I make things, sometimes. I like making music and short films, mostly, but I'm depressed and lack motivation to do anything. Maybe you could help by subscribing?
Cardiacs' Fiery Gun Hand but it's the SM64 Soundfont
Here's another Cardiacs cover. The music this time was far more difficult, but luckily there was another MIDI file on cardiacs.org, which took away the brunt work of transcribing it myself. However, the guitar solo on it was almost completely unusable, so I had to reference a different transcription on musescore.com (by Dominic Caudill) to make it sound like the original. Punching in the notes and adding the embellishments took the most time, since the solo is completely insane and hard to understand.
Overall, I'm happy with how it came out and hope you enjoy it for what it is!
Dedicated to Tim Smith. Rest in peace.

Cardiacs' Baby Heart Dirt but it's the SM64 Soundfont
มุมมอง 1.1Kปีที่แล้ว
Amidst all of the recent covers of songs with the Super Mario 64 Soundfont, I thought I'd make one more. This is a song from one of my favourite bands, Cardiacs, for which I was able to find a MIDI file on cardiacs.org (wasn't completely accurate, so I edited it slightly). The album cover probably took longer to make than the actual music, since I had to find all the 3D models online, position ...
Not A Complete Nightmare - Another short experimental song
มุมมอง 1533 ปีที่แล้ว
Here's another song I made without knowing how it would sound. This time, I decided to make it j a z z. The last one was sometimes accidentally jazz, this time I decided to go all in, fully expecting it to sound nightmarish, but I'm still quite happy with how it turned out. And I finally drew a proper quarter rest!
Huh? - A short experimental song by August Schröder
มุมมอง 1433 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a short song I made as a bit of an experiment/exercise. The messy sheet music you see in the middle was written by me in school today out of boredom, and I had no idea how it would sound, since it was basically just random notes and chord symbols. Back at home, I transcribed it to midi (I accidentally input a couple notes wrong, but I was already used to how it sounded and didn't like h...
My Blender Render Reel #1
มุมมอง 1393 ปีที่แล้ว
These are a few Renders I've made over the past year or so, with the free, open-source 3D-modeling program Blender. These are by no means very impressive, and I'm not doing Blender justice here. Most of them were just me trying out stuff. Blender is super versatile, you can use it for 3D-modeling, but also visual effects, physics simulations, animation, and more (this isn't an ad, I just really...
A Day In The Life Of A Worker In The Industrial Revolution - A Stop-Animation Short
มุมมอง 2204 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a Stop-Motion Animation film I made with a friend for a school project. It tells the story of a couple living in the early 1900s, who have to get up every morning to go to work and come back home with sore backs and hands. It was difficult to choose one particular place for the film to take place in, so some depictions of transport, food, housing, etc. might not be entirely accurate to ...
The End
มุมมอง 2274 ปีที่แล้ว
"OH MY GOD, IT'S FINALLY OVER!!" is what I exclaimed, as I finished this song on the 12th of January, 2020. I wasn't in any particular mood at the time, it just kinda evolved over time (when I say time, I mean, like twenty minutes), just like the rest of the songs. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this little trip of an album I've created, and I'll see you in the next album... just kidding... unless?...
Electronic Saddness

Ok, this one's a bit different. I used a free program called "Bosca Ceoil" (I know, weird name), and just experimented with the sounds and cobbled together a quick, depressing ass song. Enjoy! :)
Off In The Distance
มุมมอง 764 ปีที่แล้ว
I had been experimenting with the beginning melody for a while, not sure where the rest came from. You can probably already tell, pretty much all the songs were recorded without much of a plan. I should've called the album "Go with the Flow". Again, same recording method as the previous three songs.
Move Over, Mama
มุมมอง 804 ปีที่แล้ว
A kind of funky song I made by basically just slapping my guitar until it wept (Beatles fans will get that). Recorded it in the same manner as the previous two songs.

Much like "Calling, calling" I recorded this entire song on my phone, using a phaser-effect for the guitar ad the jazz kit for drums.
Calling, calling
มุมมอง 864 ปีที่แล้ว
This is the first song I recorded with my electric guitar, and I recorded it by plugging a microphone into my phone with an adapter, placing the mic in front of my amp, and starting to experiment with different effects (on the Bandlab app), until I got this, and a few other songs on this album. And all that on my phone! Pretty cool, right? Sadly, no lyrics on this song and all the following son...
Madman
มุมมอง 1404 ปีที่แล้ว
I only have vague memories of recording this one. I feel like it could have been better, just like any other song on this album. I'm pretty sure I was just trying to think of a song fast, so I made up this song. You can practically hear my unenthusiasm as I count the beats at the beginning of the song, and while I'm singing. At least it didn't have that annoying electric guitar I made. Lyrics: ...
Ballpoint Pen
มุมมอง 1644 ปีที่แล้ว
This is the third song I created for the album, and this time I took it *slightly* more seriously. I wrote lyrics and finished my homemade drum set, which was sadly only used for this and the next song on the album. The lyrics are probably the best on the album, and the ones I'm most satisfied with (get it?). Lyrics: Ballpoint pen! Where did you go? I need something to write a song about a ball...
Rough
มุมมอง 1594 ปีที่แล้ว
This song was created sometime after the first. The instruments this time around were a homemade, 1-string electric guitar, which doubled as a microphone, and instead of homemade drums, I used a premade drum pack in Bandlab, which is the program I used to record it. Lyrics (if you want to sing along): OH! YEAH! OH! YEAH! GO! YEAH! YEAH! YEAH! YEAH! (slightly less enthusiastic) yeah! yeah! yeah!...
Is this musescore ?

Genius on top of genius, bravo! Jibber and Twitch next ?

No one did, it was all midi, meaning the computer played it.
A splendid piece of work
The chorus still boggles my mind to this day, I’ll never fully understand it

Glorious. I love the cover art too!
I'm grinning so stupidly right now. Thank you!!!

What about the Midi File? were you able to simply switch the soundfont? Base what you made on what the Midi File shows?
Hi, sorry for the late reply. I got the MIDI file off of cardiacs.org, along with Fiery Gun Hand, and I was mostly able to just assign each track to a diffrent Soundfont instrument. I did make a couple small adjustments to the MIDI to make it sound closer to the original, like the piano part, and switched a couple parts around to different instruments mid-way through the song. But yeah, most of the song is just the original MIDI file.
Wasn’t expecting to see a Cardiacs SM64 remix in my recommended, but I’m bloody glad I did because this is the most awesome SM64 remake I’ve heard so far. Stellar work!
Fantastic mate.
