Ozzynium Walks
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 31 ก.ค. 2023
Ozzy is trying to do more travels involving hiking and camping in the great outdoors as it is the only way to be in touch with his real self because he considers his day job as his alter ego.
You will find his silent journeys here so that you can focus on the beauty of the trails he walks and on what he actually goes through instead of being distracted by him talking too much.

Spain | Camino Finisterre - Muxia | 2023's Finale | A Walk to the "Edge of the World"
In December 2023, I made the decision to conclude the year by embarking on a trek to the renowned "edge of the world" known as Camino Finisterre, the only trail leading away from Santiago de Compostela. This journey marked the conclusion of my travels in 2023, commencing from the east in the Philippines and culminating in the place that was formerly known as the "land's end", where ancient beliefs held that the sun met its demise beneath the waves of the Atlantic Ocean.
Some pilgrims, upon completing the Camino de Santiago, opt to extend their journey along the Camino Finisterre. Despite having recently completed the Camino Ingles, I felt compelled to continue the journey.
Traversing the picturesque trail through Costa da Morte, I eventually found solace in witnessing the sunset at Fisterra, releasing all pent-up frustrations and emerging with a revitalized perspective at sunrise in Muxia. Despite encountering rain during the initial days, my determination remained unwavering to complete the trek.
Join me on this introspective journey as I document my final trek of 2023 in this silent hiking video.

Japan | Walking Across the Mountains of the Kii Peninsula | Kumano Kodo Nakahechi Pilgrimage Route
มุมมอง 3.2K10 หลายเดือนก่อน
Japan's Kii peninsula, which is mostly within the Wakayama Prefecture, is a sacred place in Buddhism, Shinto, and Shugendo, and it is home to the ancient pilgrimage route of Kumano Kodo, which has been recognised as a Unesco World Heritage Site. Together with the three grand shrines along the way, the title "Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range" has been given. In my que...
Nepal | Journey Through the Himalayas | Everest Base Camp Trek
มุมมอง 8K11 หลายเดือนก่อน
Trekking to the Everest Base Camp had been part of my plans since 2019, but it was postponed a couple of times due to the pandemic. And finally, I was able to do it, and it was definitely worth the wait. Everest Base Camp is located at the foothills of Mount Everest at an altitude of 5364m above sea level. The trek took us through the village of Phakding, and Namche Bazaar on the first 2 days. ...
The Dual Pilgrim Quest Part 1 | Camino de Santiago: Camino Inglés
มุมมอง 362ปีที่แล้ว
September 2023 - Walking on the Camino de Santiago on my own. There were many caminos to choose from, my time was limited, and to qualify for the Compostela (pilgrim certificate), I needed to walk more than 100km. I initially planned to do the Camino Frances from Sarria or Coastal Camino Portugués from Vigo but thought those were just the last 100km, and it would be more meaningful if I started...
Exploring the Wonders of West Greenland | Ilulissat and Kangerlussuaq
มุมมอง 2.9Kปีที่แล้ว
In July 2023, right after my adventures in Iceland, I flew to Greenland to fulfil my dream of finally stepping on the second-largest inland ice sheet in the world before it melts away But before that, I had to explore what the famous seaside town of Ilulissat had to offer. Ilulissat is known for the Icefjord, a UNESCO world heritage site that runs from the Greenland ice sheet to Disko Bay. I in...
Icelandic Solitude | Hiking Alone on the Laugavegur and Fimmvörðuháls Trail
มุมมอง 3.3Kปีที่แล้ว
The Laugavegur trail is located in Suðurland, the southern region of Iceland, and it runs for approximately 55km across varied landscapes, from colourful rhyolite mountains, canyons, lakes, and moss-covered lava and obsidian plains, to forests, rivers, glaciers and waterfalls. In addition to the Laugavegur trail, the Fimmvörðuháls trail is a nice cherry-on-top in which I walked in between 2 of ...
Hiking and Camping in Cairngorms National Park: Ben Macdui to Loch Avon.
มุมมอง 316ปีที่แล้ว
A trial video for my new channel as I am new at video editing. In June 2023, my work friends and I climbed the second-highest mountain in the UK, Ben Macdui, and we decided to camp for 2 nights even though we were all amateurs at camping. Nevertheless, we came prepared and we were very lucky with the weather. Initially, I was only planning a couple of day hikes in Cairngorms National Park, but ...
