i can agree with you because when i last visited Mahindra dealership back at my city. they told me that they have another fix for free spinning problem that "they are now making few changes in suspension instead of replacing differential'. But i think in you case its matter of misleading or basically lying about they did and what they told you what they will do. i would suggest you, If you have conversation about replacing Differential in written, then you can follow up with Online customer care and escalate this about situation and focus more upon misinformation and misleading by local Mahindra Workshop.

Mahindra No Longer Provide MLD for tuv300 wheel spin problem, They instead provide a new coil and shock absorber for all 4 wheels and 2 new weaker anti-rollbar. As far as i know they stop providing MLD for free since early 2019. It doesn't help at all in term of more articulation for grip. I still get Lots of wheel spins everyday.(Lives in hill station, small steep turns everywhere). But the vehicle bounce less over uneven terrain.

Hi. i would suggest you, if your vehicle is in warranty period. you can report your problem with local dealership and it depends upon you how you present your case to convince them. Else you can check it out in open market with any reputed dealership for MLD.

@jigarkumar. Yes mere free of cost mein change ho gaya tha. but it all depends how do you deal with person in dealership workshop and how better they make your case for their superior.

Hi Ved, I have sent an email to customercare@mahindra.com But what I have come to know 2 years back around jan 2019 that they didn't replace the Differential anymore. instead of that, they might offer some changes in rear suspension or shocks. but still, if you have the same problem just report them. rest will follow how you deal with them. Hi Salman, really i don't have idea about the after market Differential cost. because along with Differential Drive shaft gets also changed. So, cost could easily go up more than 20K to 50K. IF your car is with in warranty period. i will advise you to raise this issue with Mahindra's customer care via proper channel like on email.

yes, in my recent interaction in january. they told they have sort out this suspension kit instead of Differential replacement. Since differential replacement was temp solution (expensive to them) and also comes with Humming sound (irritating) when drive beyond 80 KM/H. so, i would suggest you to go for suspension kit. that would solve the problem.

Hi Murali, recently i have interaction with service engineer at Mahindra workshop in ludhaina while having regular servicing. Now as per their saying, they have find a fix for free wheel spinning without changing the differential. Now they are offering to make some adjustment in Rear suspension of TUV300 by replacing the shockers and few other stuffs at free of cost at customer's will. Sorry i don't have the part number available with me but i do know that when they change the differential from stock to another one, they also replace the Drive Shaft and install the TUV300 PLUS drive shaft which actually creates Humming sound on high speed, it does not have any mechanical issues but sound is kind of irritating. So, you should just ask them to fix the problem by doing anything. don't ask them to replace the differential. that's what i have did. but at my time they don't have other alternative fix as i have mentioned now. I hope this will help you somewhere with your problem. if not, you can let me know. i will try to give you more details as possible. Also, one more thing don't interact with at service station. go to them by first approaching customer care with you problem reported to them on email. that would make it official and force them to act upon your problem.

@@AamirMehboobLudhianvi Thanks man. Actually at one service station I was told that they fixed the free wheel spinning issue. But that is not possible unless you have a locker or Limitied slip. I will check again at another place.

@@mpadalax @murali padala. actually Free spinning issue is not an issue in itself. if you can go through Open differential principal, this is how it actually works transfer the power to low traction wheel. but in TUV300 its is more than normal because of poor design and uneven weight distribution at back side of car. Infact Bolero, Scorpio, Ford endeavor, tata safari and almost all the SUV's which are even 4*4 have Open differentials except latest generation and THAR. So, if this issue is actually not bothering you in day to day life. so, i would suggest you not to go for after market replacement. If still you want to get it replaced have it done from mahindra. @@AamirMehboobLudhianvi Hi Aamir, I understand..without an open diff it will be difficult to turn. Also any 4x4 with open differential will be useless even if one wheel loses traction. As all power will flow through the path of least resistance. I guess Force Motors has vehicles with diff locks from the factory. Anyways I live in the US and have a Land Rover Discovery II and go off-road quite a bit. I had a Limited Slip Locker installed (Eaton Truetrac) on it, even though the vehicle has an off-road Traction control computer which applies brake to the spinning wheels to divert power to the wheels with grip. The issue with TUV is that even trying to get on a slight inclination (and if you are getting at an angle), the suspension travel is not much, causing one of the drive wheels to lose grip and causing it to spin. I agree with you about the weight distribution and suspension travel on TUV. Mostly we drive in the city but sometimes we go to rural places where this becomes an issue..

