Great ranking! I definitely agree with ya on The Mouse Trap, it's my top worst horror of the year as well! Afraid, Night Swim, Imaginary and Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood & Honey II (even though it was a bit better than the first one) are right behind it. The Mouse Trap is also my 2nd worst movie of this year in my book.

yaaawn..who cares, I'll vote for him a 4th straight time if I could...but thanks for sharing.
@@fisterhr And Thank you for commenting! Have you seen the movie?
@@Boogeymancinema nope, probably wouldn't want to. Hollywood and all liberal filmakers around the world think the world should work the way they imagine, not the way many voters do. Don't get me wrong, I was a big movie fan until like the mid 2000s around the time wokeism started to ruin movies. Now, if this movie is about how Roy Cohn influenced Trump, ok. I'll buy that. Was Cohn a bad guy? Well, if he was anything like James Woods depicted him in the movie "Citizen Cohn", then hell yes he was, but, you also have to take into consideration who Trump had to deal with and what he had to do to be successful or simply to get things done. He built buildings in the the finance capital of the world and that forced him to have to deal with criminal and 'legitimate' mobsters. The ones in the streets (Italian mob) and the ones holding public office. There really is no difference between both of them only that the ones holding public office use the law and its loopholes to get their way. They are also protected by the authorities. Those guys will eat you alive unless you have a special attitude to deal with them and at the same time gain respect. It's just the world of high level business, nothing personal. And like Chris Cuomo said not too long ago that Trump is not a nice guy. He is being hired by the American people to do a very difficult job and fight the establishment that is is destroying this country. That is why voters like myself voted for him.
Yeah i guess it's about perspective and not everything is black or white but rather there are shades to things even when it comes to trump. But this was more a review of the movie itself I don't really get into politics on here but I know that this movie was also made from a certain perspective and that is just something you have to have in mind when watching these kind of movies. But it was definitely entertaining though 🤣.
Great summary. --

CONGRATULATIONS MY FRIEND ON YOUR 100 SUBSCRIBER'S!!!🏆🏆🏆 Another great video! I would love to see you do a video exploring the indepth character traits of the stereotypical supporting characters and where their traits originated from. On a personal note, this was my 1st Foray into the Halloween genre. Literally, my dad told me he would watch this movie when he was doing the baby night shifts trying to get me to sleep.😊😂 When I eventually watched Halloween ( at a young age, that I probably shouldn't have watched it at, which I'm sure many of my fellow horrors fans did, too, if their being honest😂). This movie really left a long-lasting impression on me. I can still remember the huge shock that the killer was a child, and I get chills hearing the theme because it brings back all those thrills and chills. This movie is perfection in its creation and execution and is Iconic for many reasons one being on a small budget and limited means Carpenters poured his soul, heart and minds creativity into this and showed that an iconic horror movie can be created by simple means and live on forever! John Carpenter is a genius 🎃
@@Lizzie_3000Yeah its definitely a classic and very very rewatchable!
Ill watch It thru the year 2, 3, 4x a year, at night to fall asleep
@@raymondlin8728 So I guess you don't like it much?
Great video my friend! I haven't watched this movie yet but i have to ask does bringing the supernatural element to Art detract from how terrifying his character is? I'm asking because sometimes I feel some horror characters are so chilling because they are human and these acts could happen. For example when i 1st saw Jeepers Creepers I thought he was more scary until the revelation that he was a supernatural being, i still enjoyed the movie but it was less scarier after that for me 😺
It works here but it's a case of the creators not being sure themselves at first or feels like, the first one felt like it was just a man in s clown costume and that they weren't planning on more. But now ite basically that Art is a demon it seems like.
@@Boogeymancinema yeah I find it works if there's a good balance between the characters and the storyline
@@Lizzie_3000 There eqsxno story in the first basically 🤣 but it became better with 2 and 3.