Hi there, what is the name of your accomodation in Fushiogami Oji? Thanks.😊
Hello. It's called Guest House Asyl. 😊
good, very good! 👍
there is no such thing as solitude on this trail. Too many people.
Hey there ! where did u stay in Nachisan before you finished your last leg for the hike? thx
Hello, thanks for watching. Yup, I stayed in Nachisan so that I could explore the place without rushing.
@@Ozzynium do you remember the name of the place ? also from there its the end of the line. you just bus back to the station
@@yoshirisgalla6569 The place is called Mitaki Sanso. They have a room with the view of the Nachi falls. iirc, it's the only accommodation you can book in nachisan through the kumano website, so you might want to book well in advance. And yeah, I just took the bus to Nachi train station, hopped on a train to Shingu, then walked to the third grand shrine of the Kumano, the Kumano Hayatama Taisha.
Getting closer to my date. I’m nervous and excited. Rewatching your awesome adventure. Wow, the trail is just beautiful. I appreciate you holding that stick to capture all the beauty of nature. Great job, looking forward to watching more video from you.
I'm so excited for you. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I actually want to go back to Japan and do more treks there. (And eat more food 🤣) I am still in the middle of putting together my next video, but I don't have the time to edit at the moment.
@@OzzyniumLooking forward to the food too. Since Im not staying at a guesthouse, I’ll use that save money to splurge on food and lots of it. LOL. Yeah I’ll definitely have to come back for more. You take care of your footages so that’s why you take a long time editing. As for me, everything done on my iPhone and iMovie, no color correction etc. I enjoyed putting it together. It’s a good way for me to reminisce the path I took.
Rewatching your epic journey. I saw mostly you used the insta 360, and occasionally your big Dslr. When you do use it , boy it’s really nice. If you were to do it again, would you carry the heavy dslr, regarding the weight of the camera? 36:36 was the exact spot I took a 20 minutes nap before heading into Santiago. Don’t be shy, maybe next video say a “buen Camino” with a smile and instantly your video will go viral LOL. All seriousness, cool video, you took your time putting it together. 👏👏👏👍👍
Thanks, man. Yeah, it was easier for me to just press the record button on my insta360 because it keeps me walking instead of stopping and using the big camera, although I will never give up my dslr as it allows me to capture more details with it and gives me a reason to rest my feet a bit 😅
Nice video. Beautiful trail - well captured. 😊
Thank you very much for watching!
Thanks for sharing your journey. 11:45 you are hilarious Ozzy LOL. When you were on the Camino Ingles did you see “fountain of gas” in the town of Gas 😂. Rough ozzy, all rain, except last day. Nice, well put together. Buen Camino my friend.
Thanks, buddy. Yup, it was raining like crazy. I did enjoy the walk, nevertheless. 😆 I see you noticed that Pornos sign, huh? I sent a photo of that to my friends, and they all went crazy. Lol. All the best, mate.
Man Ozzy, this place is amazing. Definitely more challenging than Camino and Kumano Kodo for sure. Water crossing and camping in the wild, wow. Question about the 3 meter pole for your insta360, do you have to check in bag or can it be carry onto the plane? Well done on your video. 👏 👏 👏
Yeah, it was proper adventure. I usually just keep the pole in my carry-on bag, I never had any problems with it around Europe. I only had that one time after my Finisterre walk, they flagged my bag and asked me what the pole is for, I just said it's for my camera (while pointing at my mirrorless camera 😂) and they let me go with it.
Just saw your channel and found that you completed the dual pilgrim, congrats. Quick question for you, I completed Camino Ingles end of March this year and will do the Kumano Kodo first week of May, in 3 weeks. My question, can I bring my completed Camino ingles credential (stamps) to show them. So when I collected all stamps for the Nakahechi trail and arrive at Kumano Hongu Taisha will they let me apply and qualify for the Dual pilgrim certificate/pin and beat the taiko drum? Do I bring just stamps credentials for Camino ingles or should I bring along my Compostela? I’ll try to reach out to Tanabe tourism bureau for an answer. Thanks
Thanks. Just found the answer on their website. It doesn’t have to be on the same credential for Kumano Kodo. They just need some prove that you did the Camino (credential or pic of Compostela) is fine.
