What a legend. Watched all his TV episodes back in the early to mid nineties. Being a quick learner and eager to see how he fished I learned all the fishing skills and know-how from watching and listening to his ways as an angler Absolutely a legend in my eyes and still love watching the vids today. RIP Wilson and I hope you're fishing rivers and lakes on the journey your taking now.

I used to love John Wilson and his program when I was a kid growing up. It broke my heart years later to hear that off camera the guy was a total shithouse.

A great man ....who brought many different types of Fishing to the public through Television 📺.

The legend takes me back to being 10 this guy was my you tube tips and tricks Ty for the nostalgia brother

this was proper fishing if he went out in a boat sea fishing he caught the fish himself and if he fished from the land he hooked it brought it in and landed it none of the bullshit you get in 2024 where you send the bait out in a bait boat then let a bite alarm wake you up you hook a fish then get into a boat and chase the fish just in case there may be a snag and use shark fishing braid just in case i used to catch 20lb +fish on 4lb line in lakes and rivers no problems ok i lost a few these days they use 30lb line to catch small fish look at some of the AMERICAN VIDEOS THESE DAYS hooks that are as long as your finger to catch a 3 lb fish i used a British size 22 to 14 THATS NOT MUCH BIGGER AT 22 THAN A QUESTION MARK ON THIS PC?

Used to fish the bann at Portglenone and Toome, was catching hundreds of lb's of bream. Unfortunately due to commercial fishing of the lough, those days are long gone.

John is the reason i went nile perch fishing in egypt, catfishing in spain and sturgeon fishing in canada. What an absolute legend!

I remember in my mid-teens fishing festivals in the Irish Republic. Kevin and his Dad Benny were present at one or more. Might have been a festival called the King of Clubs. I'm not sure though. But I remember them in the bar/hotel at the prize giving.

John Wilson is the reason i got into fishing and was i massive help for years.

How I loathe and detest frivolous joy riders and their toys either on the water or in the air. Mr..Wilson took it all good naturedly,I would've scowled like a demon.

Omg that takes me back, you can see in the top right corner the advert approaching break marker it's a little square ◽ with a black n white flash, it was usually about 30 seconds b4 the break and I remember if I needed a pee it did my head it waiting and when adverts came I'd try go the loo but my dad always said adults first and pushed me aside lol , great memories thanks for the upload, John Wilson was my fishing hero and still is in many ways as I learned alot from him.
