hello sir, first plow the field in the fall, than disc the field in the spring , and than cultivate before the weeds take off. Than there will be no plug ups and piles of clumps. was just a tip from a ford ferguson tractor farmer.

Been to Freehold, Atlantic City Boardwalk, Asbury but next time l visit NJ l will go to the Meadowlands area. Thanks for the tour. Have a blessed year.

I wasn't going to say anything until you stuck a leg through to kick the drawbar (7:34)! Look again at how close your leg was to the PTO adapter, and spinning bolt, and consider how lucky you were to not get yourself tied up in a battle with it! We had an 8N. and I hated that tractor/PTO-driven 3point pump especially when drilling post holes. If that's all you have just keep your eyes on that shaft and imaging it being able to reach out and grab you because when you aren't watching, it will! Also, if not planning on it, oil the moldboards on that plow or at least cover it up with the blue tarp. Please be careful!

The fact you're working around a spinning pto freaks me out. Doesn't it disengage. I've known people who were maimed because they were careless and got clothes tangles in spinning ptos.

Was this your first time using the moldbord plow? They take a bit of getting used to.

I don't know, I would hardly call that plowing. I did alot of plowing with one of those little work horses and we went a lot deeper then that. But to each their own. Why all the dry runs backing up? You could be plowing the other direction too. I know when you come together with your rows there is a gap because they are tossed different directions but that is easily filled and smoothed with the disk and harrow process or whatever means you have to final smooth it out..

Had to put 9N in shop to charge the gear on flywheel and left brake is frozen up. Guess I need to run it more. Thanks for the video.

nice to see another 9N still in use. BUT - watch that spinning pto! I have a "safety shirt" one sleeve got caught in a spinning pto. I know that the pto is integral to the lift arm mechanism but it presents a real hazard. I thank God that the cloth of my shirt was old & rotten. Tore 1/2 the sleeve off. Now I shut the tractor completely off before working near that pto. ps. is it still 6v or did you convert to 12v?

You would never know that is in such an urban area. The smell you mentioned at the beginning of the video isn't pollution, it's caused by all the decaying leaves in the water. The river is so low that the water is starting to become stagnant. I live on a tributary of the Ramapo in Rockland and that stream has been dry for over 3 weeks.

Mine didn’t come with the wire connections and a pigtail from the switch to the plug. Mine had a plug that goes directly into the back of my switch. I like that older design better if that’s how it came from the factory.

You are supposed to extend the stabilizer arms down far enough to raise your rear tires. You form a triangle, bucket and two pads, most stable platform.

My Ford 2N was continually starved for a supply of gasoline from the tank. Once I cured that. It ran much better. Nice to see olde equipment running and useful.
