Please do a video on the rules for the go in 3 and 4 handed cribbage. So many people change the rules for 3 and 4 handed cribbage by not allowing a player to play all their cards under 31.

There’s a mathy TH-cam channel called numberphile, they did a shuffling effectiveness video on different kinds of shuffles. For the riffle shuffle you need to do it a few times 2-7 (can’t remember) to get a completely original deck. In order to get the same effectiveness in the overhand shuffle, you’d have to complete (guess how many) over hand shuffles… 10,000!

You've been playing since you were 5. You left a lot out of your explanation because it's like muscle memory to you and questions that a beginner would have do not occur to you. You did not explain how to add up the numbers nor how the players interact in adding the numbers per hand. Nothing. What??!! You need to go through a more thorough play by play as if you were teaching someone from another planet. This did not help me and I have to play cribbage with a 95 year old expert tomorrow.

Wondering why the HM text said a 1 in 12 chance of 16 or more when it should be a 1 in 13? It said in the hand, so cutting a J might give the opponent his heels to offset the net score, but that is not part of the hand, I would think. Perhaps because his heels would be automatic, the algorithm uses it in the calc? I guess if you are counting on a cut J for extra score and you are not the dealer, you should always remember to subtract heels from net score. (In this case, a double-double 3 card run would be worth it.)

Nice video. Why was Q,Q a better discard than 10,10? Chart appeared to indicate it was a better net score because of the crib. I guess for the crib viewed in isolation maybe there are a few more run discards likely...?

Sorry, but your video is no less confusing than the rest. In fact it may be worse.

So what are you describing at 5:06 onward about wide cards? Are these to keep for pegging? The first one is a magic 11 but the other sums to 20... Or are these all 4 to be kept to have several 11s, but not runs? Confused.

Can you please explain how a "special 16" works for pegging? Are there specific combos, how many cards, etc.? Favour 11s before 16s? Should these be considered as a last check or in parallel with 11s (e.g. if no 11s, look for 16s?) ...interested, and cannot find anywhere. Thx!

Can you help me understand why with A-2-3-8-9-9 you did not discard the 3-8 because you can make 11 if you held the 2-9? Or why not discard the A-9 so you have two 11s?

Is there a way for 4 or more people to play cribbage at the same time when playing face to face (i.e., not on cribbage pro scrimmage)? The answer is Yes with cribbage pro - scrimmage. I am trying to figure out the mechanics away from cribbage pro - a group of friends come over. My friends like Yahtzee because it lends itself to group playing. I prefer cribbage. My friends said they switch over if I could organize a group game. Maybe get rid of the discard pile - and just peg and score cards?

I like how you use the cards to count. I plan on counting with cards also.

Have you ever considered doing some interviews of cribbage personalities? Some of the well known icons of the game - or well established tournament players. It would be so insightful. I got into the game from Cribbage forum -- a loong time ago -- and as much as i love that site there has been little new content for years. Im so happy you make videos regularly. I like the puzzles idea also that someone suggested. Even book reviews. Lol - sorry. Getting carried away. Thanks for all you time and energy.

Could you create cribbage puzzles? Dan Barlow wrote two books of cribbage puzzles. Might as well make some money in addition to creating exciting cribbage content on TH-cam. I play cribbage at the senior center primarily for fellowship and keeping the brain sharp. A couple of cribbage puzzles (you have already done a lot of the work in making your videos) I believe would be marketable :).

Cribbage Pro has a hint option. You can check your discard against the statistical table supporting the hint.

Just sort of feels like a game someone kept making rules up while disrespecting and beating on someone until those were the 'rules'

So in the peg phase why didn’t you get points for a pair of aces when you laid down the ace of diamonds (12:28)?

On the cheat sheet: We have a question on your pegging four of a kind. You list four of a kind with 4 queen example. Wouldn't this be more than 31 and only work on 7 value or less cards? Thanks for your videos.

Know how to read your opponent; holding/playing of pairs, their throwaways, their speed of play & speed of discard, even how they hold the cards in their hands.
