I think Nicki was truly upset that the whole feud even began in the first place. I think we all can understand the stress of entering a space with a positive mindset only to have your efforts belittle and your very presence made to feel like something that is unwanted for now reason. Mariah decided that she didn’t want her there without giving her a chance.. so it is point blank Mariah’s fault for the toxic environment that was created. You cannot expect people to make themselves smaller just because you demand they do, and that’s what Mariah was expecting of Nicki. Nicki had every right to assert herself, and like other comments here have said .. I as well think she wanted to just bury the hatchet before the live shows. Someone who lives for drama creates the energy and feeds off of it. Nicki didn’t even want to do the show anymore. Mariah loved playing victim. I have to be honest, I really don’t like Mariah Carey and never have. She always has seemed fake and toxic. Nicki isn’t someone I necessarily know a whole lot about as I never really was into her music or anything.. but she has, any time I’ve seen her interviewed, come across extremely authentic and genuine.
