Better than the film.

A great drama, although, looking at it from a legal standing, Lex displays several instances of behaviour that, at least under the ruling of the British judicial system, would have seen him SEVERELY warned off by the Judge, if not outright charged of Being in Contempt and removed from the Courtroom!

I really like this version of this story but the periodic BEEPING hurts my ears. Could you PLEASE record it without the loud beeping sounds?

In summary, we mostly have 35-40% length of the actual story/text. What about the length of retold story? please guide

geez, does anyone recall miss sherlock. the are some really pompous a*'s posting here. sherlock is one of my favourite character, but i can still enjoy his character [if done well] into a multitude scenario, like a cartoon, where he wakes up in the future. stop being so pompous, if it's done well, it's worth enjoying, this was done well.

What happened at 31:26 ? The story seems to jump from one scene to another! Have sections be scrambled? Or has something been left out? If the latter, how much? After being an excellent Holmes in the sensationalistic Study in Terror (1965), and a fiine Dr. Thorndyke in "A Message from the Deep Sea", the first episode of The Rivals of Sherlock Holmes (1971), he seems to be doing his best in this arch, self-indulgent, and corny pastiche., but its sad to hear... However, I might have kept trying, if I had not encountered this weird break!

The very early Superman was very cruel, he would take someone fly up to 10,000 ft, drop them and as they fail and screamed and thought they were going to die he grabbed them at the last second, and would torture them. In one comic strip he choked Lois Lane unconscious so he could change into Superman.

Bloody hell, Watson was getting a bit shirty and imperialistic!

The sound disappears for several seconds at one stage.

Excellent Holmes and Watson with a script that lets them shine! You got me looking around with your Michael Hardwick credit and additional Robert Powell details. I knew that Michael Hardwick - often together with his wife Mollie - did a lot with and about Holmes and Conan Doyle, but did not know how much! His Wikipedia article has many details (such as published play versions of stories), and I learned other things from the Internet Archive, including that he did a different 1962 BBC adaptation (with Carleton Hobbs as Sherlock Holmes and Norman Shelley as Dr. Watson). And I see Robert Powell voice-acted Dr. Watson (and Sherlock Holmes, when Watson quotes him!) in Clive Norton and Oliver Wakeman's 2002 rock opera of The Hound of the Baskervilles (having previously narrated Rick Wakeman's 1987 The Gospels).

No I didn’t enjoy this mean-spirited comedy that has no flavor of Holmes or Watson. For a truly funny take-off try the “Second Holmes” stories.
