
Love it!
I really like the 2 examples Scott mentioned. Disney (they are so great with UX, keeping the sucky part of ticketing far away from the actual parks) and Amazon stores for airport retail. Looks like airports will make travelers more self-sufficient (tsa-pre, self-check-in, contactless interaction), I hope this efficiency could mean that we don't have to show up 2-hours before take-off.
Let's hope so!
