Friend, do you have more photos of the installation, you used the hole that the chacis already had, thank you
I will see about taking some pictures but it is a bolt on installation.
Good stuff...Looks great! Did you need to buy extender harnesses for the fog lamps, or did they reach over to the center okay?
They reached without an issue!
I have the same light bar but I do not have the key on an off wire that plugs to the wiring harness which will cause the lights on the switch to stay on leading to a dead battery. I have tried to find that wire that you add on to the bottom of the bus bar but can’t find it. Please help? Thanks for the great video.
So you upgraded tires but bought used wore out ones?? Center treads look so wore i sure hope you dont get icy or snow where you live
So good catch on the tires. At the time I did this, tires were in high demand and extremely overpriced. I picked up some takeoffs. They had quite a bit more tread than you could notice in the video. I'm actually in the process of replacing them. No snow or ice and I took these out to the desert where we Off-road and they actually worked great at a low psi, they were just a cheap temporary fix.
@wernergarage7078 ya I didn't look where you were from and my first thought since I'm from Canada was those will be fun in the winter...lol. Looks nice though ✌️
@@Lefishn haha yeah for sure, they actually had more tread than you could see on video... they are done know and debating between BFG's or Toyos
Not a big deal at all. Like with any rear wheel drive vehicle, you'd only have to be concerned with ramp conditions especially using bunk-style trailers in a tidal area with slick ramps.
Launched our boat with our motorhome all the time. No big deal if you take your time..
Exactly!!! When I posted a pic of me not launching but just towing our boat on an RV forum people lost their minds 🤣🤣
@@wernergarage7078 You can tell you know what you are doing and do a great job. Some people just don't know how to back with their mirrors. Good job..
@jimg2885 thanks man! In full disclosure, my dad had me driving a 34' rv towing a 20' boat on private roads at 14 😎! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I believe the tow length is from the front of the tow vehicle to the rear of the trailer NOT the rear of the boat or drives so basically the taillights at about 5:18 of your video
Thanks Mike! I was curious about the measurement, so that definitely gives me some extra room to be under the limit! 👍
@@wernergarage7078 btw is that an Allante or a Precept?
@@espritmike 2016 precept 29UR (bunkhouse)
Great job. You see motorhomes towing big boats and large race or toy hauler trailers in California all the time. I have been doing it for over 30 years and actually have been over legal length many times. To the river with a boat and PWCs in the summer and to Glamis with a sandrail and quads in the winter. No issues at all except for a blown trailer tire every so often. Have fun and be safe!
Thanks, I agree no big deal! So many people had commented they couldn't believe I was pulling the boat with the RV so figured would show how easy it is... have fun stay safe out there!
Take the 3 feet of extensions off the impact lol
That's what we had sitting around and wanted to clear the coil over...😎
You highly recommend?
So far so good! It has been solid with no issues. Can't beat it for the price.
Can i ask approx how much this mod cost? Looks great and id love to do the same.
So I picked up the Rubican shocks and springs used for just a few hundred dollars. The front leveling kit is from Rough country and was about $100 and the rear spacers were about $150 so you could put everything together for less than $500 if you do the install yourself.
Who made swim platform?
So it was a company called Alumifab Marine, I have more details about it in the video below: th-cam.com/video/z8SwJD56duk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=FHXmkh8M2lMBO3wF
I wanted to hear about your belt temps and how you like the Razerback unit. Please share or do another video.
The blower system works well but it does draw some power and if the power goes down it does block airflow so you need to make sure your power system is up to the task when your running all your accessories! When running all my lights it can draw to much power. I have had to manage the power usage but it works well when I don't run everything all at once.
Great video! Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks for watching! Hope it was helpful!
Did that tpr valve cover install ever come out ?
Soon, it has a bunch of other parts at the same time, finishing up some summer projects but will post that video soon!
I’m installing mine just need help on where to cut and add the coolant return on the hose
@@dodgerchvy6 if you give Greg at TPR a call he can help clarify where you cut. Unfortunately I will not have the video up for a few weeks.
did you add a new adjustable track bar or new control arms with this lift or did it run fine with stock components ?
Totally fine with stock components, rides great and has no issues!
@@wernergarage7078did it also sit level front and back with the icon rear spacer or would you recommend doing the daystar 3/4 rear spacer instead to level it out ?
It's sits fairly level for me, keep in mind the rear springs are for the max tow, front springs are rubicon (which raises the front up a bit over the S)
would have to mount it higher down here in the south because all the water we drive through
Thanks for posting the review,I'm going to be ordering one for my sportsman xp1000 very soon,I've seen a bunch of RZR guys posting positive feedback so I feel pretty confident taking the plunge.
The video helped me out a lot. Did the wood with the cut out as well! Can am sitting on all new 30 inch tires now, thanks for the post!!
Great video! So me tapping into the buss bar just for whips will be fine? Do I need a fuse somewhere in between? TIA
Yep, you should be good! I would still fuse the whips just to be safe. Thanks for watching.
@@wernergarage7078 thanks for the quick response! What size of fuse do you recommend and where should I put it ? TIA
Hello, Are you interested in testing our products? We would like to invite you to test the Side Windows Net for your Can Am X3 Max(if your car year is 2017-2023)
Hi, thank you for the offer. We no longer have any can am X3 Max in our group.
@@wernergarage7078 Hello, thank you let me know.
@@wernergarage7078 Hello, ok, thank you let me know
What's the name of the 2 piece you took off?
Not sure which your referring to, the part that I took off or the old roof I removed?
Looks like the jeep is a max tow. Do you think the rubi springs alone up front will level it with the rear at stock height?
