      @@retiredonthefarm965 Yes is the short answer for buying it again. There are others having similar problems, however they are getting resolved. Slowly, but they are getting resolved 👍 Distance for me on a charge varies with how I use it. Wide open on the back roads in these mountains, I'm looking at roughly 35 - maybe 40 miles per charge. Work around the property averaging maybe 2 miles a day, I can probably get that 60 miles they claim. I'm well into two weeks between charges and I've still got 35 to 40 percent charge when I plug in. This machine works well for me doing day to day chores and the occasional wide open trip to the dumpster. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching ✌️

It seems that electric should have less problems but clearly in the auto industry the numbers show far more. Hey Rex, My problems are continuing similar to yours. I've had a continuing problem with an overheating controller as well as the key fob not activating the starter, and now, not accepting a charge. My conversations with customer service were sketchy, at best, to start but I was eventually transferred to Omar who has been addressing issues in a timely manner. As we progressed, like you have noted, there was no service available in SW Colorado so now I am also on the list for the technician to come here. Like you, my issues are approaching 3 months and like you, I have to roar around on the old Arctic Cat rather than hum on the Kandi. Again, like you, I would like a lower gear. I think that is why the controller is overheating. I, too, would buy it again because I'm confident that the issues will be addressed, I'm told that 'patience is a virtue'. @@DrJeff-iq7dk Good morning.... So, I haven't done a range test yet because of varying factors. Like a car.... it depends on how you drive it. On my back roads, averaging 35 mph, up and down long steep grades. It looks like I would only get 35 - 40 miles out of the cowboy. But when I'm tooling around the property doing work, I get 50 - 60+ miles from a charge. Those speeds are a lot slower.... under 15 mph and not sustained for long periods of time. That's averaging 2 miles a day, I go two weeks between charges and I've got around 40% battery when I hook up. Your conditions and habits will be different than mine most likely. Hello New Hampshire... Snow plow, good question. I know you can put a blade on it yes. I've seen a dealer do a little TH-cam video on it, but there isn't any mention of performance. The only frame of reference I would have is towing. I've pulled 1,700 pounds up my gravel road which is in places is 11° (or roughly 17%) and it's done fine. So.... I could only imagine that it would have no problem with any type of lite duty snow plowing. That I would love to try but we haven't had any measurable snow in two years. I know this doesn't really answer your question but I hope it helps. Thanks for watching ✌️

    I had to tow mine about a quarter mile when it went down. Didn't go over 15 mph with it and it did fine. Neutral - Forward and Reverse. Rugged suspension. Comparable to the Ranger. Do the rear wheels turn independently when turning? Or, is it a locked rear differential? How easy is it to access the 12V battery and put a trickle charger on it? Any change in performance in cold weather? Thanks for all the videos and your time. I really appreciate what you're doing. Have a great day!

    • @thekingrexway
      @thekingrexway 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jasonlang2341 It's independent, not positive traction. Mine had several screws to take out before you could get the hood off. So... that was annoying when having to perform service. I just leave my screws out now and the hood stays in place just fine. I believe the newer models have an actual latch now. I did not notice any lack of performance during the winter. Even with a week of single digits. It will charge slower in the cold, but I made an effort to have it charged before the extra cold days arrived. What problems was your Kandi having when the high voltage control box went bad? Was it just not turning on at all, was it having issues driving? Curious what symptoms a bad high voltage control box would cause

      Good information. I bought a Kandi cowboy at an auction for $5k and it had some problems that were difficult to diagnose. Thankfully my father in law also bought one that was ready to go at the same auction and we used his to trouble shoot mine. Two main issues it was having was it wouldn’t charge (ended up being a cable under the hood that was plugged in on mine and not on his that somehow prevented mine from charging. How that makes sense I don’t know but apparently this connection isn’t necessary and will actually prevent charging from initiating if the cable is plugged in). Second issue was little or no power when in drive mode. Turns out this was motor controller problems and had to replace the front motor controller which fixed the issues. I still think my Kandi is underpowered or struggles when put under a heavy load (attempting full throttle when climbing a hill or starting out on an incline) but it functions well enough I can use it for getting around on our farm. Keep the videos coming!

  • @ChrisRiley3D-Everything
    @ChrisRiley3D-Everything 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Pulling the hill one time is not the issue. can it pull that hill all day long back to back till the battery is drained or does it over heat and shut down and go into protection mode after about the fifth time. Even some high dollar name brand machines have this problem but not all. and for it not to have a low gear! hahahaha i can see where it might have a place for some people but not for someone who trail rides a lot on big hills or pulls a heavy load all day like on a farm. i do think it's cool though but i also think most of the time you get what you pay for and as you say it's cheap.

      @@ChrisRiley3D-Everything Good morning Chris... Check out my other videos. I live in the mountains, so yes, every move I make in this machine is either up or down hill. It does the job that I ask it to do. Yes, a lower gear would be nice for extra pulling and going down hill with a load. But like anything else... you learn how to use your tool to get the best results. I don't believe I ever used the word cheap. This machine is very well built. Doesn't look like your area has any hills so you should be good to go. Thanks for watching ✌️

    I've had my Cowboy for about 6 months and I agree with you. I am very satisfied with it. It goes everywhere I want to go on my ranch. It will not go up the side of a mountain but that is not what i bought it for. I also think the biggest improvement would be to have a low gear, but for the price this machine can't be beat. Reggie came out to do a flash fix on the 12 volt battery staying charged when the machine is not operating. Great guy and that little problem was sloved.
