Both builds are so beautiful and skilfully made, but who wouldn’t want to live in UnicornDreams’ house?? ❤
Any tips for lighter terrain elevations or (the opposite) such as light hills, or dips, or ponds?
These are both really cool builds! So unique and interesting, and filled with such good detail!
Unicorndreams here! 🦄 Thank you so much for touring my build. I didn't get to finish the outside, but I am very happy with my building! It took hours of my life 😂 The bathroom I am very proud of and took me hours! And you missed it lol 🤣 No worries, I hope people are able to have a wonder around themselves and see my bathroom 😁 Description: Welcome to Oh Deer Lodge! Where you can spend time in the rustic charm of the newly renovated old stone cabin. Enjoy cosy vibes and see if you can spot the local Deer family that has graced the land around the property for many generations. Make your way to the new adjoining building with two bedrooms, cute kitchen, relaxing bathroom and beauitful views. You may be lucky to see the resident cat couple and their kittens. (Please see more information about the cats before booking. Thank you) We hope you enjoy your stay! Please note that the outside and the exterior walls of the large building are not fully finished. It is complete. However, still some small details missing that I did not have time to add. Thank you so much for visiting, and I hope you enjoy your stay at Oh Dear Lodge 😊 Workshop items used: Elephant Hoover by: Jon Eros Cooker and coffee machine by: Schneeeule kitchen cupard doors and fridge by rajirrah.
The way I gasped when you walked into the new addition of the house! I love that UnicornDreams turned the old brick house into a cozy den / sun room and then just wowed us with this modern house. So many beautiful details! Jean's planting is beautiful as always, especially with the added mist and falling leaves! What an awesome interpretation, the stone and beamwork on the inside of the rehabilitation centre is gorgeous. Also had a VERY good laugh @7:38 😂 I can't choose a best build, but I know the best host is you! :D
You should name your otters sweet and sour and their backstory can be they were found injured as babies, brought to a rescue centre, and then your Zoo!
I really like the name theme! And the story is perfect, I’ll be working this into Sakura Zoo for sure! Thanks for sharing 😀
I just found your channel and subscribed - I love this build! I used to work with otters and I love your realism. The training tank and waterfall are 👌
Thank you! As someone who has worked with otters I’m happy that you felt it looked realistic! Means a lot to hear that from you 😀
What Blob said, this might just be your best one yet! It would be so much fun to watch the playful otters rund up and down those stairs and through the waterfall <3
Thank you! I've definitely caught myself just watching them go up and down, I like to think its their favorite thing to do!
I love that you were able to get the otters to walk down the waterfall! As, for the back staging, it looks so good! If you really wanted to section off that backstage area that is inside the otter's habitat, you could just plop down the premade mesh fences going from the keeper door and cutting it off right at the side of the otter's backstage entrance that way they technically couldn't have access, but it looks amazing either way!
Ohhh that is a good idea! I could just move the entire barrier! Easy fix for something I might have been looking to far into lol
@@guntersgaming Yea, it shouldn't be too complex for you to adjust it and tbh, I don't know that you'd even have to adjust the barrier if you used the mesh construction pieces that have the metal poles on either end!
The fact that the otters can come down through the waterfall IS such a happy accident!! Your backstage areas are getting more and more amazing too :)
Thank you!!!!
eres demasiado bueno, eres un crack
The terrain work, foliage, sunken in door for the backstage, sliding glass door on the wading pool.. I think this might be your best habitat to date!
Thank you! And honestly, thank you so much for helping with the backstage ideas! Team work!
@guntersgaming Teamwork makes the dream work 🙌
This deserves more views my man! that is epic!
Thank you so much! Means a lot to hear that!
Saw this on reddit and ran to yt
Ah thank you! Glad you liked it!
Really love this grand open style of entrance! Really want to tackle one of these of my own when I get into the game next!
Ah thank you so much! You have a new zoo coming so I'm looking forward to seeing some entrance action!
The animal updates between build elements are so good! You've got me wanting to build for the binturong 🥺 The entrance looks fantastic, the pinks really make it pop!
I must see your binturong build! The pink really worked out so well!
The entrance looks awesome I like the idea of the grandfather trees being kept for some splash of color with the pink. As for suggestions I think a cafe over looking a pond for some red crown cranes would look really neat as like a center piece of the zoo
I've always wanted to build a cafe over a pond! Lets see if I can make it happen this time 😂
I love this! I still can't get over the little water stain detail, it's so simple but adds so much to the build! The circles also turned out really nicely! ;)
Thank you for the idea!!!! It worked out sooooooo well ❤️ Honestly, it’s those little 5 minute details that no one sees that makes things pop haha
@ I’m glad I could help!! Yea the simple details are always the best!
