How to Plant Strawberries
มุมมอง 539 หลายเดือนก่อน
We planted out 4 varieties of strawberries in 2023 (Chandler, Sequoia, Sea Scape, and Sweat Charlie) and each variety grew out to produce some fruit. I'm more interested in how they over winter and which come out on top next year! We will definitely have more strawberry videos to come because they are one of our favorites! Any tips or input are much appreciated! Thank you! #farming #strawberry

Just picked up a jackery for my property! 🤙🤙 Did ya solid??
Ohhh ya it's well worth the investment! We use it everyday!
Nice rig.. couple quick bits of advice, keep the bucket about a foot off the ground, especially when it's full. Don't drive with the bucket higher than it has to be as it can cause the tractor to tip over... Thing #2 is NEVER EVER start that tractor if you're not sitting in the seat... I've seen people use their hand to depress the clutch and start it while standing next to it, then they let off the clutch and ran themselves over. Be safe and have fun!!
Hell yeah dude! I remember hand pumping that bad boy!
Small steps but things are coming together!
Too cute!!!
Hey! New subbie here and zone 6 gardener in Michigan. Do you have any other social media platforms where I can message you and ask questions regarding gardening? 😆
Yes! on Instagram we are @prokrops and should be able to find us on Facebook as well
Started Roman Chamomile inside back in March here in Zone 5b/6a and planted it out at the end of April, which is kind of early but since I read that it can handle a light frost, took my chances. I did have to cover it for a couple days at one point, but it's been doing great. It's my first time growing it so I'm excited to see the flowering! It's supposed to be a perennial here, as well as spread, so that would be nice in my garden situation. 😊
I'm hoping we have some perennialize here in zone 6 too!
Son - of - a ..... they clearly built that tractor around that one bolt. The designer of that was probably making a high pitched giggle as he designed that.
I was thinking the same thing as I was going through the process! I heard they aren't any better on new tractors either!
White line on the tachometer denotes proper RPM to get 540 RPM @ PTO btw. Just upgraded from 8n to 1020 so still getting used to these modern features too lol.
Basement greenhouse is amazing!
Thank you! Much appreciated! Getting better every year!
Alex, you showed lots of restraint and patience with that repair (I personally would have dropped the "f" bomb dozens of times)! You did a great job and I'm sure you saved yourself hundreds of dollars, as most of us would have just bought a remanufactured starter!
Thank you! You know I thought about buying a new one but I felt I needed to learn by taking it apart. I also wasn't sure this was the problem at first but once I pulled it apart I was pretty certain the starter was what was causing our problems. Thank you again for your input and time Mark! Much appreciated!
its looking great man! I gotta get up there and start helping! 🤠
Thank man! Always work waiting for you here buddy!
Amazing! Hope to see it someday!
Yeah! About time we got a new video!
looking good my dude!
Rev that tractor up to the proper rpm when using g that pto bud
I did take note of proper RPMs for using this pto when reading the manual and try to stay in that range at the right times. I am still learning how to run her without thinking so much as I wasnt born on one of these lol I appreciate the input!
My father in law’s family farm. I spent many enjoyable days out on that farm. It’s nice to see it getting the love and attention it deserves! Seeing the barns made me a little misty eyed. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! It is a pleasure! Been busy, I hope to post an update soon for this year!
Leave engine on with pto, geez bud, i can tell you never used a grease gun, only got 2 arms, save em
Gotta start somewhere! I appreciate the input Dale
Need to grease inside the shaft on the spline.
Good looking gate!
"You could put an eye out with that thing!"
Check out aquaponics as well!
Definitely! I plan on having some aquaponic systems eventually! Less input per calorie out from what I've read and heard. They help close that nutrient loop a lot of farms lack
Looks great!
Thanks man!

Cool!
Thank you! You'll have to come check it out sometime!
@@prokrops For sure!
