hi trevor
I AM SO MAD AT TH-cam RIGHT NOW! I've been subscribed to you since we used to go to TNDs together, and only NOW DO I KNOW YOU ARE UPLOADING A TTRPG D: Sad Kat is sad!
We just recently migrated from Twitch to YT, though all of the back issues are on here as well. Glad to have you on board!
Wish from the audience: since I only listen to these (and not watch) I would appreciate if the amusing texts were read aloud as appropriate.
LYRICS by Tom Smith: The winds were hard, the skies were brown, She'd wanted to get home before the rains came down, But he'd said, "Stay," and she almost said no; Now she ran as the high clouds loomed so grand and slow. The thunder roared, like bells it pealed, She found no shelter as she ran across the field, Stumbling and crying at every flash of light, Losing her courage, losing her way in the dark of night. But then she stopped to see, atop the hill, A young man standing, arms outstretched against the chill, Staring up at the storming sky as if entranced. Then he danced, oh, he danced. She could not move, could not breathe in her surprise, The storm ignored for the love and madness in his eyes, She sighed at his strength, she gasped at his grace, Until he stopped and came to stand before her hiding place. He said, "Why are you alone when everything sings above? Why do you fear at the afterglow as the clouds make love? Why do you wait when given a perfect chance? Come dance, come dance." She tried to think of the man she'd left, all safe and warm, But she only saw the dancer shadowed beneath the storm. She thought his hair was dark, she thought his eyes were clear, She thought she must be trembling as he drew near. He touched her face, she closed her eyes, In his fingertips she felt the pulse of the open skies. Then he held her hand, and he held her glance, And they danced, oh, they danced. And when the morning came, they found her there, Humming a tune, braiding flowers into her hair, But no one there could meet the look in her eyes, So dark and cold, unless she looked up at the skies. Now when the high clouds loom so grand and slow, She runs away to the hilltop with her eyes aglow, She stares up at the sky as if entranced, And she'll dance, oh, she'll dance.
Through hell
That's jen too
Arrr?
What an absolute delight! Reminds me of the days I used to sign. what fun!
As a writer facing a deadline, who keeps crumpling up the work, I find this song to be a winner. Nicely inspirational.
One of my favorites by SJ !!
Tiny violinist hiding behind the guitarist...
Thank you so much for this upload, friend
Years later and this song can still make me cry.
Damn good ditty I got a song about a band female outlaws in cowboy western days me and a buddy been writing a few years now called Marion and her Jezebels
God, Sooj looked so young back then. She had such a baby face.
it took me 20 minutes to find the chords to this song! (well part 1) this song is SO great! S.J. Tucker is truly awesome!
This is beautiful
ROFLMBO... I'm seeing the guy playing the guitar, then see the skirt swaying as he moves. ???? Not judging, just never saw him wear skirts or robes before. And it really doesn't go with his shirt. ??? LOL THEN I see the violin bow rising from his arm. I seriously need a new pair of glasses.
I just now had occasion to tweet a link to this video...IN RESPONSE TO SOMEONE ELSE'S TWEET. Try to wrap your mind around that.
where can i get the original song?
Do you mean a studio version by Seanan, or the "original-original" version by Talis Kimberley? If it's the former, it appears on her 2007 (re-released in 2013) album "Stars Fall Home." Talis's version doesn't seem to appear on any of her albums.
I don't know when or why I liked this. I have no memory of this
Well, you clearly had good taste.
@@johnburt1172 i also don’t remember commenting that lol. Why do I have selective memory about this video?
@@ValkyrieCainEpicness Because a wicked girl asked you to look directly into her fountain pen...?
Its better now trust me
well it's a Motel not a 5 Star Palace...
As someone who was born in Niagara Falls (I moved award about twenty years ago) I would apologize for this but then I would have to apologize for everything else.....like, LITERALLY EVERYTHING else!
I've read the Orphan Tales probably 10 times ever since you introduced me to them. I'm currently sharing it with everyone at my LARP :)

Wicked Girls Wendy played fair, and she played by the rules that they gave her; They say she grew up and grew old -- Peter Pan couldn't save her. They say she went home, and she never looked back, Got her feet on the ground, got her life on its track. She's the patron saint priestess of all the lost girls who got found. And she once had her head in the clouds, but she died on the ground. Dorothy just wanted something that she could believe in, A gray dustbowl girl in a life she was better off leavin'. She made her escape, went from gray into green, And she could have got clear, and she could have got clean, But she chose to be good and go back to the gray Kansas sky Where color's a fable and freedom's a fairy tale lie. Dorothy, Alice and Wendy and Jane, Susan and Lucy, we're calling your names, All the Lost Girls who came out of the rain And chose to go back on the shelf. Tinker Bell says, and I find I agree You have to break rules if you want to break free. So do as you like -- we're determined to be Wicked girls saving ourselves. Alice got lost, and I guess that we really can't blame her; They say she got tangled and tied in the lies that became her. They say she went mad, and she never complained, For there's peace of a kind in a life unconstrained. She gives Cheshire kisses, she's easy with white rabbit smiles, And she'll never be free, but she's won herself safe for a while. Susan and Lucy were queens, and they ruled well and proudly. They honored their land and their lord, rang the bells long and loudly. They never once asked to return to their lives To be children and chattel and mothers and wives, But the land cast them out in a lesson that only one learned; And one queen said 'I am not a toy', and she never returned. Mandy's a pirate, and Mia weaves silk shrouds for faeries, And Deborah will pour you red wine pressed from sweet poisoned berries. Kate poses riddles and Mary plays tricks, While Kaia builds towers from brambles and sticks, And the rules that we live by are simple and clear: Be wicked and lovely and don't live in fear -- Dorothy, Alice and Wendy and Jane, Susan and Lucy, we're calling your names, All the Lost Girls who came out of the rain And chose to go back on the shelf. Tinker Bell says, and I find I agree You have to break rules if you want to break free. So do as you like -- we're determined to be Wicked girls saving ourselves. For we will be wicked and we will be fair And they'll call us such names, and we really won't care, So go, tell your Wendys, your Susans, your Janes, There's a place they can go if they're tired of chains, And our roads may be golden, or broken, or lost, But we'll walk on them willingly, knowing the cost -- We won't take our place on the shelves. It's better to fly and it's better to die Say the wicked girls saving ourselves. Written on: 2008-05-09. Seanan McGuire