if the studio was smart...this would of been the third movie... the second movie would of been author breaking out and going on a crime spree....and doing comic book joker stuff and getting lucky by not dying. Then the third movie would bring it all back down to reality , like this one did. Youre missing the "high" of being the joker persona. Also, he should of been killed by ricky rather than some unknown character.
@@itubeutubewealltube1 Yeah that would have been a good Idea! But I do think also that the director didn't actually want to make a sequel, it was the studio that wanted it after the first one made a billion. With those circumstances it turned out great.
@@Boogeymancinema crazy thing, they made the second movie pandering to that audience with him escaping, that movie would of made two billion dollars....then the third one would of been even more impactful... oh well... I always thought return of the jedi was better than empire myself, so I got what I wanted out of it.
@@itubeutubewealltube1 They could have also made a trilogy where every movie is s different version of joker and different background, like in most interpretations he has s different background nothing is set in stone. Except the acid background.
movie sucked. good visuals don't make up for bad choices.
I thought it was Great better than having it be a conventional sequel, this was never meant to be conventional instead it's a telling of the joker character and he himself usually gets and has different back stories or no backstory in both comics and movies/TV.

I have a few things to say. 1. His most highly rated horror movie is the vampire thriller 30 Days of Night. It came out much later than Faculty and 2.0. 2. You mixed up some of the details and left out others, both of which fill in what you say are plot holes. The real plot holes are part of the tone of the movie. 3. Now HERE’S the biggest problem with your review and you can see why if you read over your summary with a different perspective. The concept: A serial killer (chopped up 12 people in 7 years with #13 chained up in his basement ) treats his daughter to a pop star’s concert in an arena for 20,000 people where an FBI profiler has sent 6,293 SWAT teams to trap him inside. Stop right there. As M Knight always tells us: THINK while watching. The concept is preposterous. The antagonist is the protagonist. The firefighter and doting dad is actually The Butcher, a serial killer with a split personality. The plot: a cat and mouse game between a little gray-haired ole lady FBI profiler and a shrewd calculating killer with a really good cover. Are you catching on yet? Tone: With 116 improbabilities and periodic over the top acting by Hartnett we see-this is a spoof, a tongue-in-cheek parody of the serial killer thriller genre. (M Knight in promo interviews: This is unlike anything I’ve done before. How about combining a pop star concert like Taylor Swift with the hunt for a Hannibal Lecter serial killer? My daughter who’s a musician and I came up with the idea over dinner.) Go over your narration again. Do you see now how every point you make indicates this is a hilarious take on the genre? The merch guy, who’s been told not to say a thing about the sting, spills the beans to a total stranger. SWAT swoops down the road to the arena with everything but tanks. A mean girl in Riley’s class has hurt her feelings. During one of Cooper’s escape route attempts the girl’s mother bumps into him and holds him as a conversational hostage. That scene is 😂. Cooper’s cautious planning to escape the trap pays off with serendipitous improbability. Poor bumbling Jamie takes Cooper into a secure space to get a tee shirt for Riley. In there, Cooper charms the key card and the password out of him. Why is Cooper so endeared by Jamie? Because the dad has shown unusual virtue in letting another little girl get the last tee shirt on the table instead of his own daughter. M Knight’s dialogue brings its irony out in full force! Let’s skip forward a little. Cooper has discovered a sure way to escape. After manipulating the guy choosing the Dreamer, Riley and dad get to go backstage, the only sure way to get out of the place. For the next 20 minutes or so we see Cooper pull off so many Houdini moves and disguises our funny bones are breaking. Back at home, Cooper and Rachel sit down to eat a piece of pie where he tells her how she set him up and how pissed off he is because now he has to kill her and then himself and miss out on seeing his kids grow up. He takes off his shirt so he doesn’t get blood on it. He checks the door to the TUNNEL he’s made to move in and out to chop up a few people over the years. But alas, Rachel has put stuff in the pie and as he tries to run out, six SWAT guys and the little ole lady taser him 297 times. Undaunted, Cooper, with handcuffs in FRONT of him, stops to pick up his little boy’s bike. Six guards think nothing of this. Inside the van, Cooper unlocks the cuffs with a spoke he’s broken off the bike and laughs maniacally. But, hey, this isn’t the end scene. That one comes after the credits begin to roll. Lest the audience hasn’t been paying enough attention to know that this is an intentionally funny movie, he has Jamie see that nice dad Cooper is actually The Butcher and swears to “never talk to nobody ever again!” Notice I completely left out how Lady Raven gets Spencer unchained by her fan base. But this post is already too long. I do want to comment on the performances though. Josh Hartnett (excuse the pun) absolutely kills the role with shifts from cold-eyed seriousness to deadpan delivery to over the top expressions and movements. M Knight said he chose him because he knew he could pull off the quirkiness of the role. And boy does he! His daughter though, hate to disagree with you, is terribly miscast for an acting role. When her character becomes prominent, the film flattens. She’s pretty bad. Once out of the story, it gets back to itself. My husband and I had such a good time and such fun with this, we watched it twice! Go over your narration above again and see if you don’t “get it” now.😁
@@mgariepy42 I do get the movie, it's not to be taken seriously, and I know shyamalans dialogue is often stylized and has it own flavour. But in here i understand you set up a situation for a serial killer that he is trapped and set up by the police, but there's way to many "Coincidences" where you just have to look away from for the movie to work. I thought the movie was fun overall not as bad as many seem to think it is but it is wasn't one of his best either. You could basically take it apart by just saying that the police wouldn't go through all that work to catch him. Put on a fake concert, have everyone involved except for the crowd be in on it, instead of just sending a swat team to his location or hideout. I'm sure there are more efficient ways of catching the killer in the movie instead of organizing a fake concert. But of course the movie wouldn't be the same movie without that concept. And it's a shame the concept could have been on if his best with a few adjustments.
You miss my point. The “coincidences” are total improbabilities. The trope is intentional to carry the humor! The film is an elaborate split personality just like Cooper, both dramatic and comic. Watch some post-release interviews with Night. We love the novelty of this direction in his work. Other fans had other expectations and are disappointed and that’s ok too. There’s always going to be the great love it/hate it divide over his work. No worries. 😊
I know it is to make the movie fun, just put you in this situation without taking it to seriously, I just feel there could have been ways into the story to make it a bit better. I don't look for realism in movies but the storytelling has to kind of be good no matter what genres you play in. But it was definitely a fun movie! 😁@@mgariepy42

