*Name of the Event National level Workshop on “Python for Embedded Projects”* Type of event Workshop Date *25.08.2023* *Resource Persons* Mr.P.Gajendran, Assistant Professor-EEE, KCE, Coimbatore. & Dr.C.S.Sundar Ganesh, Assistant Professor-EEE, KCE, Coimbatore. *Coordinators* Mr.P.Gajendran, Assistant Professor-EEE, KCE, Coimbatore. & Dr.C.S.Sundar Ganesh, Assistant Professor-EEE, KCE, Coimbatore. *Number of Participants* 103 *Glimpse of Event* Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organised a National level Workshop on “Python for Embedded Projects” on 25.08.2023. The session started with the Tamil Thai Vazhthu. Dr.V.Tamilselvan HoD-EEE, gave the welcome address. Ms.S.Shubhakarani and Ms.D.Suryavadhani of III year students introduced the resource persons. Then session started with the basics of Python programming and Jupyter notebook in the Anaconda navigator for simulation of basics examples delivered by Dr.C.S.Sundar Ganesh. He also delivered how to program the micro:bit in tinkercad online platform. In the next session, Mr.P.Gajendran conducted the hands-on session in python programming for simple projects like LED ON/OFF control and sensor data acquisition using Thonny python and Jupyter Notebook. Then demonstration of an embedded application is done using raspberry Pi Pico for AC motor control, Wifi Control based lighting control. Chandrayaan-3 model developed by the IV year students demonstrated and explained the specifications to the workshop participants. In the final session, the resource person distributed the certificates to the participants, and Dr. C.S. Sundar Ganesh delivered the vote of thanks.
