​@@Mr.ClooneysGamingArchive Good score first run, annihilated after that. The bot behaviour and game length entirely depends on which of the 2 random artifacts appear. First run I only had one bot following me, slowly, so I could take my time waiting for a better artifact and hoovering up secrets and monkey idols. They all spread out and slowly moved towards the 20. I tied 2nd place with 120 VP, second run I beat 2nd place by 1 with only 52 VP as the bots were determined to die trying to get to the 15.

@@Yewtewba 🤔 I think Twitch has a setting for stream quality that you can adjust.

@@Mr.ClooneysGamingArchive From what I googled, I don't think viewers get that option unless you're an affiliate or partner. Edit: looking further, it's called transcoding, and partners are guaranteed it, while affiliates get it if resources allow and get priority over regular streamers. My extremely rough estimate for one of your streams is about 2.5 GB. It's not that bad, tbh, but 2 hours like that would approach my daily high speed data limit (I've got 180gb a month and couldn't justify paying so much for additional internet anymore).

When the rules don't really affect your play style and the game feeds you treasure map and pickaxe in the first few turns, as well as all the healing and gold secrets, you're bound to do ok. I ran for the 7 for the carpet, then went for the 30. I ended up with 4 devices and 45 Gold. That 115 was from my first run. I saw in discord that Marcus got 134 his first run. He said "first run went ok".

@Yewtewba oh man! That sounds like a fantastic start of a great run! I’d love to have a watch of that. Getting both the treasure map and the pickaxe would be pretty helpful for this heist. I was just wondering whether there’s a discord for Clank! Is that the one in the pinned post in Steam Community? Ha Marcus, “first run went ok” for a run with 134 heist score?! 🤣 it was very “ok” indeed. I wonder for them what would count as superb or amazing? score 3000 and something more? 😝

Yeah. I think this run required more thoughtfulness than I could have had in that moment. Your advice are spot on. I think if I had known them, I’d probably have better chances.

But I just started playing very recently so I probably have a different set of expectations from experienced players when it comes to what is OP, or what is a high number achievable in Peglin. But I have been enjoying playing Peglin. Will be playing more and making more content. 😁

Yeah... this heist getting a win and clank reduction and a big deck, not super easy. Definitely need the stars to line up a bit for that to happen.

@@Mr.ClooneysGamingArchive I've gotta have reported 20 bugs by now. The inventory screen covered the results screen, and before that the dragon fired cubes that were half the height of the screen due to too much zooming. Gotta take months to fix all that (I assume the team is tiny), so it depends if they want perfection before leaving early access.

Oh yeah I share your sentiment totally. AI stealing cards are probably the most annoying aspect of playing the heists 😜 maybe apart from the bugs... But also if you play with real people, you'd run into the same problem. Right?

​​@@Mr.ClooneysGamingArchiveReal people might not want them, especially early game or without mercenaries, where they risk being a dead card. AI sees a 2 cost in the left column and says yes please. People can also be negotiated with if they read chat. AI you gotta avoid buying stuff and use the card that replaces cards/get lucky. If they're in the 2nd half of the deck you just won't see them. With AI you can choose player count, take your time, stall while healing, avoid buying stuff, not try to win and not look weird... And instant restart.

I bought some stuff and died below the depths. Meh. Btw mercenaries seem terrible here to me, no buying power and killing monsters for gold doesn't add to heist points. I would just spam explore. P.S. Elven boots beats explore any day. If it draws a burgle it's equal, if it draws a Brilliance it's insane.

You got and played all three eleven items in one turn?! That's definitely an achievement 😁 congrats!!! Swords sometimes can be useful if you can fight Cave Gollum, Overlord, or Cave Troll for either skill points or card draws. Getting gold doesn't help with heist itself directly but it does contribute to victory points which in turn contribute to heist scores though. Whether you buy crowns, bags, or keys for more victory points, carrying capacity or unlock paths for more loots. The other thing is it's a steady source of a cheap but good resource generation card.

