    18:50 3 parts, the first part reflects his sadness in a slow depressing way. The middle part is where chopin looks back in time, good times, until intrusive thoughts comes in and he tries to fight it and it goes out of control. Those thoughts is his sadness, his true state. The third part is him absolutely dreading his life, he is suffering and is screaming through the piano of pain of sadness.

    Wow man thank you for taking the suggestion!! You're the most amazing reactor, you actually take your time to listen carefully to the piece and try to understand it, you can read music, you know your bit of music history and your reactions are honest. You deserve millions of subscribers!! On another note, I understand why you're more of a Mozart lover, he's a personal favorite of mine as well. Mozart was overall a better composer than Chopin, especially when you realize Chopin basically only wrote for piano, while Mozart could write music for any given instrument, potentially even for a plastic bottle. But even just with his piano, Chopin was a great melodist like Mozart (there's countless beautiful long melodies in his music), a rhythmic innovator (because of his Polish, more eastern influenced culture), and most of all he's daring harmonically, in ways that Mozart and Beethoven simply couldn't think of yet. A lot of his later music gets more and more ambigous with tonality, and some of it you could say is atonal, a century before Schönberg. Plus, there's not a Chopin piece that sounds like the other, and all of his music is original and uniquely Chopinesque. If you want to listen to a longer and deeper piece of his next, I suggest his Ballade n.4 played by Zimerman (both the live version for you to see him play, or the recorded version to see the sheet music). It's one of the greatest pieces of music ever written, and as a musicologist wrote, it contains the universe in only 10 minutes. It's transcendental music and i'm sure you will enjoy it

      I understand what you’re saying, but I don’t believe writing for different instruments necessarily makes someone a better composer. To me, Chopin is just as important, innovative, influential and brilliant as Mozart and Beethoven. Chopin transformed music in ways that often go underappreciated particularly in harmony. He expanded harmonic language with larger, more intricate chords, daring modulations and progressions, and a freedom in phrasing and structure that was groundbreaking, and also made melodies in music even more expressive and free thanks to all different aspects I will talk about. What’s often overlooked is how much of a precursor Chopin was to jazz. If you really dig into his work, it becomes clear that he laid the foundation for many elements that would later become central to jazz music. His harmonic structures, use of syncopation, and rhythmic experimentation all hint at the roots of jazz, and he became a key influence on later composers like Debussy, who in turn influenced Ravel. Both of these composers played significant roles in shaping early jazz, and it all circles back to Chopin’s innovations. You can see more about this in videos like “Was Chopin Jazz?” where his contributions are analyzed in depth. Chopin also completely reimagined song structure and phrasing. Before him, music often followed rigid rules to avoid anything that might be considered unconventional or strange. He wasn’t afraid to break these boundaries and take music somewhere new. His use of polyrhythms and complex rhythms was ahead of its time, adding layers of depth that weren’t common in earlier compositions. On top of all that, Chopin revolutionized piano technique and music, pushing both the instrument and its players to new heights. So, in my opinion, Chopin is just as influential as Mozart or Beethoven, not because of how many instruments he wrote for or how many pieces he composed, but because of how much he pushed music forward. Both composers left their mark in different ways, and Chopin’s impact is just as significant.

    • @jonathan130
      @jonathan130 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      To add: while complexity isn’t everything, it shows a composer’s ability to push musical boundaries. It’s not just about difficulty, but how much a composer can do within the music. For example, purely musically, no piece before Chopin matches the intricate complexity of his *Ballade No. 4*. In terms of harmony, structure, and emotional depth and so on, it surpasses anything before it. Though Chopin isn’t known for counterpoint or orchestration like Bach or Beethoven, his harmonic sophistication and much more is unmatched. What sets him apart is his ability to make that complexity sound natural and incredibly beautiful. He combined technical mastery with emotional expression, creating music that’s as intricate as it is deeply moving.

