Paradise Lost - Darker Thoughts (Cover)

First cover I ever did was a Paradise Lost song (Praise Lamented Shade), so here's another off their latest album Obsidian. Hope I was able to do it justice, that and hide the fact I can't do harsh vocals, but I'll be damned if that's going to stop me from trying! Made for entertainment purposes only.

I created at a TH-cam account for the sole reason of telling you that this is my favourite song.....and your version is by far my favourite version of it, including the original. You said in one of your comments below that you were considering doing another mix of it. I hope you do, not because there's anything wrong with this one, but because I would love to hear another version of your work.

At the time of recording, all drums had to be programmed, and I'm pretty sure the bass is a bit off-key in some places, so I do intend to start again from scratch very soon with real drums this time, if anything because I love the original so much. holy shit: 90% of the paradise lost covers on youtube are ridiculus, sounding like shit or vocals to laugh about. But this cover is incredible. Almost better than the original. Awesome man, awesome! Can you send me the WAVE file of this track? Is it possible? I am a Die Hard collector by the band and this cover got me really. It is strong, reallly really strong!

@@jamesleyshon8515 man, this chorus is better than the original. No kidding. I am the craciest die hard collector by the band but this is the perfect cover. A bit quiet, ok but the perfect interpretation of this song. I wish the original chorus would have sounded like yours! Hope to get your wave file of this track and hope to hear more of your PL covers!
I think the clean vocal arrangements make the track even more gothic, which is always welcome. As someone who prefers Nick's cleaner voice to his growls, this was pretty damn cool. Great job, man!
