Got to see this in 2014 with the NJ All-State Honors Orchestra perform this from a very unique perspective. I was a tenor in the choir, and we shared the stage with the orchestra for the entire concert. This was the orchestra opener, and because of an injury, I was sitting at the lowest level of the risers. I was about a foot away from the mallet percussion, and the pure energy they had with this piece (as well as the whole ensemble) was insane. The entire choir was blown away with this piece and I still come back to listen 10 years later Amazing work!

How can I make a brass ensemble louder? Add pipe organ!

Sounds a bit like John Adams - although for every passage that sounds like him, there is one that does not. Sounding somewhat like Adams, but not exactly like him is no bad thing.
