If the line is to rusty for you to remove filter a cheap and easy fix is to cut back a ways from filter. You can cut out the bad section. Then get a new bit of line and thread it in,leaving enough line to put a gas line rubber hose on. If you use the old line make sure to clean it up first.
I have a question about the fuel pump, any way to test it before taking out the pump
Looks like you got the wrong pump. There are pumps that have two plug ins, and then there's one that they sell that has one.
Your a fun idiot change the filter
use fuel line with pressure fittings instead of hose clamps. much better and won't risk getting a leak.
