@ I essentially max out on thrust, since it’s far and away the best card that gives you access to whatever play you want to make in the situation. As for the rest, I’m torn between droplet & xyz encore for ryzeal, but I definitely lean towards droplet, since it’s better into more match ups.

It’s just not needed, since playing 60 typically means you’re including more bricks just to achieve the same result that a 40 card deck can do less consistently.

Escuridao is basically the only playable dark elemental hero fusion monster. By playable I mean that it can be summoned after fusion destiny locks you into darks, which in turn does allow you to otk the opponent a little bit more easily. It’s extremely important to have if you’re forced to use fusion destiny before you can go through all your other hero fusions. Being a dark law target also comes up more often than one might think. This play typically comes up after getting hit by Nibiru, provided you held miracle fusion (usually backed by favorite contact/DPE for protection of course). Please let me know how those other cards work out, because I know this build is still rough around the edges when it comes to incorporating all the new evil hero cards. I’d love to get some feedback in order to improve this deck!

You do in fact need a mask change (or mask 2/form change). You can also clearly see it in the video at the 12:40 mark on the chance that this question is asking why I don’t play it.

​​​​​​@@agi296 Main deck: × 3 Genta, Gateman of the under world Starts combos × 3 Snoww , Unlight of the dark world Searches 50% of the deck × 2 Reign-Beaux Overking of Dark World The main combo for this card is that you use it to search Grapha, special summon it to field and then return it to hand to use its search effect again. Its usefulness does not exceed 2 copies. ×2 Grapha Dragon Lord This card is ment to be a search for Reign-Beaux in a combo and a turn 2 board wiper as it can destroy monsters and face down/up spells/traps. This card is not a prime subject for a discard because it is not a search. 7 of the cards in the deck can search it. ×3 gates of dark world You already know × 1 Sillva, Warlord of dark world This cards hand looping is the main game plan for building your board. It allows you to easily create powerful link monsters and rank 8 beatsticks. Also take your opponents hand to H E double L. × 1 Lucent, Netherlord of Dark world Never run 2 Sillva. Lucent is a worst Sillva but has more attack and a diffrent effect when your opponent discards it. You run it because if you are going second your Sillva will not be as effective so you should invest in Lucent instead who can special summon any fiend from deck. "Any" get creative. × 1 Dark World Archives This card is strong but is a once per turn that requires a dark world monster on the field to solo combo. This card grants you 2 discards and +2 draw. You should only search this card if you are in dire need of the discard and draw. Try drawing this card instead. ×2 Dark Coridoor An amazing search card that also discards. In a good dark world deck you empty your deck pretty quickly so you only run 2 of these once per turn card. You should use this card to search Snoww as a short cut to Genta. ×1 Dark world accession Good fusion card that returns to hand from grave when you discard a dark world monster. For that reason only run one copy. This card is a powerful face down in response to your opponent. It can give you a strong monster with a negate without having to special summon on your turn. This will help you avoid monster effects that would trigger if you were to special summon on your turn. Also board wipe on your opponents turn because one of the materials has to be grapha. I have a story about this card you can ask about. × 3 Gen the diamond tiger Always run 3 copies because in this deck it will help trigger 2 of your most powerful spell cards and also trigger your dark worlds better effects. You want to see Gen on your opening hand because the odds are that you will have a Danger monster, Gen, and a Dark world search and your opponent will not have a a good target to negate. ×1 Ken the dragon You need this card for Gen but will not be using it more than once per game. If you can more than once then go for it. × 1 Triple T Thrust Dark world is a deck that draws alot of cards. This card gives you a choice between 3 effects. Most decks have to choose the draw 2 effect but in dark world you can afford to use the other 2 to get a major advantage without disrupting your combo. Gen puts Ken on your opponents field allowing you to use T T T on the first turn. I use the effect to look at the enemy hand and shuffle a card back into the deck and then plan my board around the cards in their hand while still being able to combo. ×1 Triple T Talents This can searches for normal spells in your deck. Thrust is a great target for reasons I explained. If you used Gen to put a Ken on the enemy field that means you can add Thrust strait into your hand. × 2 Danger Mothman This card is a level 4 monster that draws cards and is a easy special summon. Use this card as a discard and XYZ material. I do not run 3 copies because you can only use its second effect once per turn. Same thing for every other danger on this list. × 2 Danger Jackalope This card is a draw and a easy special summon. If it hit itself with its effect you can special summon any danger from deck to field. Use this to create a mothman who you can use for a rank 4 XYZ summon. × 2 danger Nessie The same usefulness as the other danger cards. If this card hits itself use it to search mothman and use that for a rank 4 XYZ summon. Danger package: I only use these guys for easy link material and easy rank 4 material. I do not run the other dangers because I see getting a rank 4 as a priority and the dangers I have support that. Also these are the safest dangers. You want dangers to hit a dark world monsters and not each other so it makes no sense to use 10 dangers so I only run 6. × 2 Allure of Darkness This is a good card but I also hate it. You draw 2 to banish one. It makes your deck more consistant but if you already are having a good run it sucks to have it be the next card you draw because losing a copy of any dark monster in your deck will hinder you. The best target for this card is a danger monster or genta after you cycled all of your gates. × 2 Hallo , the spirit of tricks This card just came out so I will need to explain this one. She is a level 4 dark fiend monster that has a search card and is your main attacking monster. This card allows you to focus on setting up negates and board wipes on your first turn. When you normal or special summon this card your opponent chooses to take 500 damage for each fiend in you grave yard or Hallo get 800 attack for each fiend in your grave yard. This card is great for when you are ready to attack because it requires very little set up and can be used for your extra deck summons and can be speical summoned from grave, hand, and by Lucient. When the card leaves the field you get to destroy one of your enemies cards for free. × 2 Hallo-Ween! This is a normal spell that searches the Hallo in the deck and is not a once per turn. It gives you a level 4 dark fiend boss monster for free that can be normal summoned and special summoned from hand and grave. × 2 Ash Blossom You need this card for most decks, people seem to think that Dark World does not have to. Dark world draws alot of cards and if you play your cards right you will end your first turn with a board with several negates and 2 Ash. The Ash can be used on turn 1, 2, and 3 without disrupting your own combo. × 1 Zalamander Catalyzer This card a amazing for dark world. It acts like a danger card that lets choose a card to special summon and discard. You can use it for combo or use it to get cards like Hallo on board to swing for game. It returns to hand if one of your fiends are involved in battle.

