Crag Archives: Sheitan Sabzi (32, 8b+) | Second ascent by Lucy Stirling | Coolum Cave
I recently had the opportunity to spend a couple days out with Lucy and the Coolum crew before we were sent into lockdown. Lucy timed her best climbing perfectly, and so did a few others on a day with primo conditions.
Hope you guys enjoy!

Pikachu shirt guy crushes EVERYTHING! // Sessions: A Climbing Series
มุมมอง 1.3K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Sessions aims to be a climbing series that captures a little more behind the process and the journey of climbing - for myself & others around me. A little more candid, playful and relaxed than my other productions, as you can probably tell by this first edit. I came in for this first session without any specific direction besides a chill sesh with Corey on his whites, but when I saw that Pikach...

มุมมอง 25K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Kyle Addy and Alex Mougenot take on Brown Corduroy Trousers (28, 5.12d, 7c) at Frogs Buttress, famous for being the hardest traditional climb in Queensland. With razor-sharp edges, thin cracks and technical sequences - both climbers had to pull out their best climbing on this joint project. Moments: An Anthology
มุมมอง 4304 ปีที่แล้ว
A collection of some of my most cherished moments over the past 3 years finally weaved together. With a bit of focus on my good friend Japan. There's been no better time to dive deep into a project like this, not being able to see friends and loved ones was a good reminder to look back on these memories. Enjoy!
Wipe Out at Sail Away Wall | Blue Mountains

