“Minimum” of 60. POH for landing says 90. I set it down around 75-80 typically, but this time I was fighting the wind all the way down. My spine is way good, and the Piper’s robust landing gear took it like a champ 💪 . It sounded and looked way worse than what it was. 😎

Creo que la turbulencia generada es realista, sobre todo porque estaba volando sobre los árboles. Los rebotes que ves son desde el punto de vista de un piloto, no del avión en sí. Este efecto proviene de un avión de terceros y no se puede desactivar. Realmente me gusta mucho. La turbulencia que utiliza el programa principal de msfs no es buena. El avión se moverá un poco pero no se comportará como debería. En la vida real y por lo que he experimentado, un avión pequeño como ese exhibe pequeños saltos y rebotes rápidos, particularmente con las ruedas extendidas y los flaps completamente bajados.

@@n10485 se que es un efecto agregado por A2A, pero da una sensacion de movimiento mecanico programado. No parece algo organico. No me gusta. Creo que es posible desactivarlo en la tableta del comanche. En fin, es una sugerencia en cuanto a mis gustos personales.

What was it doing to the rudder control?

​@@n10485 It somewhat limits the movement of the rudder, the rudder doesn't moves to it's max limit in each side and it causes to be very hard to maneuver the aircraft while on ground. It also causes problems in takeoff. I've noticed it happens more on ground, especially in propeller or turboprop aircrafts. In some jets I notice the rudder a bit "weird", but not limited.

@@caiquealencar1688 Interesting… you know I have noticed some movement difficulty on the ground, but that’s when I start to move from a stopped position. Once I get moving the steering begins to work better and the range of movement improves quite a bit. In real life this can be a factor as well. From a slow or stopped position, it can be very difficult to gain effective control of your wheel turn movement, especially with cable driven steering. Hydraulic pressured steering doesn’t have the same issues because the pistons force the movement. I have not tried but have you checked to see if the differential toe brakes help with the movement as opposed to using the rudder/nose-wheel steering?

​@@n10485 From an external camera it's possible to see that the rudder doesn't move to it's full extent in either sides. It's clearly a glitch. When you close the FSrealistic the problem ends imediately. Yeah, I know that according to the laws of physics the rudder is more effective on higher speeds due to the increase in airspeed because it's an aerodinamical surface. But, yes the nose wheel steering also helps quite a bit. By the way, good luck to your channel, greetings from Brazil.

@@caiquealencar1688. I see. Well it’s not too bothersome for me and I think it adds a bit of realism. Maneuvering in tight spots on the ground can be a challenge. 😂 and thanks for the well wishes for the channel. Truth be told, I’m not a “TH-camr”. I don’t ask for likes or subs and I’m just using the platform to store my videos. Hey there! Yes the addon is FSRealistic Pro. It has a ton of different sounds you can choose for your aircraft. It also modifies the camera so if you land hard the plane shakes violently and other things. Very highly recommend it.

Yes. I was forced to correct the whole way down. The winds were not playing nice with gusts here and there.

They don't have an ILS approach. Many controlled airports around the world don't have them either. He was following the RNAV12 I believe.

They are pretty great! If you have not tried the A2A Piper Comanche 250, that is also a must have. 😎

a.co/d/gULhGTF This is my setup. It works really well and has never given me any issues. The only maintenance I have done is to the throttle and that was to re-lube the guide rails. I do use it extensively though, so it was bound to happen just like with any other controller. I wish I had a set of rudder pedals but I don’t have room for them under my desk, so I resort to the twist-function on the control stick. There are a ton of buttons on both controllers to map out controls to.

It was gross. 😂 The variable headwind was not playing nice and that ground effect made me float endlessly down the runway. It wasn’t pretty but I lived to tell the tale.

@@n10485 Cherokee’s have tendency to ground effect. I find that pulling the flaps will help get you to touchdown rather than floating down the runway.

@@FlightSimVRDad. I thought about pulling up at least a notch of flaps but was afraid I’d pancake. 😂

@@n10485 I fly the Arrow and Comanche and find it works like magic. I had a short field landing and she kept floating, I pulled up the flaps and she touched down smooth as silk. Then I was able to bring the brakes and pull up the nose to get stopped.

Man, SoCal is beautiful! Before I started recording videos, I flew there plenty of times. After I’m done touring Canada, I’ll most likely head back down there and some of Arizona.

You can’t just say that and then not say why! What are your thoughts on it?

@@mattzoom8656. I thought about something like that at first but I kept my speed up because I was dealing with a weird 15-20 kt headwind that turned into a crosswind 🤷🏻‍♂️. It made for a fun landing!

Example.. 38,000 - 2,000 = 36,000 ÷ 1,000 = 36nm and monitoring

And 1/2 the ground speed for rate of vertical speed so if you are doing 400 knots ground speed your vertical speed down should be 2000 ft part minute.

I have never been there. I primarily fly in the U.S. and Canada. I’ll check it out sometime soon. 👍🏼

I believe it handles very well. If your looking for a more realistic sim experience for a single-engine prop, this the one to get. The developer did an admirable job with the Comanche and all the associated aircraft systems. I wish every aircraft in the sim was set to this standard.