It is a lot of fun! It’s just unfortunate that one of the burdens of enjoying decks like Lightsworn is that there are so many different ways to play it. Although, I guess that would be a good problem to have lmao

You just summon it again with its own effect of banishing 3 lights/dark monsters, since the only part of levianeer that’s a hard once per turn is the effect it gains on summon, not the ability to be summoned.

As crazy as it may seem, it is indeed haha. The best part is that if you’re going second, if you decide to summon the levianeer a second time, it can actually attack, since its previous restriction (of not attacking) no longer applies to it.

you still need to need banish 3 lights & darks to summon it a second time.

The thing that I really like about the play you mentioned is that it easily sets up having 4 different Lightsworn monsters in your grave, which is great for Minerva and whatever Boss Dragon you decide to play. The only thing that makes me a little hesitant on this line is that the play does make your deck significantly weaker against Nibiru, which is something this deck does somewhat struggle against with the loss of Apollousa. In most situations, I’d like to hold the Dragonling for as much as possible (at least until the omega comes out), since it’s one of the main cards that allows Lightsworn to push through any interactions from the opponent. If you know your opponent doesn’t have it though, then your play is 100% the best way to get your engine going in the early game.

Oh I actually love using the Fiendsmith engine, I just chose not to include it in this profile because I like giving people that can’t afford it other options. Hopefully my other stuff (past & future) proves just as useful!

@@Billybehere if I play Fiendsmith, it’s typically just a small engine of 1 engraver, 1 lacrima, and 1 Lurrie (for the monsters). No need to devote the entire Fiendsmith engine since Weiss already gives you access to it.

