This is a mix of a Shure MV88 mounted to an iPhone 14 and the line of the mixing board. What you’re hearing is about 65 % MVE and 35% sound board

Nice fireworks display
Clapton sounded best
Thank you for this! fantastic!
I’d start by spraying deoxit in the inputs. I bought mine used and replaced the subs with Eminence woofers as they were blown by previous owner.
Clapton sounds the best to me, closest to the pre cbs era, then probs the green one and the modern blue one, don't like the white silver guitar much at all
they are ultra noiseless not vintage
I think the clapton is vintage noiseless and the ultra is ultra noiseless.
Thanks - very helpful. I have been considering the Ultra vs the Clapton. The Clapton was my favorite here as the tone broke perfectly for blues right off. Still not sure which is better for getting a warm clean chord tone for jazz kind of comping. But they are all great. Nice collection. I appreciate how you did this videos. Most videos like this are not as helpful as it seems like it’s always some hot shot just wanting to show off - but you were consistent and straight forward giving us tone samples that can be compared - thank you
Thank you. There aren’t a lot of no-frills, same riff, back to back strat videos out there..which is why I made this one. After some experimenting, I found that I’m too dumb for the clapton. If you commit to its tone, it’s more versatile…and I LOVE the neck. However for jazz, you MIGHT be fighting with it to keep it totally clean. The compound radius of the ultra is great too. There is a noticeable difference in apples/apples volume with the Clapton, as I mentioned. In the end, I just put a Duncan Pearly Gates in the bridge of the gold one and it’s at the top of that list now.
#1 Ultra, #2 green , #3 custom #4 clapton
Have you hook up a power conditioner because that might lead you to the reason why?
It could be a problem cause by dirty power if you have changed all ideas if you can like cables. Ask Mackie if you can to get it repaired
I had a similar constant problem with my Mackie speakers and couldn't figure out what was wrong with them.... until I replaced the cable/power source and power strip I was using to power the speakers. PROBLEM SOLVED!!! My Mackies were perfectly fine, the old defective power cable and power strip were the culprit. Sometimes, poor or inappropriate electric cabling (bad grounding) in the building could cause ugly annoying noise too, similar to what your speaker is making. Hope this helps and good luck!!!
Did you try a different cable ?
Crap speakers. Bought 2 worked for a year then packed in. Mackie, won’t even look at them as the warranty’s expired. Throw them in the bin mate …. Rubbish speakers and even worse after sales service…. Sorry I can’t help…
Come in orson!
I got nothin
I even have one and Hadn't noticed anything on mine.
What's your levels? I'd kick the carp out of it maybe heat it up and see what happens. I max mine out all of the time.
@@chuckwalters4759 That’s something I’m wondering about also… if I can run it wide open for an extended time without damage. I have a jbl718xlf that is loud punchy and heavy. I want this for smaller gigs when I want a sub but don’t necessarily need the 718 pounding everyone’s chest. 2,000 watts of this doesn’t seem to go nearly as far as 1500 watts of the 718.
I beat the snot out of mine! 3yrs now I DJ and it has a fan. If it needs to cool then the fan should do its job.
Nope not helping
Just found this, sounds to me like something interfering. Possibly a cell phone to close to something? Try turning off the bluetooth and check it? Sounds almost like wifi or cell interference, which is why I wondered about the bluetooth.
That is what it was. Bluetooth was messing it up. Sub works great now.

Stuff gets pretty boring up there around this time of year doesn't it? Good research on finding the PrePlandemic Evidence. !!!
Many, many thanks!!!!
