9:15pm Wonderful to watch and remember a most remarkable person. So proud to be a part of it for 10 years.
I met Mr. Kenley when I was not yet 17. I was accompanist for 2 performers, Martin Vindovic and Linda, who later became his wife. I am tall, still 6 5. Mr Kenley hired me as apprentice. So bad I immediately was transferred to play rehearsals. Not just for chorus, but for Joel Grey, Ann Miller, Howard Keel, Sally Ann Howes. A learning experience, heaven on earth I owe to John Kenley!
This is my Great Great Grandfather I am honored to be part of this family 👪 ❤
A beautiful tribute to a wonderful producer who foremost wanted to bring top notch to entertain the middle class people of Ohio. He not only entertained them--he cultivated hiis audiences! All that at $3.95 a ticket in Warren, Dayton. Columbus Ohio, for many wonderful years.
Amazing story for a wonderful person who was ahead of times. No one was more down to earth and out of this world than John Kenley. It was an honor to be employed by this incredible individual.
That was entertainment provided by a producer who.had paid his dues.
what does John Kenley have to do with the Philadelphia Experiment?

Great videos....I was a Kenley Player....On a Clear Day you Can see Forever with SHirley Jones and Private Lives with Dyan Cannon and Keir Dullea. An amazing summer..... WHen I auditioned for him in New York I was so nervous. Even though I was not Equity, I was given the opportunity to sing for him because I could him a high C. He LOVED women singing high notes. A friend came to accompany me, I was so nervous I couldn't talk and he answered John for me. John was so good to me.A wonderful man.

Your updates are appreciated. We were pressed for time in getting the original video tribute together. I realized many errors as we screened it before the ceremony. However, Alice and Frank Kenley both reviewed the script and approved it. Thanks again for the updates - any future comments will be appreciated.
Look at some of your own film footage. You can see the signage in front of the Music Hall, advertising $1.00 and $2.00 TOP.
Actually your research is STILL incorrect. The opening season (1958) there were two sections in the Music Hall wherein all seats were $1.00. EVERY other seat in the entire hall was $2.00. Season tickets were slightly lower. I only worked for John in that first season, so I don't know how the pricing went in subsequent years. He was a wonderful employer and an even better friend, to me. Your research is also in error as to how/why/when he came to Warren.
Actually, you could get a seat for $1.95!!! Believe it or not. Our research on the original track was incorrect.
