"The one who knocks" scene feels way too self serious for GTA. The world of Grand Theft Auto is a satire of American criminal life, That's why the nail salon scene fits perfectly. Sure there are dark and dramatic moments in GTA but they're not written like a television drama.

I just now realized despite multiple watchthroughs that when Mike is paying back the $120K that Jesse fronted and divvying it up from the stacks, he takes $40k from Jesse's profits to pay Jesse back with along with the $40K from his and Walter's. It should have been $60K from Mike and $60K from Walter!

That Steven Ogg appearance was definitely poking a little fun at GTA. He's carrying an arsenal on his person and he gets humiliated by a professional. It's like they're saying "this is closer to how criminals operate in reality none of that high speed chase gun fighting action movie stuff. In reality being a criminal is less bravado, more brains, less violence more talking and projecting an image of power."
