Great ❤
Cool video!
The monks of feudal Japan were interesting people, what do you think?
i agree
cool video
I hope you enjoy this video!! What do you think life was like as Ronin??
Great presentation. Being a Ronin doesn't sound pleasant lol
This "bushido" carried over into WW2. Unfortunately, bushido was no match for the atom bomb. Wonderful presentation.
Problem with Japan is that they don't want to acknowledge their horrific & cruel acts or defeat. Even though they started World War 2 & lost they portray themselves as a victim not as a perpetrator. This is why they are not respected in Asia.
Head count?
Very good presentation. Thank you very much.
great video
Thank you!!
Hope you enjoyed the video, what parts of Samurai culture should we look into next?
training and everyday life
@@micahistory Great idea ;)
Head count?
You don't really hear about how obsessed Samurai were with head collection lol
It was probably a hobby haha
Kojiro was 60 years old at the time of the duel, not the young man described in Yoshikawa's novel which most TH-cam videos seem to draw their 'facts' from. Musashi claims to have won 60 duels, but through out his life he only mentions 3 names of those he fought. The whole legend of Musashi wobbles when you start looking into the actual fact. Prof Alex Bennett has written a great book on the subject and a small booklet was published years ago by the International Budo uni. in Katsuura.
In both Japan and Europe it was not unusual for both combatants to die in the duel or for the "Winner "to later die of his wounds or infection. For Musashi to engage in as many duels as he did and die a very old man is truly incredible.
Cool video, recently found this channel, good job!
Thank you!
I hope you all enjoyed this video. I believe this is the greatest duel in history, what do you think?
I can't believe Musashi brought an oar to a sword fight haha
Hopefully this blows up this is great
super interesting, i just subbed to this channel yesterday
Cool video, Can you make one about Shoguns hiring Shinobi
Hope you enjoy this video! What do you guys think of Shogun's spending habits?
The harsh reality behind the samurai as a proud warrior culture.
If there was going to be a recent movie about Musashi, I think Keanu Reeves should play him. He’s Japanese (half Japanese)
for me.. hes just an overrated cheater
The Samurai were fascinating warriors. What do you think about the legacy they left behind?
Cool video :) can you make one about their obsession with taking peoples heads lol
samurai is plural. "samurais" is an embarrassment.
only children believe these stereotypes, cmon!
Many in the west thinks that the last samurai is true and not Hollywood.
The western People made samurai very wrong.. example Miyamoto Mushashi they had said is to be the greatest samurai ever..Wich is Laughable..they Didn't know the real history of Samurai..
🗿
Ninja
Rambo - "to win... survive"
Great video. The characters were quite relatable in the show and not just stereotypical I found
How do you think Shogun portrayed Samurai warriors??
Hahahaha!!!!!!! The irony 😂 Musashi gained an edge by wooden sword 🤣🤣🤣
They were not called shogun back then that is more of a modern term
Saitō Dōsan was defeated by his son Yoshitatsu, not by his son-in-law Oda Nobunaga, who he even considered a possible heir.
Any lidership position is a tough life.
I’d take him💪
I can fix him
I would give being a Shogun a try for a day maybe 😅
Being a Shogun sounds like a tough life. Would do you think?
I just watched the entire video and I expected this to have way more views than it actually does! In my opinion the guy deserved to be "betrayed", if you can even call it that at that point.
Great video. Please do a video about Sanada Yukimura.
This seems a bit like you used chat gpt, judging by the way you repeated the same idea for 12+ sentences If this is not the case, please understand that a five minute video with succinct statements and overarching ideas is better than trying to fill out a page, whether for school or fun
Combat pragmatism.
Real Yasuo
Was well ahead of his time to use mindgames that have become common practice in todays modern combat sport !! For this although it goes against the bushido is like any other evolutionary process that takes things forward . It may not be fair but like everything else in life its just buisness ! And in order for a buisness to survive it has to continually move forward often in ways tgat are not deemed ethical or fair .
What do you think of Musashi's style?
Well, done samurai Musashi, you survive well with your sword, technique and philosophy of survival in a traumatic environment well done once again samurai warrior
