Don't Call it a Review Axis Art v2 939
My thoughts on using the Axis Art 939v2 with Gen2 Foil Drive in Florida like conditions. It is everything I said about the 999v2 but more just more intense.

Cabrinha H Series 1200 Foil-Wingfoiling Review
Please do a technical video just explaining how to do that. I am trying to learn wing in light wind using foil assist . I tried also to start with no power in the wing such as to get stability from speed from motor , in order to be ready for smaller boards - please try that. As soon as I start moving with the motor and holding the wing neutral, the wing flips, have to adjust the board direction. If I hold the wing powered at the start, the board flips because of the wave, this is why I want to gain first speed , but the wing flips. In short having difficulty. Please do a video explaining. Thanks.
It is not easy....but easier than getting up with no wind. I have been vowing to get back on a wing. I guess it is time to do a long format video on it. Thanks for the request. I will try and crank that out soon.
Air time! Wow!!
Did you move mast backward from normal position?
I usually bump the mast back about 1cm when using a Gen2 Foil Drive.
Hey I watched your videos, and I have FD2 too , and found use straps looks something wrong , like just free surf you want move your foot in different places , no ?
Not me my friend, not me. I love my straps. I have a few boards without them. Ever try a backflip without straps?
@@foilfanatic no I just learning 😂
@@yuribilous8310 well, beginners and experts alike ask about the straps. You are in good company. It is much easier to ride without them. Very difficult to jump strapless. 🤙
Great video!
ah, then clearly you made it to the part where I said we are going to use your board for the next video, yes? 🤣🤙 We might have to wait until you get back from AWSI unless I ride with Chris today.
@@foilfanatic no telling what new stuff we will come home with AWSI 👀
Great point on the chop factor! It makes a big difference in getting speed and liftoff. Same setup works 3x better on glassy surface. Keep the content coming!
Thanks for looking past the fact that this was intended to be a review of the 939 and just turned into seven minutes of: How can I ride this thing more often? Honestly, there is the review right there.🤙
With that Imma keep it short......Fact checkers say this was a lie.😐
Axis Foils v2 Art 939 vs 999? Which is your favorite? I think all around useability, the 999v2 will be my safety wing if I do not know the conditions before choosing the foil. 939 when it is lit and clean.
Dont make songs like that anymore
Like 8 minutes of a blues beat with some spoken word poetry over the top? Not many beside The Doors could pull that off this well.
What mast are you running?
Nothin but the best....Axis Ultra Pro 800🤙
Winning
thanks! 🤙
Nice and clean! 🤙
thanks brother! Just watched that parawing/mountainboard video of yours. very cool
Yea i hold the board from the tail wing and mast upside down the water then when i have to powerr through a wave i grab the nose of the board and duck dive through a wave until i have enough water to. To flip the board over
no duck dives when the trough goes knee high and the wave is chest high or above. shore pound on this beach can be brutal some days. i used to go mast up like so many....as a winger, one gust will put the wing right into the foil. I am fairly competent with the board sideways. Posted this to show that sometimes things don't go as planned, but staying calm, it is easy to get back into control by whatever method works best for you.
Id never enter with the foil in front of me Board to my side Arm over board holding mast base Foil out away from me
I am not sure what you are getting at exactly. My method is: foil and board to the side, rail downward until it is deep enough to get on, then it goes flat and I get on from the side. In this instance, I laid it flat to get on in deep water and the trough went super shallow 00:39 and I had to dive into the wave and separate from the board. I try to show the mistakes on this feed as well as the successes. This was a fail, but control was regained quickly after the set passed.
over board holding mast base....maybe we do not agree. Flipped board on top of the water in heavy shore pound is not good for me. I want that foil far from my face if a wave flips it. That way is very popular, I do not prefer it. Plenty of pros do.
999?
Art v2 999 Great foil!
999 FTW🤙
Look good but lots of hard work I shall stick to my much faster jet ski
without guys that love their jet skis, who would be left to tow us in? Glad you guys exist.
Awesome review. Been looking for this. What board and mast are you using with 999?
Axis Pump 30L and the 800 Ultra Pro mast.

