Please buy a leash for your cats so they can experience the outside (because one of your cats clearly always wants to see what it's like) then everyone is happy and safe. I know safety for cats is a big problem in America so I understand wanting to keep them safe but you wouldn't keep a dog inside forever so why would you do that to a cat? Their reaction is so boring. This is why I love dogs! My dog loves the snow. He likes to play and rub his face in it with his butt up in the air and he also uses his nose to fling snow up in the air. It's so funny and cute.

To add to all the “cats are heat seeker” comments, the snow outside usually stays snow, even when the cat steps on it, since the whole area is cold. The snow in the shower probably started melting so they weren’t only standing on the cold, but it was wet and cold. The two things cats hate the most combined. That doesn’t mean cats inherently hate snow- my cat loves jumping around in fresh, floofy, powdery snow for about five minutes until she’s too cold and wants to be back inside. Some cats might enjoy doing that for even longer than 5 minutes. You could’ve gotten the cats a harness and see how they would’ve reacted to the actual outside snow instead of this.