Thanks for watching my video. I just brought my credential with me, and that was the one I showed to the office in Hongu to get the certificate, and pin. I never had a chance to beat the taiko as I needed to go to Yunomine Onsen right after, but you can ask in the tourist office if it's possible to do so. I'm so excited for you, I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy the trek as much as I did. All the best and although this is only said in Camino de Santiago, but I'll say it anyway: "Buen Camino!" 😁
Oh, and they will also add your photo to the dual pilgrim website if you choose to do so. I did, although it took 10 days for it to appear there. 😅
@@Ozzynium Nice! Where are you from Ozzy? So what’s your next adventure? Another Camino in the work? I think I am all done, 3 Caminos are enough for now. Found out about Kumano Kodo last day to Santiago for Camino Ingles, walked with a family from Cape Town Africa and they told me about it. So this trip to do the Kumano was a last mins so that means I can’t booked accommodations. As a back up I will bring my ultra lightweight tent and sleeping pad. I found there are 3 camping sites. I am sure I’ll find something along the way. If not then camping is not so bad. Weather now is around 70 degrees. Anyway, I’m excited and looking forward to see what you experienced. It’s just not the same on video, have to be there to fully embrace the beauty.
I was looking for Ozzy on the dual pilgrim pic website, but no Ozzy, maybe a different name LOL. Anyway, big Congrats for you.
Thanks for sharing your Camino journey. How do you like Camino Ingles? There were some challenging section. When you said dual pilgrim, are you referring to Camino de Santiago and the Kumano Kodo in Japan? 14:00 you captured a beautiful rainbow 🌈.
Oh, I saw your comment in the Kumano Kodo video first. Thanks again for watching! Camino Ingles was my first Camino, and it was a memorable one. And yes, it's the dual pilgrim status after completing both Camino de Santiago and Kumano Kodo. Cheers! 😁
I have watched almost all the Kumano Kodo videos, and this one is by far The Best! Simply beautiful, well shot and edited... it's a whole Mood! Loved it, thank you for all your hard work in creating it.
Hiya! Thanks for taking the time to watch my video. I'm really glad you enjoyed it. 😊
Ozzynium Walks, la hermosa Galicia. Hija de la lluvia y de la magia. Gracias por visitarnos.
¡Gracias por ver este vídeo! 😊
Very good video
Thanks so much for watching!
Thank you for sharing your wonderful journeys
Thank you so much for watching my video. ☺️
What month were you walking in? Its very rainy and lovely with many flowers and some Autumn colour.
Hello! Thanks for watching my video. I did the walk in early November last year. The leaves were just starting to show the autumn colours.
We will be going to the Kumano Hongu area in May, so no Autumn colour, but still very beautiful I'm sure. I really admire your drone skills and the calmness you embody. It really feels like a spiritual experience following you on this journey.
Oh nice, I'm sure you'll love the Kumano Hongu area. I read somewhere that the peak of the Sakura season is around April. Hopefully, there will still be some cherry blossoms in May. 😊
Nice vid matey. Which model drone did you take. The 360 Insta camera works well hiking to give another perspective.
Thanks so much! I love the 360 cam because I didn't have to set up a camera on a tripod every time. I used the DJI mini 2. It's light enough to carry when I'm doing multi-day hikes. 😀
Great travels my son, just stay safe and sound!😊❤
well done mate, big accomplishment. great video as well. thank yo for sharing.... can you tell me what month you went ? thank you
Thanks so much, mate! I did the trek late October to early November. We got really lucky with the weather. 😁
I love watching EBC treks, and this is the best one on TH-cam! You are a wonderful videographer, and I cannot wait to see where you trek in the future! I searched the description to see if you listed your equipment used in the video. I'm interested in what camera you used?
Hello! Thank you so much! I used just a Nikon Z6ii with the 24-70 kit lens and an Insta360 X3 for this video, and my phone when I was too lazy to get both cameras running. 😅 I hope that helps.
Heavenly
Same here
Hello Ozzynium, when month were you there?
Hello, I was there from the end of October to early November.
wonderful! Muchas gracias amigo, saludos del Ecuador.
