Looks like a little maintenance and some grease that would be amazing.

Had a 2n for years always use an overrunning clutch on a live PTO or you won't be able to turn the tractor momentum from the bush hog will push the tractor through a board fence. This was advice to me from a 102 yr.old farmer from Virginia.

I had one in crates and never did get it put together. I sold it as is .

Why bother complaining about 3rd gear, Larry it's meant to be fast & used as road gear anyway.Still think it's a handy machine.

I stumbled across Smallville today. It was a hoot. I missed the parts on the opposite side of the trail, so I’ll have to go back.

If you're using any kind of digging implement, like that spud plow, make sure you have your draft control lever on, your top link in the highest notch where it connects to the tractor, and let your top link out a little bit to drop it deeper. You'll be surprised how consistent you can get the depth of those rows when you really get good with these things.

Those old time farmers knew a thing or two about a thing or two and Ford/Ferguson knew how to deliver what they needed. Reliability, nothing fancy...just gets the job done. That's the beauty of those old Fords and Fergusons.

2n i think my 9n has i beams almost the same tractor. 2n was designated in 1942 so ford could raise price cause wartime price freeze 9n could nota go up in price and it was too low of price.

We used to pick those at my grandfather's farm, and my great aunt spent time canning them some she picked. Nothing like opening a can of peaches in the winter and having them with a hot biscuit. Grandpa said you couldn't get much closer to heaven.