Love this. I always really struggle with entrances, but this looks great :)
Thanks! Honestly I struggle a lot as well, shocked how well this turned out 😀
@@guntersgaming it worked really well, and actually, seeing you use the conservation pieces to make the wavey roof, has given me several ideas :)
Well in that case, happy I could help!
First ;)
Those brick walls look so cool! I'm pretty new to the game, and hope you can help me out with a question, even though your video is not about the subject... (I have tried to find the answer online but haven't found it yet) ok so here it comes: I have build a petting zoo, where people are allowed into the habitats, and at some of the places I put the hygienic station so the visitors are allowed to roam though the whole habitat... but I would actually like to set a barrier, to give the animals some kind of place to go where the visitors can't come, but if I do something that blocks the visitors, this turns out to also block the zookeepers (like placing rocks or small fances or a treelog). I also tried making a corner of the habitat seperated by water and made a bridge from staffpath, but the visitors also just walk over it. I hope you understand my struggle and really hope you know an solution Thanks in advance 😁
Hey! Welcome to PZ! I think you've run into some of the limitations that exist in Planet Zoo. In this case I would create that separate section using fence pieces and what not that allow the animal to roam over but not the guests. Zoo keepers don't need to go everywhere either so as long as all your impactful enrichment items are in an accessible area you should be ok. TLDR; place everything in the accessible staff and guest areas, and everything in the animal only areas should be items that don't require support, like a scratch post, den or hard cover etc. I hope that makes sense and helps!
@@guntersgaming thank you very much for your reply. Your answer makes sense, the only problem would be the staff then cannot clean up and catch the animals right?
You should be good still! As long as they can access a part of the habitat they should be able to do everything no problem!
This awesome video
Thank you so much!
There are a few pangolin species that are mostly arboreal but the Chinese pangolin is fossorial. Checked the AZA manual for my build. Amazing build, just subbed to your channel!
Thank you so much! Appreciate you sharing as well, I tried to add in a hallow log with the burrow to kinda hide it away, a fun way to do it and I’m excited to see how I can build on it and learn even more 😀 Thanks for joining me in this journey!
Rescued from an exotic food market in Southeast Asia maybe? Twig and Branch are cute names.
Twig and Branch are amazing names! ❤️
This habitat is awesome! I think it would be cool if the story behind them coming to Sakura Zoo was that they were going to be smuggled into Japan for traditional medicine (you could talk about why they're endangered), confiscated by border control, and then rehomed at Sakura Zoo to educate guests about this amazing species :)
Thank you so much! And what a fantastic idea! I feel like this is quite realistic as it links back to one of the main reasons they are sadly endangered
@@guntersgaming You're most welcome, and glad you like it!
Decided to catch up on this series after missing quite a few episodes, and wow! The rockwork, backstages, Sun shades, and foilage have gotten really good! I’ll just have to check out Sakura Zoo now :) Too bad the Spectacled Bear won’t end up in this zoo :(
Thank you! And don’t count it out that perhaps I’ll have a bonus build and work it in 😀
Not sure if you did something different with this video, but I found it very engaging and easy to follow (more so than the Pallas cat video). It moved along nicely and I liked how we got to meet the cats as a short "break" between build topics. The backstage area work was definitely my favourite!
Thank you! Definitely more intended today as opposed to other videos. The back stage is by far my favourite attempt yet, really filled up the space to make it look more lived in.
This looks so good! I love what you did with the circles! I am glad you have gone and removed a couple off camera tho! I love what you did with the water pipe! I will be using that idea from now on! I can never figure out how to hide it while making it look good!
Happy I can share an idea! It’s a fun way to hide and give it a bit of a more man made look!
I actually think the pangolins were the first animal I built for in PZ 🤔 The pangolins, peacocks and the red pandas - then I abandoned that zoo before I finished building for the lynx, because I hated how it all looked 😂 This is all so good though Gunter! And I love the little burrow hidden in the hollow log, such a good idea!
Thanks! I’m happy with the hidden burrow, I like the idea that the pangolins shelter in an old log as opposed to the burrow 😀
I love the circles on the wall but it looks a bit too cluttered, maybe only put one of two instead.
Thanks for the feedback! Originally I had quite a few more and also felt it was a bit much 😂 I’ll make some slight modifications to reduce the clutter! Appreciate you sharing!
I’ve been debating using the free build mod. Can you confirm it’s pretty safe to use? I know a lot of creators use it so I assume it’s low-risk.
I've had no issues, I think I use an older version that's a bit more stable though! But honestly low risk
You'd think these videos would inspire us PZers... Honestly it makes us feel like we really suck at this game and we're not playing it right lol... me and my square grid, snapped into place buildings... kidding.. kidding... of course I'm gonna keep spending 10 hours a day to reach this legendary level of creativity.
It means a lot for you to say legendary to me! Honestly, its been a wild road and I'm happy that it turned out so well. I still remember my first builds and holy how things have changed!