Great question! Whenever I play tearlament, I always try to give myself as many options as possible because you never truly know what your opponent is going to be playing. As a result, I opted to keep the Merrli in deck, since it allows me to be more flexible with whatever potential match up I may end up facing. This is extremely important when going up against trap heavy strategies , due to sprind making kaleido (with field spell) allows you to more effectively clear their board than if you had relied solely on little knight banishing one. Now of course, adding the Merrli makes more sense from a resource standpoint, since it allows you to conserve the Magnamhut to deal with light/dark decks more effectively (especially with orcust and blue-eyes right around the corner). Basically what I’m getting at, is that it’s extremely match up dependent and unfortunately you won’t know what the proper line is until games 2&3. I definitely should have explained it better in the video though, so that’s my bad haha.

Oh definitely. Tear is one of those decks that is always capable of taking games off of any deck it’s facing. It’s definitely a little bit more difficult with the top 2 decks playing bystials, shifter, and dweller though haha .

I know it’s weird, but it’s due to a policy change that went into effect in November of 2010 (after Edison format), where cards from magazines, manga, & video games need to be released in a region for them to be legal in that region (a policy that still exists to this day). Since tag force 3 never got released in NA, it was effectively turned into an EU exclusive until it finally got a reprint in the Ra Yellow Mega pack set.

@ those people are either playing the Columbus version of Tengu where gallis is legal (and dark world), European Tengu, or are just straight playing illegal lists (since Toronto is the most commonly played version of Tengu).

You basically just toss in the 3 maxx Cs & a snow for the main. Then for the extra, you get to include all the good generic cards like Baronne & Apo that are currently banned in the TCG.

How many Mask Changes would you put in the main?

@@simowl98 depends on how many the banlist allows. In the OCG we only ever run 1, but in your case in the TCG, run max if you have space. Dark Law is essentially Shifter with a hand rip, and a lot of decks die to that in the current meta.

Just wanted to give you an update that the profile may take a little longer to make than I thought, since I couldn’t locate a good chunk of the cards from the original profile. Hopefully the replacements arrive in a timely fashion.

It’s okay, since it’s a level 4 fiend that can give you fuel for gates. However, it’s basically the only one that isn’t guaranteed to advance the game state if it gets discarded (during the early game), which is why I opted to not play it.

I cannot stress enough how much the support means to me and I hope I’m able to constantly put out enjoyable content for as long as I am able to!

As odd as this sounds, I’d be probably alter the danger ratios before touching the upstarts. Mainly because I value guaranteed consistency over the more luck based consistency that the danger monsters offer. Although, you can definitely make an argument on cutting the upstarts if you want to include other cards such as puppetry or more copies of corridor.

Truth be told, the really doesn’t matter too much for a deck like this, so you basically just wanna keep it as generic as possible. Lancea for maliss, barrier for ryzeal, then good generic cards to round out the rest (evenly matched, duster, lightning storm, etc)

I promise I really am trying to get one of these out, but something always interrupts during the middle of recording (which is a pain, since I need these to be one long continuous to ensure the authenticity haha). Eventually the stars will align and I’ll be able to get them out

You can actually fit both the fiendmsith engine & Horus engine with Lightsworn (I made a video with both engines last month). Lightsworn definitely has better synergy with the fiendmsith cards though, since Weiss gives you access to the entire engine.

Definitely the one that has both the Fiendmsith engine and Horus monsters. It’s crazy how many interactions the deck is able to push through with both engines.

@victorsadventures- i will try the deck profile out but with more felis then wolf due to the felis haveing more utilities because of its effect and because it's a tunner.

Yeah the Fiendsmith just fits so perfectly with the Lightsworn deck that it’s hard not including them in the deck. As for aegis, Dragonling can always send it if your hand is strong enough (basically starting the weiss stack wulf combo normally). Even then, I feel you should have enough gas to get access to it at some point with all the milling and drawing.

Ah, truth be told, I’m not really a big fan of doing online content (when it comes to yugioh anyways). Even for things like general discussion, I’d prefer doing an IRL video using the physical cards haha. If I ever do decide to do online content, it’ll pretty much be used exclusively for whenever I decide to start streaming.
