2 months of rain in a day!

Driving on a day when it rained literally all day. Apparently 2 months worth of rain in a day leading to some schools choosing to close and weather warnings all across the country!
Aftermath of accident on A34 involving army vehicles

Apparently from a collision of military vehicles on the A34. The road was closed for a very long time and at least 2 people were hospitalised. Hopefully no fatalities.

Sadly, there was an accident on the A34. Stuck there for over 2 hours. Thankfully no casualties.

Certainly has changed when I was there in 1987 on and off between Germany until eventually leaving forever in 2002..
Well, loads of excitement, little one's quizzing over the commotion and mum's making up the facts. Mum's are best. A beautiful story. Thanks, and take care,
So, that was your handiwork on the guitar?
We've had a lot of similar weather over the last couple of years. So much that tree's fall over lifting their root ball out of the ground.
Thanks, take care.
Well it's summer here, and this is an amazing sight. I swear it feels like the temps dropped 20 degrees here, and if my wife was in the room watching, she'd turn the heat pump on. Thanks, take care.
I never saw snow this early in Oxford when I lived there, amazing, thanks to you I've seen it. Take care.
Snow in November omg were all going to die panic buy ohhhhh hang on it's winter dooooooook silly fecker😂😂😂😂
Very helpful. Thanks
It all worked really well.
I was hoping the ONE 2 three 4 song would last the whole 5min18sec.
Hi mate, hope u are doing well. Is it okay to use it please ? With credit of course, thanks in advance and have a good day.
Hello mate, yes, you may use with credit. Cheers.
Wow, take care.
With the drizzle and dull day, I couldn't recognize where you were, maybe this is new, until Woodstock road. Really close to home now. You planned this. Many thanks.
Well, you know Oxford. They're always building something new. And yet somehow it remains mainly the same!
Well, you're making me homesick again, should I say, sick of this home. Trips to Kidlington were our weekend Sainsbury grocery fix, which pulled us together and made us one again after a week of work and school. Loved it, miss it dearly. The kids have all gone, the wife stays home so I can spend my money at Pak n Save buying the wrong items, no fun any more. I miss the memories of life in the UK, but I'm scared that if I came back, would the memories still be there. I look at your amazing sunny day, and compare it to ours. Ours is also sunny with blue skies, but struggling to find a high of 10deg cent. I smile at your sunny day, but regret ours. I wonder about your ties with the Churchill Hospital, checked on google maps and suspect I must have driven past it without knowing what it was. It's huge. Crikey, I've turned into a grumpy old man. Thanks, and take care.
Thanks.
I've really enjoyed this different drive around. I now know how to get to the Chinese Takeaways. Listening to your idea's for future vlogs is exciting, I would love to go through Sainsbury's to compare with with my 20yr old memory. Bicester is so much more than the memory I have, now we've got to visit Oxford, oh, and of course 26 Hart Synnot House in Leckford Rd, brilliant. Sorry, sort of lost it for a second. You might need a name now? Thanks, and take care.
I appreciate your kind words. I hope to travel to Oxford and beyond!
They were not even at 70 mph😅
If the police hog the middle lane, there's really no hope!
This is what I need. I am planning a trip from Reading to south west of Birmingham and want to stop at Bicester for some rest during the journey.
Stopping off to do some shopping at Bicester Village?
This blind old man missed the stadium but enjoyed the drive. Typical moody weather, mind you it was after 5pm mid December on a busy A road. Many thanks, take care.
Late on the reply. But appreciate the comment. Thanks!
Well done, balls of steel. I don't think I could have trusted my right foot that much.
Haha, was tempted to speed past!
A pleasing walk in the rain. Thanks, and take care.