​​​@@Mr.ClooneysGamingArchive2 of the elven items appeared in the shop the same turn and I had enough points to buy them both. I had one chance to play all 3, and less than a 1 in 8 chance to draw the 3rd one off one of the other 2 and got it. I consider a heist a failure without a 1st place anyway, and you can definitely grab the 30 without buying any mercenaries. There's 2 monsters on the left side between you and the 30. Gold is great for a key for escape/major secrets. That should be enough for AI. The issue is maxing your card count: clogging your hand with cards that don't draw a card and give 1 skill points seems bad

Neat! That's a very good score! Congrats! 7 boot in one turn is pretty handy. I had something similar in a previous heist. With the same heist point moodier where extra points were given. What was your deck looking like at that moment? What do you think worked well in that run? I am curious.

@@Mr.ClooneysGamingArchive I never really know what I'm doing when I play so I just go into it to have fun. I didn't really enjoy the AI taking the 7 and leaving immediately. They suddenly thought "wow gems are now worth buying, screw all this exploring I'm outta here". I only came first by 1 point on my successful run

Yeah sometimes AI just decides "oh well guess there's not much point in delving deeper for better artifact, gotta get something and get the heck out like NOW!" It is a tad bit annoying... They don't play like real human players and they tend to favor short run strategies over longer ones. That's still a win 😁 did you enjoy it?

@@Mr.ClooneysGamingArchive I've played a bunch of games since then and it wasn't that memorable tbh. Just another game against AI. Oh, I had a rather epic bug today in a 4 player online game: I had 2 hearts, 2 swords, 2 boots. 50/50 chance to draw a boot and escape. I got it but it wouldn't let me move past the 3 tunnel monsters. I called it a win. Support responded immediately but couldn't find the problem

Damn that bug still out there huh? Sorry to hear that the game fails at critical moments like that for you. But yeah definitely a win. I had a run into that one when playing another heist. I had enough health to go through a two monster tunnel but the game just wouldn't allow me.

My 4th or so attempt I got a 75 with little difficulty, including a 7 movement dead run turn to steal an artifact and ending on a 5 movement dead run to escape. My 2nd run I got zero points. 🤷🏻‍♂️ You also have the added handicap of live narration

Yeah it's not an easy one. Very much depending on how things line up for a player. If you have turn one Master Burglar plus some card draw, that solves half the problem. Add a Tattle and a Mr Whisker, that helps with the other. Best case scenario is no buddy else gets boot cards and having a slow start. But easier said than done.

The thing is I was surprised to make such good score on the last run. Tbh, after the first two runs I was feeling a bit less hopeful. It might look like I planned for the 3rd run to get the double flying carpet. I sure was excited to see them and grab them. But in that moment I probably haven't fully realize just how powerful the whole deck was when it comes to scoring heist points. I was pleasantly surprised at the end when I pulled off the double 11 boots turn. That's the point it hit me. "god, that would be so many heist points!" 😁

@@Mr.ClooneysGamingArchive I'd be interested to see if you get more than 62 on the current heist. 3 points per player you knock out, 3 points per card you trash, on top of the usual 50 for first place. I never once got a Master Burglar.

Damn. That's a tough one. I will be recording later today. We shall see how I go. I haven't seen the exact rules yet. What does it mean to knock out another player? Just that they died before you?

Supposedly it should revive you though 🤔 The rule does say every player would be revived once after they die. Right? That's unfortunate. Might have been a bug of some kind.

The no skip button is something I didn't expect 😝 that's why I said "weird". Losing by one point really hurts. It does happen to the best of us. I think no matter how well we plan our moves, there's a part of luck involved with how a game of Clank would turn out.

@@Mr.ClooneysGamingArchive Guess what? I just sent in a bunch of feedback because I'm near the end of the collapsing tunnel heroic version and I can't move through a non-collapsed tunnel. I can only take the "shortcut" to the wrong side of the map. The weirdest thing for me was that typing in the feedback form randomly moves the map and makes you seasick. Edit: leaving and coming back next turn, it worked (couldn't undo to test, was a secret in the way) and I got my carpet, so I'll probably live and might win even though I have 26 clank in the bag, almost half the total. Edit: everyone finished and I'm pissed off I came third haha.

Oof... Yeah... That's rough... I had something similar happening to me too... Preventing me to take a path I should have been able to take. Leading to a different result from what I expected. I love the board game. I also love the digital version. It is very faithful to the board game with all the nice visual and audio effects and whatnot. But the bugs... Sometimes they do make the game a little bit less enjoyable. Good on you to submit three feedbacks. Hopefully they can fix them in the next update.
