Hi. Does this sander make a nightmare mess of sand? What does the tube attached do? I hate sanding because of the mess it leaves everywhere. Also, what do you use for sanding between paint for example, on chalk paint. Another one of my biggest nightmares. But I absolutely do not like all of the brushstrokes that are left from chalk, paint and brushes. Therefore, sanding is a must for me. Help! Do you have any recommendation on how to avoid the sanding mess and dust nightmare?
Hi Betty! Thanks for asking. No it doesn’t make much of a mess when it is attached to a vacuum. They do have their own vacuum and attachments which I would recommend rather than doing what I did. I used a regular shop vacuum which creates more wires and tubes. That is what leaves more of hassle. With that said, look into the whole setup. You can use this sander for in between, going down to bare wood and finishing. Love it for details as well. They have pads for all.