Side note, the patch notes of the new update mention that binturongs should hang from their tails more often now🙌
This makes me so happy! I loved seeing them hang and having that happen more often would be amazing! I honestly feel like it was a fluke being able to catch them
Your habitats are always so good! It really looks like a cat's ideal hangout space with all the climbing and the realism of the backstage area is perfect - the hack to get that slightly grungy floor is such a good tip! Pallas cats were the first animal from the new pack that went in my franchise and I think they'll be going in all my zoos in future so I'll definitely be borrowing some ideas from this. Or I'll "pinch with pride" as someone said on a recent training course - my motto for watching PZ videos I think. :D
Shoutout to @SimplyZoological for the amazing idea on the floor, its such a game changer ❤ I'm always love seeing cats in zoo's, and I agree, these guys will probably make an appearance in most of my zoos moving forward! Love that new motto, very on point for Planet Zoo I think 😄
This is such a fantastic example of what can be done with Planet Zoo and I love the whole build. It's great to see all the small details you add which come together to make the building look so much more realistic, the little brackets, wood pieces, custom fencing and that whole back stage area is just really inspiring. Especially for players like me as I've been playing for over a year and my builds definitely don't look anything like this, but you make it feel achievable, thank you for the inspiration.
Thank you so much, I'm happy that I could inspire you! And I hope to get to see what you build and put together! All the little things really do make it pop, its something I've struggled with a lot on my PZ builds 😄
This is a truly gorgeous habitat Gunter, a new fav for sure! And your backstage area continue to improve, I always pick up something new from watching you build them!
Thank you! Honestly, its me who picks up tons from your builds as well! ❤
love the aesthetic of this new zoo!! the baby binturong is so cute as well as the kitties :)
Thank you so much! Its really coming together 😄
YESSSSS, Pallas's Cat gang rise up! Amazing build Gunter, I wonder what is coming in that unseen habitat 👀 I'm not sure if it was an error of words, but you called the Pallas's Cat the world's smallest, which is a title held by the Rusty Spotted Cats! Pallas's Cats however are thought to be the world's OLDEST species of cat, wasn't sure if that was what you meant ☺
Totally my mistake! I should know better to come to you for all my Cat Details! and thank you as always! Took lots of inspiration from your builds 😄
I love how much thought you put into the habitat! But I especially love the backstage and the pink door! 😏
I wonder who helped me with that pink door 😋
@@guntersgaming hmmmm… let me think 😂
I have a feeling this is going to be another awesome series! Kudos for making it into a franchise zoo too!
Thank you so much 😄
Climbing structures are super hard to get looking good, but I love how yours turned out! Simple, but very effective, I love how it keeps that back area of the habitat raised compared to the front, matching those faux rock structures, it works really well!! Definitely a great habitat for these stubby little grumpy cats! And thank you so much for choosing my name suggestions for the Binturong's, i'm so glad you liked them, and their little baby Toffee is adorable! I can't wait to see what comes next!
Thank you so much! The name suggestions where amazing and it looks like the community agrees! You can never go wrong with faux rocks 😄
MANUL! Fantastic habitat for these guys, I love the climbing and incorporation of ambush areas for them to display their natural behaviours. I may have misheard in the video but, while one of the smallest cats in the world, Pallas' cats aren't the smallest-that's the rusty-spotted cat, which weighs 1-2 kg 🥺 Also: omg, baby Toffee 😭 The perfect name for the offspring of Salt & Caramel.
Thank you! Took a bit to make sure they wouldn't escape on those spots lol! Also, I was wrong and I am happy to admit that! Thank you and I'll update on the next video, also why are they so adorable? How have I never heard of them before 😞
Garfield for the male and Lulu for the female
I love the names! Thank you so much!
What a masterpiece, gunt :)
Thank you so much!
The Binturong is one of my favorites!!! This is the first time I saw the Binturong use his tail !! I have the same building mods. Thanks for making me aware of the PZ plus mod.
No problem and it’s been the first time for me as well, waited a few extra hours to see if they would again but nothing lol, talk about perfect timing 😂
This build is insane, all the detail you used i love it
Thank you so much!
I like your sunshades !!
Thank you! I do love building sunshades 😀
Such a gorgeous habitat, I love that big rock hill, and how detailed all the backstage is! The upside-down flowers in the sacks to give a different texture is such a tiny detail but I love it, would never have thought of that! As for names, very silly but my brain immediately leapt to Salt and Caramel, because they're both things people commonly put on popcorn. Toffee, and/or Butter being bonus suggestions in that vein as well. Looking forwards to seeing more of Sakura Zoo, you've absolutely got a new subscriber in me! ^^
love the name suggestions
Thank you so much! I’m happy you liked everything so far. I just gotta say though, those name suggestions are so on point!!!!