That is a great point! I do have hopes though because the director has done some good horror movies before. And he started out with doing horror shorts. One they became popular is lights out and became a feature!
I love you analysis of the blair witch project, this movie is one of my favourite films. The suspense and terror is so subtle at first but grows and never lets up. I always felt that heather got a reprieve from the witch because she fixed the grave marker josh knocked over. I saw unused footage where heather says sorry for withholding key information from mike and josh about the witch. They where so ill prepared and i felt the witch grew more emboldened with each night that passes. The scene where the tent is attacked had me in terror when i first watched it. Added to this the recording of the kids was terrifying. I enjoyed the 2016 film, it was brutal in places, the witch/ disfigured heather chasing lisa and the group was horrifying.
Yeah it's a really creepy movie! One of the movies that actually scared me and it still feels unsettling, nothing has ever replicated that for me! And I'm glad you enjoyed the video!

The fact the witch kept the woods in permanent darkness at the end was a clever idea.
@@daleyseaton9426 Yeah it definitely was a good expansion on the mythology! I think there's so much there that make the movie creepy, but usually I see people saying "nothing happens" it's more cerebral than just jump scares and showing things full front. If it was made in a conventional way it would not be as scary at all!
@@Boogeymancinema the problem today is people have been fed a diet of increasingly complex cgi which whilst adding shock value dims a person's imagination. The 1999 film gave us a discription of the witch, she floats wears a woollen shawl and covered in black hair, we also get told she can shapeshift changing into mist, we see mist a few times in the film and in my mind that was the witch. Can I ask what's your favourite mythology about the Witch
@@daleyseaton9426 exactly! I liked how the movie gives you the mythology through interviews with townspeople, then step by step things that were mentioned happen during the movie. Also the 2016 adding that the witch controls time, so that's why you get lost and it's impossible to get out, a very hopeless situation, grim and I like that about it.
I’m not a huge fan of this franchise but I enjoyed my time watching this one. Will Smith and Martin Lawrance are great, and the action was full of energy. The humour was more miss than hit for me but four movies into this franchise and they’re still delivering crowd pleasers. Great review
Thank you! Yeah this was way to predictable, I think these are fun usually but the Story was just exactly what you expect scene to scene, no surprises.
