Great Blue Heron fishing off of our neighbors dock
This evening a great blue heron walked across our dock and onto our neighbors dock and then jumped into the water and came out with a fish! I happened to be outside with my camera and was able to get the whole thing on video. Enjoy :)

Kruger National Park June 2022

My husband and I spent 3 weeks traveling through Kruger National Park back in 2022. The first week we hired Private Kruger Safaris (www.privatekrugersafaris.co.za) to drive us around. Berhard and Hennie Bekker are AWESOME!! They know Kruger and all of the birds, mammals, and reptiles that inhabit the park; you can't go wrong by hiring them!! The last two weeks we drove ourselves around, staying...

Argentina and Antartica with Polar Latitudes-Jan - Feb 2024
มุมมอง 3.1K11 หลายเดือนก่อน
We parents, Bob, Theresa, Enid, and Lars, decided to embark on a journey to Antartica in celebration of our children's wedding in September of 2023, after dating for 10 years. We called it our "parent moon"! Polar Latitudes was the company we decided to go with based on their smaller ship, science-based itinerary, and 100% focus in Antartica. We had an epic trip and I hope this video gives you ...

Heron Riding Hippo HD 1080p

While visiting Kruger National Park, we observed this heron riding on the back of a hippo. When the hippo swam, he created a wake, and the heron grabbed fish that rose to the surface of the water during the wake. Nature never ceases to amaze me :) Enjoy
Zebra and baby
มุมมอง 11K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Kruger National Park - June 20, 2022 We watched this zebra mom patiently try to wake baby zebra but baby was not cooperating. Finally baby got up, but only because a herd of antelope nearby was spooked by something and started running which in turn put the zebras on alert.

Home!!! 😁 amazing pics, I'd love to do a painting collaboration of one of your photos.
This Lion sure is real
Excellent video, thank you! We were on Polar Latitude after you in February. It was a trip of a lifetime and would go back in a heartbeat.
Thanks! We had such a great time on our trip and it sounds like you did too!!!
I just found your video. I was on the same expedition as you. In fact, you can see me leaving the camping site with the black and yellow backpack caring by sleeping bag. Thank you for sharing. It was nice to relive it again. So many great memories. Your photos and videos are amazing. Now I want to go back.
It was such a great trip!!
Amazing footage! That looks like a large fish (do you know what kind?) the bird caught! The fish was struggling, but the hungry Heron managed to fully consume (alive?!) it all okay? It looked like the unlucky thing was desperately kicking staring down that long throat! I wonder, does the sizable fish stand any chance of escaping if eaten in that condition? Maybe it can turn around inside the elastic throat/stomach and has a chance of survival here.
😁 great
Thanks 😊
Salam sirahturahmi lir
Nice capture
Thanks a lot 😊
This was absolutely wonderful and is making me really look forward to my Antartic Cruise and trip the end of this year. May I ask how you put this all together? Software you used? Again, just great!
Hi Brenda! I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed the video. I recorded most of the video on my canon R3. I made the video in iMovie and pulled the music from TH-cam audio. This took me about 25-30 hours to do because I had so much footage to go through, but it was worth it.
@@theresawiltrout thank you for th info! I use iMovie as well. I was wondering if there was something else out there. Great video and looks like you had a wonderful trip. I can't wait for mine.
@@brendajphotography have a wonderful time...it's such an amazing place and I cannot wait to go back again. In reading my first reply to you I realized that I incorrectly typed R3...I have a Canon R5, not an R3.
Beaut penguin shots 👍
Thanks!
Great video! Looks like a fantastic trip. You seemed to have perfect weather and your photos are spectacular.
Thanks! We were very fortunate to have great weather for most of the trip. That certainly made photography easier. It was a fabulous expedition and the staff at Polar Latitudes were amazing.
Is this in Florida Gulf Islands & Charlotte Harbor?
Hi Lauren, this is in the South Gulf Cove development in Port Charlotte, FL. Our canals lead to a lock that puts us in the Myakka River near the El Jobean Bridge on route 776.
Let's see it is 6:10 a.m. over there I think it's calling for room service I think he's hungry

How come they don't get cold?
How come they don’t get cold?
Large animals radiate high body temperatures. This is one of the reasons why creatures like polar bears can live in the Arctic without much trouble.
@@hunterrhoades1813 radiate or insulate?
@@Meghnaaad former for the ones in non-tundra climates, both for tundra climates. It varies on the needs of each animal (besides that the fur insulates the body from harsh colds not the size itself.)
He is adorable !
Nice and beautiful video. Thanks for sharing. Big Like 4
You are very welcome!
Wow that's quite a video! This is David from St Marks. Saw that crazy Great Blue Heron video, too. It was great to meet you guys today and tell Bob he was right about the Green Winged Teal :-) Happy Trails!
Hey David!! It was great meeting you too and thanks so much for all of the tips concerning the eagle and owl nests. I told Bob about the green winged teal...his response was a very big smile!!

What's the average flood insurance in 2022? Is it different for canal front versus land-locked lot?
Hi Russell! In South Gulf Cove, I believe flood insurance costs are calculated based on the flood zone your property is in so it doesn’t matter whether you are canal front or land locked. The canals here are behind a lock so we do not get tidal changes.
Amazing 🦡❤️
Thanks :)
I hate these spiders Haha traumatic experience go BRR
I used to be terrified of these spiders when I was a kid because they are big and scary looking but when I learned about these fascinating creatures, and that they are not deadly, I think they are really cool!
Yes they are very cool!! Glad to hear you are no longer afraid of them :)
Great footage and love your video style and the way you put it all together.
Thanks :) I want to go back again...probably in March so that I can see them in mass at the park :)
Great footage!
So awesome!
Thanks for putting this together fro those of us who couldn’t be there.
Great job! THANKS FOR POSTING!
How AMAZING is this Spider ! Nature is God's Artwork 🕷🐞🐝🕸
Absolutely!
Nice Job!
Terry Wells thanks😎
Wish I could do that with my abdomen. Saw two of these in Greenville SC the other day.
Why do they build that zig zag in the web ?
For decoration. How cool is that ?!
Not sure. I have read that some entomologists think it might attract prey.
I've heard that they do that so larger animals such as birds will see the web better and won't fly into them and damage them.
I absolutely HATE spiders, but I like this one for some odd reason.
Watch out Kathryn Bigelow!
LOL... Nice "Trailer" Theresa! I liked the squirrel that came down to investigate!