Diving through the archives during quarantine to bring back some stoke and inspiration. This one features Dave's attempt at Wipe Out in the Blue Mountains during our trip last year. Looking forward to the day we can head back out to crush some projects again!
Happy Birthday 201m // Rigging Queensland's longest highline
มุมมอง 2755 ปีที่แล้ว
A few months ago I had the chance to tag along on a mission to rig Queensland's longest highline alongside some of the most established and experienced members of Queensland's highline community. From Trent Williams who envisioned this line to Mia Noblet (Highline world record holder) who brought her knowledge, expertise and stoke, it was an amazing collaboration of stoke. A look at the amazing oz highline gathering. 17 lines rigged across 4 locations. A gathering of beginners to experts to world record holders. An incredibly supportive atmosphere with people crushing their PBs and some standing on their first Highline ever. Enjoy! A short video diary of our overnight hike climbing up the incredible Mount Barney, camping at the beautiful Rum Jungle and then summiting the East Peak the following day. A short film inspired by Porter Robinson's "Flicker" music video and the video game "Everything". Enjoy! Filmed on: Canon 5D Instagram: @vincenttranscends Music: Saku - Susumu Yokota
BCT was originally an aid climb on pitons. I did the first clean aid ascent. I think Tobin Sorrensen did the fist free ascent? Whistling Kite is the hardest trad climb in Queensland at 32.
Hey, just watched, loved it! Question, I saw some footage there from Toohey on I think if the shoe slips problem? did you make a video of that one? love to watch some Toohey vids. I saw the fatman traverse you had and beautifully made :)
Get to the bungles 4 true climbing
hectic film, got me heaps stoked to go climb some mega lines! thanks for sharing the journey
Got this 2nd shot in the best season of my life. Climbed up, worked out the crux, lowered to the ground, then sent to the top next go. I had climbed a 30, 3x29’s and 5 28’s that season and this was my favourite 😍
awesome effort! i hope to be that strong one day haha
Good name as it fits well, trousers! Yeah it's a good little puzzle getting up, very well filmed and very well climbed, doesn't look easy!
I feel like fitness is very important in climbing because you need to be able to hold your body weight up well to do the more advanced stuff. I have done indoor climbing and there is a natural cliff in Kent somewhere. I went there with my aunt and uncle years ago, they used to climb, had their own gear. I remember getting to the top of one of the lower areas of the cliff (row) and seeing a big rope tied to a tree at the top and my uncle saying someone was climbing this solo! haha.
So I am a little overweight, but if I did this I would make an effort to lose that first.
Awesome video Vinny, congrats to Lucy for the send
Awesome climbing, congrats Lucy. Great video.
Congrats, awesome to watch!
this gym man, freaking beautiful oneday oneday
i've been addicted to these kinds of videos recently but i didn't expect to find anyone making them in brisbane! love what you're doing & can't wait to see more :)
thanks so much for the support, glad to know there is an audience for these fun edits! i'll definitely set aside time to keep em coming :)
Epic work
thanks man!
So good!
thanks khozzy! goals to have a sesh with ya :')
Absolute quality Vinny!
cheeers brotha! sesh soon with ya ;)
Awesome to see some high quality local vlog style TH-cam climbing. Any thing planned from boulderfest?
Thanks! I’ve been wanting to get this rolling for a while especially after the opening of the new west end, such a great space that’s worth documenting. Yeah I’ll be filming during boulderfest, putting together a recap vid plus a finals setting special. if you’re around come say hi! :)
nice bro
Thanks man :)
Yessssss Vinny! Great vid.
Thanks jordy! You better believe you’ll be up soon ;)
two legends!
Thx mate!
Senddddd. Cruised it!
yeww
beautiful :)
thanks bro!
I did this climb way back in 1997 when it had carrots & remember taking a few (big) falls before linking it altogether. Sail Away at a grade lower (at least it was when I did then) seemed perhaps somewhat harder of the two, but still both great technical face climbing and typical Blue mountains "sandbags" of the day. Absolute Classics!
Hats off to that Kim guy. What's his surname again ?
Carrigan (better late than never hey) 😂
Great work on the send and on the film. Also, lol at Kyle. "He's really good at organising the gear and paring it down"...carries a grigri up on the send.
its so we can come onto a rap line if we fall and take the gear out for another red point attempt
That was fantastic! The climbing, the filming and the editing, all sick!
really appreciate it! thanks for watching, hope to put out some even better content soon! :)
So nice to see you guys working it "properly" from the bottom up. I'm always disappointed to see "trad" videos where the route is worked on top rope...trad to me means from the bottom up, placing gear as you go, and taking falls....I was really excited to see that you didn't pre-place gear!
Ok boomer
@semmtexx News for you millennials ... trad climb = trad rules
There's no trad harder than 7c out there ? Crazy huh
unfortunately not, there's a mixed 8b+, but it's more face climbing i believe
I love watching the process of working a route or boulder. So much more satisfying than just the send. Beautifully captured!
much appreciated, learnt a lot through the process of producing the video. look forward to making the next even better!
Incredible moves on that beauty of a route.
Great video. I loved being let into the process and partnership more than anything. I also love that these guys aren't pro climbers, but climbers not unlike me.
i'm glad you could appreciate the insight into their process and were able to relate to the guys, a big part of what they wanted to achieve was to show that anybody with some psyche and motivation could do what they did.
there is no part 2? :( Awesome video
Great work Kyle, Alex and of course Vinnie! Can't wait for what's next.
Looks really cool ist That 7c/+
yeah i think it's close to 7c, thanks for watching!
yeah brooo solid
It feels so good to see some trad climbing videos. Really awesome content, just watched the rest of your stuff. Good job! Can't wait for more!
thanks so much! super psyched to start creating more quality outdoor content after the awesome response !
So nice to see the gear placed on a red point send. Very very well done.
the boys knew how it should be done! thanks for watching :)
Really cool!
Awesome climb, great climbers, solid film and edit! Really enjoyed this! 28 is 13a in my experience in the US/AUS.
thanks for the kind words! means a lot :D
@@VincentTran no sweat. I can appreciate the effort that goes into making something like this.
Amazing, can't wait to get to Frog! Good job guys.
it's waiting for ya!
Proper epic climbing and proper epic filming all round
cheers brotha!
Bloody brilliant this. What a beauty of a climbing film. Ive liked and subbed and now checking out the rest of the channel. 👌🏼✅
really appreciate it, thanks for watching! got more in store :D
My fingertips typically sweat when watching stressful climbing and they were damn moist when Kyle was sending!

Dig the Tommy Caldwell moment at 17:56. Great route, and fun video to watch!