@@mpadalax I Absolutely agree with you. with Open Differentials its almost impossible to go for offroading. And Yes Force motors do provide it. But in india most of so called Compact SUV's are basically price competitors. So, they are trying to provide maximum in given amount. And TUV300 and Bolero is only in the segment with rear wheel drive offering. So, basically for proper offroading experience people in india go for THAR, Gypsy and plus luxury go for Toyota Fortuner. Or modify there vehicle as per their requirement. I am Also in US and as you know the standard b/w Indian motors and Us motors are not at the same level. thats the only reason i gave example for some India suv's in last comment.

Hi Ravindra, Not sure about it. since company never acknowledge it as an problem officially. So, no body will tell you this from their side and even it won't be mention anywhere in their website that they had made any changes. you can always ask an test drive and try to do it while drive and if executive will be honest you can ask him also. No worries go for test ride and do let me know if this has been resolved or not in T10. :)

Hi vivek, Mine was absolutely free. it was under warranty period. i just shoot an email to customer care and they ask me to visit the near by service station. all the procedure was absolutely free. no money was taken from me.

@@anubhavgaur6075 No doubt about MLD is best, but since Mahindra has figured out alternative solution to MLD for their mistake.so, they are now only offering Suspension kit for free of cost.

Hi Karan, by seeing the image in your comment. it does not make it clear, whether it is an Locking differential or not. but what i know is, i had bought my TUV300 T8 in Dec 2017 and its manufactured in same month also and it was having stock Open differential. As far i know, Mahindra is still didn't picked it up and still giving the same Open differential in New TUV300. So, if you have rear wheel spinning problem very frequently and on even very less uneven surfaces. you should raise it as an problem with detail information to mahindra customer care and then they will guide you. don't ask them to replace the rear differential just tell them to fix it. they have no other option to fix other than replacing it. so, your job will be done. just be patient in this process. it took about 3 weeks from raising the issue and it replaced in very first month of my purchase. And one more thing, Mahindra will replace the Complete rear Open Differential (axle and drive shaft) with Limited Slip Differential. every body on youtube is keeping calling it as MLD (manual locking Differntial). but it is actually Limited Slip Differential (LSD). MLD comes in Thar where they have given an lever near the driver seat to engage the Lock manually at any time.

@manivnit1 don't worry about spinning issue. this is not a malfunction. it is designed to work like this. basically this spinning problem comes in to picture when you go for offroading only. in normal day to day life it works perfectly. you can ask the Dealer ship post delivery to change it after one month by giving some sample problem like you face. they will replace the rear differential at free of cost. So, now my views about TUV 300. mine is T8. first of all create a list of your requirements you need in a car. For TUV 300 T8. it is the best in segment with Full on features and rear wheel drive having seating capacity of 7 people with price tag of around 9.90 lakhs approx on road. where as no other cars in this price segment will come with 7 seating capacity, rear wheel drive , 240 NM torque in one package. (like Duster,Ecosport, creta,nexon, breza, i20 etc these are all front wheel dirve and 5 seater) yes bolero is one but that is not feature full and comfortable family car. TUV has comfortable drive in city and on highways. have very handy features like Static Bending corner lamps very helpful in night time at turns. seat belt,hand brake alarms, engine start stop button automatic (micro hybrid).Different mode (full power mode/ECO mode fuel saving). Complete AC and ECO AC. Good presence on the road like complete big SUV with high seating position, Lumber support on front seats. These all thing makes TUV 300 T8 a good choice in my view as per my requirements. Body shape depends upon how you look on it. I hope this information might help you take the decision. :)

@@sanjyotipatil6499 have you directly ask him to replace the Differential. never ask them to do. just ask them to resolve the problem anyhow. if they don't agree like you said. you can escalate their response and your problem via email and to next level. but please remember never ask by your self to replace the differential. they have no option other than replacing to fix it. so, just ask them to fix it anyhow. don't pretend to be technical with them.

@pradad Rao yes it can be fixed. I have written up an email and escalate it with problem i faced. don't mention that other people vehicles has been fixed. just mention the problem you are facing and customer care would sent your problem down to your near by service center. then schedule an appointment and let them know the same problem. this video is made with in the service center for the proof by the service center personal to attach it with my problem order to sent it to their technical team. they will get it approved from their respective technical team with in a week and they will place an order for additional parts which needs to be installed. then they will ask you to brought the vehicle to them for one complete day for installation of MLD kit. this MLD kit would be provided by Mahindra free of cost. Note:- once again don't mention that other people TUV problem has been fixed. just tell you are facing the problem with some example.
