Just some extra context that I think could help enhance the song/lyrics for English viewers: First of, this is all PURELY my opinion. So, please be gentle. The first verses and chorus up to 01:05 are sung by Sakura Miko in the present, meaning to say shes singing to her past self as hinted from the start of the MV. The second verse and chorus up to 01:50 are sung by Sakura Miko from the past, showcasing the journey shes had up to thus far and all the obstacles shes faced through it. From here, the lead-up to 02:50, the lyrics flip back and forth between the present Sakura Miko and the past Miko, I will let you interpret which lyric belongs is to who. And finally, the final chorus is sung by both Mikos, with Miko’s last verse addressed to her past self once more. Now, I don’t normally write these sorts of “analysis”, because you are capable of making your own judgement. But this MV animation and song has quickly become one of my favorites to listen and watch because of the references and meanings in the work. While compiling the lyrics, I sort of felt that adding this small bit of perspective here, the two Mikos singing their parts of the song, makes this song that much more powerful. Also, if you didn't cry watching the MV, please re-watch it until you do. Thanks!!