      @@jonathan130 I agree with most of what you said, and I never implied differently than 99% of your comment argues. I do love Chopin too and indeed I do find him as important, influential, daring and original as Mozart in music history. That's what I said too in shorter sentences. I never made the point of his music being too complex or not harmonically advanced enough, I never said he's a second-rate composer. On the contrary, I said just like you that he messed with harmony in ways Mozart and Beethoven couldn't think of yet, but that's the big word, YET. If Mozart and Beethoven could have paradoxically lived after themselves in the romantic period, they too would have been more daring with harmonies and more free with form (in fact, they were both becoming so in the late years of their lives); and, just the same, if Chopin lived 50-100 years earlier, he would have been more "mainstream" with harmony and form. Everything has its context, and no one is raised completely unbiased by culture: what I mean to say is that Chopin's music wouldn't be possible without Mozart and Beethoven, without Mendelssohn, Weber, Schumann and Hummel, without Czerny, Bellini and John Field. That's to mean you can't measure a composer's ability by the grade of harmonical fantasy present in their works. If you follow that standard, you wouldn't be wrong in saying Schönberg was the greatest composer of all time (definitely one of the most influential for sure). And that's where only I disagree with you, I still think Mozart is the better composer. And it's not just a matter of choice of instruments, even though that alone demonstrates a greater knowledge of musical colour and timbre, that's just as important as melody, harmony and rhythm for a composer. Plus, it shows the ability to conceive music more abstractly, able to adapt to any instrument (the greatest example of it being the Art of the Fugue by Bach). What Mozart did with the clarinet for example, writing some of the most beautiful scores for it after only a few years from its invention, would have been a hard task for Chopin. He could only conceive music from the sound of the piano, the most beautiful music you can ever imagine of, but always in the monotone sound of the piano. Picture a painter that can paint anything but only in black and white. My other argument for Mozart being the better composer, is he could compose well both in freer forms of music like fantasies and more standardized forms like symphonies and sonatas. Mozart composed masterpieces in ANY genre of music available to him at his time, from concertos for any instrument to opera, from chamber music in all of its forms (he wrote some of the greatest trios, quartets, quintets, partitas and double-instrument sonatas) to songs, from masses to piano sonatas. Again, it shows a greater ability at adapting abstract music to any form and any instrument. He would have written great ballades and nocturnes too if he was born just a few years later, whereas Chopin KNEW he could have never written quartets as good as the past ones, or operas, or symphonies, or the concertos (with which he tried out of need in his early years, but soon letting the idea down), that's why he had to stick to freer, smaller forms like waltzes and nocturnes, more romantically patriotic forms like Mazurkas and Polonaises, and rarely "new" or revisited forms like ballades and scherzos. Again, the context is key: Mozart's culture was the one to write music under payment, whatever they asked for; it was required from a composer to be able to write anything on demand. Chopin on the other hand earned most of his money from students, and would write music more just for himself, and a few close people. He was never required to engage into bigger forms of music, therefore never developing a true ability for it. Which one do I subjectively prefer? Chopin. Which one is objectively a better composer, more 'agile', more musically knowledgeable, more adaptative, more flexible, with wider possibilities of expression? Mozart.