Sounds right, but I could not tell you for certain.
What fuse and stab are you riding the 999 with?
358 35 and a crazyshort
Looks like soooo much fun!
Billyman!!! My sons name is Jettman! Just thought I’d let you know! The water looks nice today!!
You know, the internet knows me as William. Billyman is my secret superhero name. If I learned anything from Spiderman, the next few months are going to be difficult. 😂🤙
Does that propeller Just kick on when it touches water?
Lookin good!
Thanks!
Looks frikin awesome
Foiling is pretty awesome. Really fun stuff.
Art 999v2! thanks to a viewer for correcting me!
FYI this is not an Art Pro, it's the Axis ART v2 999
Thanks! Who knows how long I would be making that mistake if you had not have corrected me!
@@foilfanatic Cheers!
I like these insight! Greetings from an italian FD ambassador 🤙
Very Cool! Thanks for watching! I just subscribed to your channel as well.
@@foilfanatic thank you man! I learned a lot from your FD videos…well done! 🤙
Bro is Bluetooth surfing
🤣you ain't wrong, but still 🤣🤣🤙
Karlsson style
I just realized that the 999 is actually smaller than the 900. 1038cm2 vs 1099cm2. It pumps and glides like a bigger foil but turns are quick like the 900. I compared the foil to a 1201 in the video, but it is closer in size to the 900.
Sick for a dad move
Just looked at this on a big screen tv. My lip is purple! New GH7 camera requires you add color in during the edit process. I was gong for a cinematic look. Unfortunately, I ended up with that being cinematic horror show! The Walking Dead, how very emo. Which brings me to a point: This channel will now focus on two things, foiling progression and filming and edit progress. Bare with me as I figure out how to make this channel look and sound like it is produced by a much bigger team than me and my wife. 💀👾🤖
Have u tried the smaller sizes? How do they compare
I have the Art Pro 1001 which requires a thigh high wave to easily get started and it requires you maintain a pretty good clip to keep it from stalling. It is fun when you get it moving, but not practical for the waves I get. I assume the 879 will give me similar results since it has less than 800cm2 area. The 939 has the highest A.R. of the 3 at 10 and a surface area of 900. So I am interested in trying that one eventually for the bigger waves. I am kinda glad Axis only sent 1 for now. I would consider the 999 my Prime wing for Florida and I think Axis may have thought the same . I may ask them to let me try the 939 once I have really nailed this 999 down. I will try the 879 eventually, but it is much lower on the wish list. I have asked them for one of the new prone boards to send next. 🤙
Who sings this song
I created it using suno.com and a sample from Public Domain recording of Boots by Rudyard Kipling.
Magnificent ambassador for FD and Axis…
You are very kind, thanks!
Your content is awesome mate. So relatable and believable.. THANK YOU seriously.
Much appreciated! Word of warning, be careful believing too much of my hype. I tend to get way too excited about anything foiling related. The shorts feed keeps me honest. Hard to fake it if people are watching the reality of day to day riding. 🤙
Breedong season .. they are bewdiful
my favorite are the Eagle Rays. On clear days, it is mesmerizing riding with them.
@@foilfanatic yes the sea is wild
Great review! We’re excited for the future of these wings.
❤ AS IF REGULAR SURFING ISN'T HARD ENOUGH LET'S JUST MAKE IT WAY MORE DIFFICULT❤
I have never surfed, so I have no idea. But I learned how to foil in flat water 1st. The ocean is just where many of us end up. Flat water foiling basics can be learned quickly. Even that is super fun.
Looking good my brother!!
Thanks Pete! feeling better than I look!
Sick!!!! 🙌
Love this!
Thanks! I know you know that some days are more challenging than others!
lift boards are way better
It really depends on what you are chasing. Lift are easier, heavier, have the motor lower, and have more thrust. Ride time is about the same. It really depends on what you want to do with it. I am sure Lift will come out with an assist eventually. For now, they are apples to oranges apart.
That song has been going through my head for the past two days… ripping man 🙌
🤣🤙
Top speed of each foil?
And operating the camera!!! Masterclass !!,!
Too cool!
Top speed? What front foil?
