Taking out the hemlocks in front of the house. These trees were full grown when we bought the place over 40 years ago, and I have mixed emotions about taking them out. The risk to property and life is too great now to keep them. They will be missed.

The VTR Slurry Train heads south through Arlington Vermont, and into the North Bennington Yard. The train backs into the south fork of the wye, and drops the consist. It then heads back west to pick up two cars and heads north to wait for the Pan Am train to deliver empties for return to the Omya plant in Florence, Vermont.

My first attempt at time lapse video. A storm I shot in June 2012 in normal speed, then processed with ffmpeg at 8 fps. I hope to improve in the future.