    • @jonathan130
      @jonathan130 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@fedegwagwa Most of what you said felt like babbling and opinions without really addressing Chopin's true genius and importance. One thing that stood out was your claim that Mozart had a greater knowledge of musical color and timbre, and you compared it to Chopin only painting in black and white. First of all, you can’t directly compare music to painting because music is made of 12 notes, not billion shades of colors. I personally find the piano to be the most beautiful, colorful and alive instrument of all. You can create so much with just one instrument, but with one clarinet, or one cello, you cannot, it will sound good but not as close to the personality, deepness and ability of the piano. A more accurate comparison would be if Chopin wrote dull, mediocre music without his melodic genius-something like background music you'd find on TH-cam. But Chopin’s music is some of the most colorful of his time, even more so than Mozart’s, and he achieved all of that with just one instrument: the piano. Also chopin wasn’t interested in whatever you said, he was the piano man, and it doesn’t take away the fact that he was a genius and even more so musically than mozart. He took the piano-an instrument with inherent-and broke through those limits, making it sing in ways no one had before. Yes, he drew inspiration from composers like Hummel and Field, but every artist needs inspiration. What makes Chopin unique is how he elevated those influences and took them to an entirely new level. He created revolutionary textures and melodies and even sounds, adding layers of color and timbre that no one had done before and that was only one one instrument, and his use of the pedal was groundbreaking. To suggest his music lacks color or variety is nonsense. Purely in terms of musical richness and expression, Chopin’s works are more colorful than anything Mozart wrote. Of course, if either had lived longer, they might have explored more. The same goes for Chopin-if he had lived longer, he likely would’ve written symphonies and continued revolutionizing music. But that’s irrelevant to what they actually accomplished in their lifetimes. From a historical standpoint, Chopin contributed just as much to music as Mozart. You also seem to underestimate how large the world of piano music is, and how much Chopin influenced not only piano but also jazz and other branches of music. Do you really think jazz musicians care much about Mozart? I constantly see Chopin being discussed in these circles more so than mozart. Mozart is just better regarded in the world of classical music, before the romantic era. Most people today would admire chopins music more. Listen to his *Études*-pieces like *Wrong Note*, *Black Keys*, *Torrent*, *Winter Wind*, and many more. Or his *Preludes*, like the one in F-sharp minor. His *Polonaises*, like the *Grande Polonaise*, contain a section more energetic and moving than anything Mozart ever wrote. These few pieces of many are nothing like that have been composed before, and much more colorful, expressive, genius and so many groundbreaking music ideas than anything Mozart wrote. Chopin’s style is so colorful, unique, and emotionally charged. And one more random thing i have in mind-Chopin could write terrifying and intense music like no one before him. Have you heard the coda in his *Ballade No. 2*? Or the deep, depressive loneliness in his *Mazurka Op. 17 No. 4* and *Prelude in E Minor*? These pieces, and so many more, are far more emotionally powerful and expressive than anything Mozart wrote, pure musically. While you may connect more with orchestral music than piano, purely in terms of musical complexity and emotional depth, Chopin is superior, and his contributions to music are just as significant as Mozart’s. Therefore they are as great composers.

You should listen to his Nocturne op. 48 n.1, his 4 ballades (played by Zimerman), the Barcarolle, the Berceuse, the prelude n.16 or the n.24. i gave you a like and sub without even finishing the video because i always support people who are small.maybe instead of a hard kill and interrupt let the music continue until another part of the song starts and use a fade out until you talk about it.and what you did well is the volume differences.you can maybe try to play the guitar to it when you finished you react part.playing the guitar cold start together to the song without looking it up and practicing .it would add some interesting aspect.you are welcome.

    If you want atmosphere, try the albums Pale Emperor or Mechanical Animals. I doubt you'll get many views for this content but they are worthwhile for your own time.

      manson reactions are up due to the last 2 singles, other songs would get clicks.

      @@DeadDollDonor_ perhaps. It's sad too because most of his stuff is excellent. But the shock part of it runs off a lot of would be fans consumed with image.

      In my calculation, that is 85 meter and 47 cm per beat! Unbelievable! ( 85.47 m / b ) * ( 195 bpm ) = ( 16 667 m ) / ( 60 s ) = 277.78 m / s = 1000 km / h.

    Midori meilleure guitariste ? Soyez juste ! Midori the best guitarist? Miyako, through hard work, has more than caught up with Midori... which she accepts. And... without wishing to devalue the others... Miyako composed this masterpiece! And many others that are the stuff of Lovebites legend... And I don't want to ‘forget’ Miho, who co-wrote the other part of the legend with Mao... Be fair!

      @@guitaristreacts You are in luck. Miyako has her own channel on YT called "Miyako Official Channel" and 3 of her latest videos feature how she composes & arranges her songs for Lovebites. She did it in 3 parts : * th-cam.com/video/zODuQZ0Ka6k/w-d-xo.html (Part 1) * th-cam.com/video/3kC474aoz_E/w-d-xo.html (part 2) * th-cam.com/video/4Olgz7o5IUo/w-d-xo.html (part 3)