Hola, de nada, ¡gracias a ti también! I hope I can visit and do some treks in the Ecuadorian Andes in the future. 😊
@@Ozzynium sure let me know. Maybe can help. Saludos
In which month did you travel?
Hi! I was there from late October to early November.

Hey Ozzynium, I saw you walked. And you walked well prepared for physical and mental challanges. I also saw you walked to a beautiful destination with not so safe looking roads but with parallel green mountains. And the videography was amazing. Not all silent video, I watch full. Thanks mate.
Thanks so much for watching my video. 😊
Fantastic film, great video technique! The lack of commentary makes it! One of my favourite if not my favourite on EBC.I'm going end of February, and I can't wait! 😊
Thanks so much! Enjoy your EBC trek! 2 months to go! Next thing you know, you'll be on the plane to Lukla! Just thinking of it makes me excited about your trip, too. 😁
What an absolutely gorgeous film. You are so talented! Thank you for sharing this with the world. I am planning for this trip next summer, and this was so enjoyable for me to watch. Can’t wait. 🌋🥾🧊
Thanks so much! You'll love it there. These videos don't do it justice. I hope this gave you a glimpse of what to expect along the trail. 😊
nice short
Thanks for watching my... short 😅
Great videography!! Great shots, A voiceover in the background would have made a difference.
Thanks so much! I'm not sure about the voiceover because I think I have a terrible voice. 😂
Wonderful video! May i ask which month of the year is this shot in ?
Thanks so much! I was in Greenland at the end of July.
@@Ozzynium thanks!
Hello, we have met you on the trail! I am the girl in the video of 08:57, I'm so surprised to see myself. :D I love your video so much, thank you for sharing this. The weather is amazing these days right? We have made a video for our trail and uploaded to TH-cam too, it's a pity that we didn't take any great scene for you, but I found one shot of you, it seems that the comment doesn't allow any link, I don't know how to share with you... Anyway, thank you for letting us relive such a wonderful place. :)
Oh wow, it's amazing that you came across my video. Thanks so much for watching it! It was an amazing hike, and we were really lucky with the weather. I went ahead and checked your video, and that is great, too. It made me want to do the trail over again. I was wondering how you were during the first night because I heard the wind up in Hrafntinnusker was really strong, even in Alftavatn, it pulled almost all my tent pegs out.
Follow u🎉~
@@Ozzynium Thank you for watching our video too. :D The first night is so windy in Hrafntinnusker too and it was very cold (but I think Fimmvörðuháls is much more cold). We have visit a little mountain called Söðull and it is totall worth it. The wind in Alftavatn is so strong too, I heard the staff suggest the hiker who want to camp there keep moving to Hvanngil because there is less wind. We stay at hut in the whole trail, I'm so admire you to camp there, you are so strong and amazing!
@illbleeding1 Yeah, it was scary when I was there. I wanted to go all the way to Hvangil but I was already too tired from walking all the way to Alftavatn in 1 day. 😅
Thanks so much for sharing your journey. I hope to do that Camino some day & it gave me a great insight of the trail etc. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thanks for watching my video. I'm glad you're finding this helpful in planning your Camino even though this is not much of a guide, but feel free to ask me anything and I'll try my best to give you some tips based on my experience.
Which month was this?
Hi! This was mid-July this year.
Thank you for the quiet atmosphere this walk deserves. The music is amazing !
Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed my video. 😊
Such a beautiful video.❤ I am in love with Greenland! I was there this June.
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. I'm sure you had a wonderful time there, too. It's such an amazing place, isn't it? 🤩
Wow. Love this.
Thanks! 😃
Fun fact Greenland used to be called Iceland mk2 until they realised the agricultural properties of icebergs and started growing lettuces.
huh, I didn't know iceberg lettuces originally came from Greenland. You learn something new every day. 😅
Wow, that's amazing! And relaxing, too! omg! Keep it up!
Glad you enjoyed it!😊
Omg, I am speechless! Absolutely breathtaking scenery, your cinematography is simply incredible my friend!
Wow, thanks so much! I'm pretty new to this, so I still have a lot to learn. 😁
cool place👍👍👍

where is the coolest place you've ever walked?
I guess this has taken the top spot for me.
