im so sad i miss youyr concert at woodstock en beauce ,,you are on my favorite list since the beginning
Love this Band. Greatest live band ever
so true
It's interesting how Michael Sadler has aged on the outside but his voice hasn't.
YES, that is totally true......his voice is still like in the good old 80ies. He has aged, but looks really fit and good.
@@mrsayang I sometimes get distracted by videos from bands I'm not always up on and the artists appear really young, only to discover later that the video and the performers are older than I am. That doesn't really apply to Michael Sadler and Saga, though he looks much older than I would have guessed. That voice though? Timeless.
@@screenPhiles I love SAGA, saw them Live twice. Michael is really amazing.
Jetzt in limburg !! Ausdrucksstark in der Musik allein ihr Logo !! 👌🧝♂️
Ja danke...SAGA ist immer genial!
Mit eines der tollen Songs 💫🧝♀️
Mein ganz persönlicher Lieblingssong
Wow,hasn’t lost anything 😊
Always wonderful....😍
What is the model of the lead guitarist red guitar. I really like it.
good question....I only know that he used a DIEZEL Tube Head at that night, this red Stratocaster which he used, no idea. The other guitar he used that night was a silver grey guitar from "Music Man" California.
Steve Negus is Sadly missed it's not the same without him he was the backbone.
Yes, so true. I miss him too.
@@mrsayang 👍
Michael, Ian, Steve... Power band!!
Yes, with real great power
SAGA ROCKS!
Yes always. I saw them Live again 4 weeks ago on their 2023 tour and they are still amazing after 46 years. Especially the voice of Sadler is still great.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
SAGA RULES. Thanx for posting
yes they really rule. Thanks
Ian seems to have a new guitar no ?
Maybe!? I have never seen this guitar before, but recently it seems to be his favorite guitar. Even I don't know which model/manufacturer it is.
I follow Saga since the 80 when they released the album worlds apart. Amazing group. I saw Saga 5 times live since this time. And it was always grrrrrreat. Like its mentioned here several times, great voice from Michael Sadler and great guitar performance from Ian Chrichton 👏👍
Hello dear friend. Yes, U totally agree

I'm happy to see SAGA's brave figure again.
The best band in the world for me!!!!!!
yes, so true
Rock `n´Roll Hall of Fame Kandidat
Im "In Transit" again.......
They said that there’ll be no more concerts, as I remember, glad to see them live, amazing band!
Really, they stopped their career now? So sad to hear. They are still amazing
@@mrsayang no I heard it about 2-3 years go, so I was amazed to see them doing live show in 2022:)
@@АлександрМихайлов-ф9ж ah ok, I hope they will not stop anytime soon.
They are playing in August at Maple Ridge Rock Fest in British Columbia. Always wanted to see them, looks like I get my chance. 🤓
A master piece of eighties ....
Yes correct
Is So.................
What a beautiful guitar solo. Perfect.
Michael Sadlers voice sounds almost as good as it did 40 years ago. Amazing!
yes absolutely and that is not often. I love the passion of SAGA for what they are doing....still great after 45 years.
Sting could not say that..
I think his voice became better with the age, more confident snd strong!
I would love to see them in concert with Jethro Tull, that would be an awesome pairing!
Why does the person running the lights always think the drummer needs a strobe effect over the top of his solo? Every. Stinking. Time. Drives me crazy.
correct, that strobe is annoying
Guitar player needs more love and recognition !
yes Ian would need that. Even I am a drummer I watched Ian the most at that night, he is a cool guy.
I saw this band in th 1970s in my Southern Ontario hometown and I thought the same thing but that frontman is very domineering and charismatic
@@guytitanic Michael Sandler is great, always was and it is amazing how great he still sings in his age. For my opinion the best singer of the 70ies era still performing like in the old days.
@@mrsayang Sadler.
A beard noooooo you look old
well they are kind of. But great too!!
Why in The world does saga hang in Europe so much? The pandemic? After 40 plus years they show me they don't care about the USA. Shame on them.
SAGA had it's most success in Germany and in Puerto Rico, not in the USA (despite if you consider Puerto Rico as USA). Sandler speaks very well German during their show. But yes, they should also tour more in North America for sure.
TOP !!!
Heard this first live in 1981. No quality loss at all. Still amazing!
yes, totally true.
These fans are 🔥
in Germany SAGA has it´s real fan base. Their most success was in Germany and Puerto Rico.
Michael still has an amazing voice, really impressive. Ian and Jim are top notch players and Mike Thorne is the best option for a drummer to make justice to Steve Negus. One of the best bands of all time
yes, they are not young anymore, but still great and perform with skill and passion.
A new red guitar for Ian ?
maybe, I don't know his guitar collection.
Looks like his old zon strat with new emgs..
Who is playing the bass? what happened to Jim
he is a young guy, named Dusty Chesterfield.
Thanks but, where's Jim?
@@rennyarrietarivas5428 He had some litle health issues and retired from touring, but is still around. Like David Paich@Toto... no need to worry.
@@stefanossenkop4334 Thanks!
Ian is possibly the most underrated guitarist in the world. Glad I discovered Saga young. He was a huge influence on me as a guitarist.
yes, he is great and the others are too.
No doubt, such a talented guitarist. Overlooked and underrated. I would put him up there with the "greats".
Agreed! I was privy to watch the entire "Silent Knight" tour while standing 8 feet away from Ian at the Commadore Ballroom in Vancouver, one of my fondest musical memories.!
Me too! This band is the most underrated progressive band in Canada

Who is the drummer?🧐
His name is Mike Thorn. He is great
@@mrsayang Since Master Steve Negus retired, the best man behind the kit. Authentic drumming!
@@stefanossenkop4334 absolutely, I wish I could play drums like him, his drum solo was amazing.
"Which music inspired you to become a musician? What kind of music/bands did you hear in your younger age? MT - RUSH was the trigger, but I have an older sister who liked Queen, The Police and Max Webster, so I was no stranger to interesting music. Which Musicians inspired you as a drummer? Lots of other drummers say Neil Peart was a huge influence on them. MT - Of course, Neil Peart was my first huge inspiration. I felt he was building his riffs during the course of any given song, so that I could understand them better. He was the king of cleverness and I wanted to play with that fierce crispness and un-quantized humanity more than anything. And of course I was blown away by Bruford, White, Weckl, Trilok, Buddy, and any other drummer who played stuff I had to figure out."
yeah, great. Neil was THE MASTERMIND of drumming. He was a very smart guy and a musician who always tried provide the best performance. I do really miss him.
cool!
yeah that was very cool. The beginning was a bit like "stolen" from the drum solo of Neil Peart, which I have seen in 2004 live in Frankfurt during the R30 tour. I wish I could play drums like this.
@@mrsayang Yes, i noticed the Peart thing. Even better if he got ispired by. Well executed and fun to watch, and not so long. Perfect. Thanks for the videos, Mr.
@@brunosamppa yes, you are correct Neil did inspire a lot of drummers. Thanks for watching.
i want too! :D
