@ShortGuyMoto Good stuff. Will look there. Racing this weekend here. Track q day and track time Friday and Friday night. My 2020 Gixxer 750 was stolen after two track days in BC this spring so quickly replaced it with a ZX4RR as a S1000RR was also on order. Just sold the ZX6R track bike as it never fit it well and racing exclusively on a Gixxer 600 which I also bought this spring. Having a blast, never thought I would be doing this at 65 having just learned to ride in 2021.

@78logistics Great to hear your racing despite the setbacks. I know a few guys who race up in Canada, I'm sure we have some common racer friends.

@ShortGuyMoto haha the insurance paid out well and I got the new Ninja out if the deal. Truth be known I prefer it to the Bimmer..right now. Need to have the Bimmer lowered and flash the Ninja and turn it into a race bike for next year. Both were a 65th bday gift. The craziest thing about all this was I was declared Novice Racer of 2024 by the local association, sure was not speed LOL, but I am always there. So I am paying it forward....I got a new set of tires for the 600.

Motul 10w40 300v for the oil, I believe. I'm using Pirelli sc1 slicks, now, at Front:32 Rear:28psi - Hot off the warmers.

@NinjaKoalaAUTW still rocking it, I have like 3 1/2 now 😆🤣 mainly for racing. I just haven't posted videos in a while. Zx4rr, love it, haven't ridden one but for the money I would probably buy an rs660 over the 4rr but they are different bikes, both great.

yes. I've raced a whole expert season with the stock suspension too. I have ohlins now.

@@ShortGuyMoto Was it worth the investment? I currently have an n400 that I have been doing some track days with. I'm just trying to determine if it's worth putting the money into.

suspension is definitely worth it. I'd upgrade that, rearsets, clip ons, pirelli sc1 tires, brembo z04 brake pads ± brembo 600 brake fluid.

Thanks. At this point the bike was close to stock. It had a chain, sprocket, air filter, rearsets, front rotor.

Well the 400 is almost fully built now. I plan to do a video review once I have it back in a few weeks

so hateful 😂 This was my 3rd track day ever. I've hit a 2:00 at Thill with my Ninja 400, and am the current AFM champion for the 450 class and a few others. I guess I'm a scrub 🤷

I have an abs and a non-abs Ninja 400. This is possible with both lol. The abs bike just lacks feel under braking and the oem brake pads I'd thrown in the trash

Upgraded the brake pads for both. the abs bike will lock up the wheel once you have a good brake pad

Pretty sure the bike had a stock exhaust at this time. Just brake less and throttle more 😉

Thanks. No schools just used to ride a lot in the mountains and moved over to track riding. I usually practice at kart tracks on the weekend i.e. (kinsmen, sonoma, buttonwillow)

I recommend Pirelli's SuperCorsa Tires, pricey but worth it

As an alternative, I would say you can try Michelin Power Cup Evo. Last longer and is very similar in terms of grip. Also, the key point would be that Cup Evo was specifically designed for smaller bikes like 300 or 400 and not the other way around.

Mechlin is a good alternative. I liked the power cup evo but still prefer the feeling of the pirellis. Both are great. As well as dunlops.

@@ShortGuyMoto What do you do for ergonomics like pegs (to get clearance) and seat? I'm struggling to find the right clip-ons and waiting for my Norton Motorsports Kawasaki Ninja 400 Adjustable Rearset Riser Kit.

woodcraft rear sets, Norton rearset risers. Armour bodies Sbk seat. Handlebars are stock but I'm upgrading to a set of spider clip ons
