1958 Genco Space Age Complete Restoration with Game Adjustments
I loved this game. I love these old arcade channels. I had forgotten so many of them. Thank you for posting.
This is a different version of an old-timer electro mechanical badeball arcade game machine.
Hi Kevin do you know where I can get the correct Suspension spring for one of these clocks as the one I have has broken and I am struggling to find the correct one thanks
Better tech in this thing than my car lol
Hey! What's the weight capacity for the R360?
250lbs
Wow! What an amazing machine! I’ve never seen one in person. Totally appreciate the technology involved with it. Nice restore and thanks for posting!
This electro mechanical arcade game machine is still a perfect ideal for Halloween nights. Would you dare bring it with you to a Halloween party? Even Exidy's 1986 video arcade game machine called Chiller is definitely the perfect ideal for a Halloween party. 👻 🎃 👻 🥳 🎉 🪅 🎊 🍺 🍻 🥳 🎮 🥌 🏑 🎲 🎴 🏀 🎮 📹 🎥 📻 📸 🎮 🕹 📹 🥰 💞 👌 🙌 😍 👏 🥰
Absolutely incredible.
That's awesome!!! Great work on game! Can new rolls of target paper still be ordered a half century later?
no one is reproducting the rolls yet, but I have 5 NOS full rolls that I bought awhile ago, which will far outlast my need for targets.
@ Nice! Love your videos! I do regular building maintenance however, nothing as intricate as fixing an old game. I just find it so interesting!
I love this mechanics of this.
I was like… “how do you actually win”… love this.
My brain keeps reading it as Benny Hill, lol. Thanks for the video, nice game!
Thanks for the video, great arcade! I got the link from your website, good stuff!
Now that's a nice machine, great job! I love all the sound effects for something that old, I would have played it just for that, lol. BTW, cool website, lots of super cool arcade games!
Thanks! Nice game restoration!
Try using left trail only
Fantastic !!!
No entiendo como es. Son hologramas las motos?
Wonderful machine
what are you really choosing to do here? like, there's no wheel right? so are buttons being pressed to decide which clip to play? i don't understand how they made this game
there is a steering wheel and accelerator pedal. the goal is to follow the featured car with the steering wheel within a time limit. if your steering wheel is not following the car, the machine will beep and your time will be deducted rapidly. the accelerator pedal speeds up the footage.
or maybe i'm wrong. there's a point system, which becomes higher as you go farther in the track. if your steering wheel is not following the car, it's your points that will be deducted, not your time. if you beat the high score, you get an extra replay (you get to play more of the game)
Where did you get your hands on a Nik O Lok restroom lock? I’ve been looking for years. From my understanding the only way to get a new one is to lease one from the Nik O Lok company. Finding one on EBay is rare.
ebay, many years ago...
Absolutely insane!!! I can't remember this beautiful machine, but WoW!!
Hey Kev! How did you move the SEGA R360 cabinet into your shop? It's like 2'200 pounds.
The R360 main cabinet does have four industrial quality casters underneath it and believe it or not on flat level concrete one person can push it around
The one I own ..The small digital screen mounted on my pcb is flashing a code 785. I’m not sure what this means. I’m new to the hobby needing help As the race starts my car will not move I can’t select a track either. Not sure the problem.
Hi Kevin! I was going through some papers and came across the business card you gave me (probably the last time I visited your place) and decided to go to your website... it was fun to see all your fun projects and didn't realize you had a youtube channel until I saw it on your website. Gotta stop by again some time as see what you're up to now!
Thank you. I found a punched paper roll at the thrift, and after some digging I found references to a 7 column paper roll being used to control this game. Seeing the inside has confirmed it. I have a roll from one of these.
had this at Nunley's in Baldwin NY
Thank you for archiving this!
Thank you so much for archiving this fascinating machine.
❤
The sky was the limit back then with respect to arcade game ride machines. I have never seen on of these in the wild (I looked far and wide). I would imagine most arcade operators balked at its cost,, safety issues, and limited appeal to mass audiences. After playing a few games in one of these, I would think most people would lose their lunch. Plus it looks like a literal gyroscope like the ones that astronauts trained on. One of the potential problems is something called gimbal lock. Basically if a gyroscope is turned in certain ways, the gyro will literally lock up. I wonder it this was a potential problem with the R360.
Didn't you already upload this one from 3 years ago, Mr. Keinert?
yes, but I deleted the account it was uploaded to, so I reposted it here
@@KevinKeinert Oh okay.
PHUCKIN TROLL!
I inherited this model from my dad. We are about to move it upstairs - can you tell me what I need to secure to protect the mechanism? We removed the records. It is having issue with picking up and ejecting selections
Excellant video, what a mechanisum, is it reliable being mainly pneumatic.
I finally got around to restoring my ITR Clock, mine is identical to this one. I spent numerous hours and took many pictures while disassembling the time mechanism. I cleaned each individual piece and inspected it for wear. It was a daunting task to resemble the mechanism. It took me around 14 to 18 hours to resemble and I do not care to ever try again, however, I have another one to restore. I enjoyed your video it will help me to make some final adjustments.
Very cool!

Never seen this before, brilliant idea. A modern version would be great.
How very cool! I have no interest in getting one, but I would love to see more detail on the restoration process.
I wish they'de still make these styles of mechanical games. they were really fun and the inginuity that went into them was very impressive.
Great post I have the same one but the jackpot does not fill up any advice ?
You can see where hang on and road rash got their inspiration. And the way the rod lifts your bike up when you lose a life (thats how i perceived this footage atleast). That reminds me of mario kart when you get placed back on track by the ghost/boo/whatever it is.
Sega brought back the R360!for their Transformers arcade game; it’s called the R360Z, which can now handle two players..
I have one in my bar!
One of the coolest games from my teens. Someday I will find one to add to my game room.
Are you able to digitize the film before these goes ridden and lose colors?
I don't have the equipment to digitize the film, but someone probably does
Hey thanks for the video! I also have this game. The game turns on but gives me a black and white screen and says cancelled and the bottom of the screen. I'm thinking it might be the power supply. The game will go into test mode. Do you have any suggestions. Much appreciated.
I also follow your video. All the boards are working properly like they should.
That likely means networking cancelled, either due to bad cables, missing network board or a single player machine is set to multiplayer as a master or slave car. Use the service menu to set the Link ID to 'no link' to see if the game will start. The settings are stored on the IO board, so if that board is swapped then the settings will swap. Sometimes the settings on the IO board will also become corrupted.
@@licksweets I agree, after re-reading the problem, yes it sounds like it's waiting for the other cars to link up 👍
This was the issue thank you so for the help!!
Hi what kind of monitor is in that?
it's a regular monitor with a giant Fresnel Lens over the top of it.
No-nose Nolan and Big Al 😁 Thanks for sharing. Love the art style on 70s Atari machines.
my question is: How did he lose his nose? !!!
First thing I'd do is to disconnect that damn solenoid. BTW, is the monitor mounted flat in the cabinet with a Fresnel lens in between?
yes, it has a giant Fresnel lens mounted about 18" above the monitor. The monitor is laying down inside the cabinet