I think so but not 100% sure.
You have a link for this?
factoryutv.net/products/can-am-maverick-x3-dual-clamp-spare-tire-mounts
Hey on the rear tail lights wires witch one out of the three can i use for turn signal
Hi Juan, I have not installed turn signals so I am not sure. Sorry I could not be more help.
Use washers first ,to test the seat hight then cut the spacers.
That's a good way to do it. I decided to cut them proportionately as I wanted adjustability for different drivers but the washer method can really customize it to the specific driver
Would a 2X4 stack work or would it be too narrow/unstable under the jack?
It could but you will need to notch it in the center so it is more stable
Hello, we are a manufacturer from Maiker. We would like to talk with you about more details. How can I contact you?
Great review. Looking for a compressor that is portable and can fill my high pressure truck and trailer tires. This may be the ticket
Thanks for watching. I've had it for a few years now and it works awesome!
Great job🤘
Wow, you ve got a really well-made rzr👍. Like the way you take care of it. Greetings from Russia (14' sportsman 800)
Thanks for the comment! 👍
what do you think about the suspension on the rzr compared to the x3
Oh man great question. So to be fair my XPTS is fairly modified with long travel boxed arms and has Fox podium shocks. My X3 was an XRS with stock arms and better fox podiums with shock therapy springs AND was a 4 seater. The 2 seater to 4 seater comparison is huge and kind of skews by experience as I have only driven a 2 seater X3 a could times. They are both great cars and both suspensions are good, the RZR seems to need a bit more speed in the whoops to get it on step but I think that could be the wheelbase...
Awesome non-riding stuff. The plane and paragliders were cool.
Awesome video I had been looking for a day now before seeing yours. All I wanted to know was how to hook my whip lights to my bus bar! And now the location 😂and you showed all the ways.Thank you.
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching!
How do you know how many PSI you have added when you don't have a gauge showing?
So on the model I have the psi is shown on the remote control. It will show the set psi per side you select and it will show real time the psi as it fills.
Great Job 🤘🤘
Thanks!! Buddy!
What air filter set up is that
I believe it is the dragon fire racing. It was red but I stripped it back to bare aluminum. I don't think they are around any more but it's similar to a ump.
Do you think going with a 2inch spacer in the rear would have it to high I have a factory bumper to Oh its a sport s by the way
So mine is the sport "tow package" model. It does use a different rear spring from than the normal sports. It might be a bit taller and since I'm running a 1.38 spacer with that "possibly" taller spring a 2" could work. Keep in mind I also put the rubicon springs up from along with the leveling kit which the rubicon springs are definitely taller than the sport. If the max tow package spring is taller than yours and you do the rubicon front springs you are probably good.
Better do the Pinion nut upgrade in the rear end. I had to replace mine with a entire assembly.
Yeah wish I would have as it's a little late now as she is back together and posting the video soon, good news is pulling the motor is not bad.
Great kit only problem the clips fall the cable, so what I did is put a small piece shrink tubing over the cable slipped the clip in and hit with my heat guy. Now they never fall out and get lost. I can do a belt change in less than 10 minutes and I never lose the clips.
Great idea!!
Also it’s 200a x ~13.3v so you actually get even more overall energy/watts with the extra volt or so
Exactly, love this setup!
😱 'Promosm'
Why not just remove the the cover you cut hole in
Sorry which cover are you referring to?
@@wernergarage7078 wire cover
Awesome buggy, I did the Polaris 400 motor swap into it ..an my kids were in heaven. Shock upgrades.. radio,, Best buggy they ever had.. I would do it all over again if I had the chance. they were so happy. Swap was even to hard.. getting used to the extra power an having those little brakes stop the buggy,, that was the hard part..lol
Wow that's Awesome!! My kids really enjoyed it but my daughter just our grew it and now we are finishing up a RZR 800 build to replace the Joyner. They are a great first car for sure!!!
What’s the Part # or where did you buy it? I can’t find that specific Bumper.
This is the EAG part number JJKFB009 . looks like Amazon is out of stock on it right now, it could be on EBay or possibly other retailers
That was a big mistake. For one, I don't know why people pack the roof and bring spare tire in the dunes.. it make the sxs top heavy and when I saw you force yourself over that lip, I knew you were goin over. Sandrails can do that but not SXS...
So my car had nothing on the roof mine was very low profile, we had 3 X3's on that ride. That mistake was part of me being timid... I had an eye issue going on (ended up having surgery to correct) it was also that time of day... if I would have hit the transition like I normally do it would have been fine. But great lesson to stay on your game in the big dunes 😎 Thanks for watching and commenting!
The twilight pigtail you used has an orange wire on it and the 5150’whips has 2 wires (red/black) where did you put the orange?
If I remember correctly you just cap that one off.
So do you think lowering the seat gives more leg room or is it opposite?
Possibly more, your not tilting it forward your tilting it more back which should pull your legs back. Definitely will not loose leg room!
@@wernergarage7078 Well i got mine home and dropped the front 2 bolts down. Lost about 3 inches of legroom. The high position in the front seems best for legroom. Im going to try removing the rear spacer and see if its any better.
@@crookedpigsbbq I was referring to my seat mod. Since that is the video you commented on. Sorry for the misunderstanding, if you lower the back position that give the most leg room, it's an easy mod and it will allow you to lower the front and not loose the legroom.
Nice video but the only thing I'm worried about is excessive dust swirling around behind the cab being sucked into the intake! I would like to put the intake on top of the roof. Thanks!
I did not see an issue with more on the filter before the mod and we run in pretty crazy dust. On top of the roof wood be ideal and help with the noise.
