Q: It says "[EXCLUSIVE ONLY]" but the Platinum lease is still for sale? Can I buy a Platinum lease instead of the exclusive?
A: Yes, you can. The goal for all my beats is to match each one with the right artist and sell it as an exclusive. However, I also want to enable smaller artists who can't afford exclusive beats the opportunity to use my work as well, which is why the Platinum leases are still available. Keep in mind, platinum leases are capped at one million streams, if you're big enough to get more than 1 million streams, then you should buy the exclusive.
Q: Can I upload my song to streaming sites after purchasing a lease?
A: Yes, ONLY IF YOU PURCHASE a license, you can upload your song to all streaming services online and keep 100% of the earnings. (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.)
Q: When do I get my files after purchase?
A: Files are downloadable instantly after purchase from your receipt screen. They are also emailed to the purchase email you entered when checking out. If you accidentally closed the receipt screen, just check your email and you can download it from there.
Q: What happens if I go over the stream limit?
A: There is no stream limit if you purchase the Beat exclusively. If you purchase the Platinum lease, your streams will be capped at 1 million, and you will have to purchase the Beat exclusively or purchase an additional Platinum lease. If the beat is no longer available in my store, that means it has been exclusively sold.
Q: Does the beat come untagged?
A: Yes, the beat will come untagged.
Q: Can others use the same beat if I purchase the beat exclusively?
A: No, you are the final owner and received a signed contract.
Q: Can I use your beats for free if I’m not making money?
A: No. You are still using my work to promote yourself, in which case you must at least purchase a lease to the beat. Any found use of my beat will be reported for copyright infringement and requested to be taken down.
Q: Can we just split the song 50/50 instead of doing a lease?
A: No. Unfortunately, I cannot rely on an unknown 50%.
Q: Can we negotiate lease pricing?
A: Yes, there is an option to negotiate pricing directly from the pricing page of each beat lease.
Q: What are the terms of the license contract?
A: If you go to the homepage and scroll down to “licensing info” you can read an overview of each license type and if you click “read license” you can read the contract in its entirety.
