How easy it it to swap out? Just happened to me too… and I’m not that mechanically inclined.
With all that power does it help to change back to stock sprocket to keep the wheel down?
Crazy how I found this right when it happened to me
Just a side note: This is a great example of what you might see from your valve stem when you don't have a rim lock. I would suggest all "Surronians" (Nice!) who are going to air down to install rim locks to better prevent the tire from spinning on the rim, taking the inner tube with it and shearing the stem. Thank you for the great test!
Anus
What could be the cause of my ultra bee cutting out and showing the check engine light mid wheelie?
maybe a malfunctioning crash sensor, do you have the stock controller?
Thanks for making this video.
@@ApexRR1 sure that'll be $18 million please lol
Who do you think you are? Ryan’s Toy Review? LOL 😊
Classic west camino trail. I rode a drz400 for 2 years in santa barbara. It took me almost that long to go from newbie to the end of Di$@& ?:&8’ak. Oh I miss the dual sport ing there. I just switched to electric and got an ultra bee. Miss those rides in SB though…
Nice, I started on a DRZ400 on West Camino also, trial by fire, lots of rocks, ruts and crazy hill climbs, and pretty tough spot to learn on, glad you got an ultra… I love mine! thanks for watching!
I have this error as well..a128 and a117. My question is why wasnt this showing before when the battery was over 90%!?
Regen automatically turns off over 90% because it's bad to regen a battery that high
If I upgrade the bike new battery motor controller will I still have features like traction control
I'm not sure about the EMX controller but I got the torp and I lost traction control and reverse but they're supposed to come out with an update soon to regain those features
Brian I don’t have your number let’s go rideeeeee
😂😂🤘
Sorry nut didnt quite follow wat your results were at the end except that it aas hard to keep the front end down
What an iteresting video. I havnt seen one better. I was hoping the chain was quiet things down because that ultra Bee makes this clacking drive train sound vut must not be coming from that part of the drivetrain. Nice looking bike too. 😊
I’m so scared to crash my ultra bee and die by a Tesla
Don't be scurd lol
Charge the battery!
I'd love to see a long term review as well as what time you land on for trail riding etc.
You mean how long I can ride trails on a full charge?
@@slovarick1 sorry I meant what tune you land on. Curious if you find a sweet spot you enjoy for trail riding.
Ha, awesome! Time for someone to make a +2" swingarm!
I know! This thing wheelies way too easy now, I can't even get to full throttle lol
@@slovarick1 when I race mine, I’ve notice it’s particularly difficult to do technical climbs due to the light front end and shorter wheelbase relative to a big bike. It just wants to rotate under you. It’s still a blast, but an extension would be amazing.
@@cjacobs0404 Ya ive looped mine a couple times unexpectedly and I'm pretty careful with the throttle
@@slovarick1 what setting have you toggled to be able to lift the wheel going 25mph+?
@@hangry7284 I run 28KW with the Torp Controller, it'll lift the front wheel even at 40 mph
Chosen one!
Any ideas the best settings for flat mixed terrain riding?
If it's flat you could lower the breaking regen to three or four and the engine coasting regen to one
was that in sport ??
No that was in D mode
pretty impressive for the light bee given you have an extra 1,272Wh, was he going slower? did he have brake regen on? not sure why u didn't use it in the hills as it gives u more range and saves brake pads, also that's the biggest battery u can get for the light bee, the biggest battery for ultra (88v 76Ah) would give you 2,488Wh more than his 4200wh (68% more range vs current 30%).
Thanks, We were both going the same speed, I'll use regen in the next video
Sickest ultra bee I have seen beautiful bro.
Thanks, I love the graphics too!
Great video. Do you expect the chain to be more durable and last longer? Also, are the police cool seeing Bees on the road if going under 25mph and not drawing attention?
Thank you! They last about the same but the benefits favor the chain. The cops are so different everywhere that it depends on your area and the mood of the Cop but I wouldn't go on the street without a plate.
Do you need a sticker (red/green/blue) to do these trails on the Surron lbx? New to dirt bikes, so don’t know much. Live in Valencia.
Not sure about lightbee but the ultra needs at least a red sticker which means winter time only, the dealer gave me a red sticker when I bought it.
@slovarick1 thanks. How do I find out if lbx needs a sticker? Did they give your friend (on the lbx) a hard time?
Who weighs more?
I'm 170 pounds without gear and he's 160 pounds without gear
@slovarick1 dang. Ultra def has more range then
@@Alex-oy6wb ofc it does, the ultra has a way bigger battery than the light bee in this video. and they almost got the same range... so if you think about it the light bee is really impressive compared to the ultra bee
favorite spot to ride!!! get some! hows the torq?!