Yup! Correct. Happy New Year to you. All the best for 2024.
This song?
Back in Bondi, but where does Blondie fit in. So confusing, take care, nearly there
Bondi?
Wow, there's no more secrets. Take care.
no more secrets?
The crowds are back on Cornmarket, Broad St looks cluttered still, awaiting Boswells replacement to be uncovered. A bit sad seeing tradition being swapped for flashy 2minute something. Thanks, take care.
The council no longer want to close the roads for the Christmas market. So a lot of traders boycotted it. It is a shame indeed! Hope you had a good Christmas.
Hi family, Merry Christmas. Thank you, and take care.
Merry Christmas
I went to google maps to find where we were, Ovingdean looks like it could be a popular summer retreat, with farming still a mainstay in the area. I zoomed in on some paddocks used for cows and noticed what looked like snow had collected along the fence lines. Surely not that far south and along the coast. It sent a shiver down my back and put a smile on my face, 5am xmas day, couldn't sleep even with all the windows open because of the humid heat. Thanks for the drive, Merry Christmas and take care.
Its a nice little location. Far away enough from the main town but close enough too! I hope you've had a great Christmas.
A speedy but quiet trip, it reminded me of the way the UK's motorways shortened distance and time from A to B. Thanks and take care.
Indeed. So much difference being on the motorways compared to the A roads.
I lived there for three years back in the late 80's. Didn't recognise much for that footage. Would have helped if you had put a map sign or subtitle on.
A wet road, a setting sun, but a cloudless blue sky with a slight haze of pollutants. I've been to Bournemouth before but no memories came flashing back. I remember in 2002 or 3, speed cameras had to be obvious and painted bright yellow or was it orange in the UK. They already had the speed indicator lines painted in white on the road that warned of their existence. In NZ there were no such warning lines, and the cameras were disguised, or hidden away in a nondescript vehicle parked on the side of the road. I did notice your slight speed reduction when approaching one and thought, ok they do work, for a hundred yards or so, but. Over here you'd get a letter in the mail indicating your fine and your demerit points tally. It's always nice to go for a cruise in your car, it'd be great if you had the family with you and you just added the vocals to the video, I always drive alone nowadays but fondly remember earlier times. I'm sure you'll put up more vlogs before xmas, but just in case, Merry Christmas to you and your family. Thanks, and take care.
Thanks for watching. Everyone in the car was asleep! It had been a few busy days. I was tired myself. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. I wish you a merry Christmas too and all the best for you and your family in the new year.
@@placesleftI fondly remember so many Sunday evening drives back from London with everbody snoring and me wishing to join them. Thanks for the many gifts you've given me through the year, very much appreciated. Take care.
You do get around. Thanks for the pleasant drive. Take care.
Preach Trevor 🙌
An interesting trip, checked Gatwick on google maps, miles away from where I thought. The M25 took forever only because I'd only been on the northern section following not a shortcut instructions to get to WingYip in Cricklewood. The M40 still has plenty of memories. Your music selection was excellent, but I enjoyed the chatter on the last trip more. It's been more than 40yrs since I had a conversation with my daughter when she sounded like that. Thanks for the memories, and take care.
Glad it brings you great memories. Thanks once again for watching. Take care and seasons greetings!
Great old Baker St Station. That's not your sleeping bag?
Thankfully not. It's incredible how anyone survives these cold nights sleeping rough. It's a shame that no government or country seems able to tackle homelessness in an effective way. I'm sure its a complicated issue though!
Thanks for that, a muffled navlady rabbiting on in the background assisting your trip home, and a little girl talking to her dad, priceless. Take extra care.
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it!
Another murky old day. So typical and I loved it. We don't get constant rain while driving over here, it's patchy, suspect it's because of the hills. Definitely remember driving on rainy days in the UK just like this. Had me smiling from the start, even though I couldn't read most of the sign posts. Thank for the trip. Take care.
Yeah, lots of rain in the last few weeks. It is December after all. Once again, thanks for watching. It's great to know that these videos invoke good memories for you.
Oh what?? Drove all that way and didn't see who you were dropping off, or maybe picking up. I've never been to Gatwick before. Many thanks, take care.
Haha, it was a pick up. Rarely visit Gatwick but was a nice drive.
That's not foggy! You can see the road markings
Fair comment!
I loved it, home, had me smiling from the first second. This weather is so typical for a UK winters day, I bet you saw heaps like this in Aussie. Thanks so much. Take care.
I feel sick reading that
Here's the medicine 🍼
Wow, it looks like some sort of futuristic Mars landing.
03/11 ? That was nice, you owned the road reaching break neck speeds and thrilling your passengers, all expecting to take off at any second. A most enjoyable ride but if we were coming from Heathrow to Oxford, it would've been amazing, a real memory bender. Really nice to see you all back home again, thanks, and take care.
Decided to take the bus from Heathrow. Didn't fancy a drive after a 23 hour flight!
Drove past it a few times. I thought it would've disappeared by now, and actually thought it had. Time to reset your watch.
It's more lively than ever.
Arriving home, me, my wife, and our little daughter. Twenty years ago that was me
Amazing home. My first landed at Heathrow at night. Take care.
Glad to bring back memories
An upgrade?
If only!
Is this song to add fear to a quick flight?
Haha
Wow, so you're heading home again, wish I was too. You didn't consider a trip across the ditch which is understandable. Have a good flight and take care. I see it's raining in Oxford this minute.
Yeah, not this time but maybe in the future! Thanks for the best wishes.