It's as fast as My Ktm 300 now, Cray Cray!
@@slovarick1 fukyaaaaa 🤘🤘🤘
Another killer edit!! Making me wish for a surron!!
Get one! Only $6000, you can try mine anytime!
So you payed 4500$ for 10 miles advantage ? I think it is stupid !
Thank you very little
Man that looked like a fun day out,i like your edit to😅
just another average ride lol
What are your tire specs I’m also looking into a 21/19 setup
Definitely get the 21 front but I would stick with the 19 stock rear, you'll get five more miles range because all the 18 inch tires are so heavy, I run either Michelin Starcross five or Kenda Trackmaster 100 rear, 10 psi, tons of grip
Where did you get your chain drive?
Charged cycle works or edirty bike, or Google it
Just the video I was looking for. I am thinking about putting a chain drive on my Eride Pro SS. Thanks
how is it with the chain when I only drive offroad? does the chain need to be lubricated or does it work all the time when dry? because there is no need to take care of the belt
I lube it every other ride, I have the x-ring chain, if you have non o ring then you have to lube it every ride
Great video. So it adds a little more torque from the size/ratio difference. I highly doubt the chain is less resistance than a belt
It is though
40miles at 13% left on a 75ah battery ?! You need your money back 💀😭 Yes I saw the road conditions and you also average about 20-25mph
Not 13% it's 23% He started with 90% battery So realistically speaking the actual range will be 50+miles on sports mode!
@@jayesh513145miles top before it dies 💯
@@rolandroland1485 So you're saying with 23% left. You could only do 5 miles 😂 Think again!
This will also help your range…th-cam.com/video/4nM9zYCoIwU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=C06NEHNVgYWln42C
Really happy you took time out of your day to make this video. I definitely didn't think the chain was going to be that much of a improvement very surprised
You're very welcome… Only took five months to film, ride and edit, all for just a couple of views lol
@@slovarick1 Thank you for your effort.
@@fcalin21 If the Surron style of bikes find a home like Honda and Yamaha?...soon all will be outfitted with Gear Box. As it stands, the jack-shaft is the weak link in their puzzle.
@@shockadellick I think I prefer automatic over manual
Great job on the comparison! Makes me all the happier that I converted to the primary chain.
Thanks shred! Great minds… Ha ha
Ever run the 54 tooth sprocket? What was your top speed with it?
Yes top speed was 51 mph
@@slovarick1 Cool, and great channel/info, man! I'm about to switch to an 18/21 setup and was thinking about upgrading to a 54-tooth sprocket to maintain low-end torque. Some people say not much torque is lost with the stock 46-tooth sprocket and that it tones the bike down a bit, but it's still very rideable. If possible, I want to keep the bike in the 50 mph range for riding the firelines with the gassers. Single track is fine, but I'd like to maintain some of that speed for the aforementioned.
@@y2k1307 I would do 58 for more power and range, depends at what speed you usually ride at, but at least 54, not sure I wanna go 55 mph on a fire road, I've been over the bars enough times ha ha
I have 18/21 setup with 54 sprocket. My top speed is 49mph. Plenty of torque in daily mode. A little too much in sport. I think similar torque can be achieved with stock 46 in sport and throttle control at 2. I'm actually going to change back to the stock to try it out. Have a street setup with the stock rims, and it's pain switching out chains between the two setups. Also I would like to go faster in the trails. Can go up to 56-58 with stock sprocket.
Nice work on the video by the way. Wish I had the time to create quality content like this.
Solid video mate, love ur edit style dont change it up its perfect. Earned yourself a new subscriber and supporter 👊👊
Thanks, I'm a bit of a goofball
Looks like the chain is the way to go! What is the cost?
Chain is $100, well worth the peace of mind
So what are your thoughts on these Ultra Bee's? Worth the money? As fun as a gasser? Thx man!
Well worth the money, I'd say it's funner than a gasser because it's so much easier to ride, smaller, lighter, automatic, rear handbrake, handles better on single track, and way less tiring, I sold my ktm!
how do you like your rear sprocket? I have 54t and was thinking of going to 60t. How much is you top speed now. Do you think the 60t can improve range or just torque?
I love it, definitely more torque and more range, I recommend it to everyone with stock controller but I'm getting a Torp controller so I'll go down to 58
Definitely studying this to learn the right lines... Nice meeting ya!
Does it feel back tall? looks good!
balance feels fine, I actually slid the forks up to the 3rd line on the forks to get front grip, but I have a 21inch front wheel now.
@@slovarick1 dope! Thanks for the reply
